How will no campground effect your PKI visits?

Featured Replies

It is increasing looking like The Great Wolf Lodge will be a reality and the campgrounds are gone. How, if at all, will this influence how often you visit PKI and where you sleep when you do?

Have a great off season!

They will build another campground with lots of themeing but probably not as big.

I never went to the campground so it wont effect me at all.

If they do move and retheme the campground I think they should theme it to a Wild West theme or Outer Space theme.

In a recent survey Paramount Parks asked if they re-do the campground what theme would you like and the overall choice was Nicktoons.

Very easy like theming a park....If you didnt know derbeast the campgrounds where theme to yogi bear & Jellystone park at one time.

The three people who voted "I will never go to the park again" will be the first people to use the hotel. You people always whine about stuff that is good.

Make that four I will not be staying at that over-priced hotel sorry unc! But once you'll campout you never go to ''hotels'' again.

Well you forgot the Kings Island Hotel. I have not been to the Campgrounds so I would not care if it left or not.

The question was will you visit PKI anymore, not will you visit the hotel. Read the question.

So I guess we can ban you from PKI and you wouldnt have any problems with it.

Let me get this straight. There are people here that are so upset about the campsite closing that they have actually stated they will never come back to PKI. This is the same campsite that sits on a busy road. Not to mention across from a comfy hotel. I enjoyed the campsite folks but let’s face it this change is for the better. Were talking about summer fun year round people!

Try this on for size. How about an annual post season blowout party for PKIC members at the new digs? You can look out your hotel window and see the park. I am sure PKI has plans on moving the campsite.

Hey people,

Why dont you wait for the park to make an offical announcement before going off on them?

Oh and famous Tom quote coming up:

For those of you who would never visit the park again due to them taking out the campgrounds: Good. I dont need you in the park. Shorter lines for me.

Truer words were never spoken.

I'd bet money that the 4 people that voted no will be there tomorrow.

HA! you make this ghost giggle I have very little doubt I will visit the park this year anyway I will be going to IOA and CP and other parks this year not having the campgrounds is another reason why I may not visit the park this year you can't ban me from the park you dont have the right to do so besides you have no clue who Iam or the others that voted the way I did you dont know us.Besides just because we dont want a pricey Hotel doesnt mean we wont visit the park that camp-ground is rich in history paramount is removing classic rides and classic landmarks ya know some of us like to campout for the thrill of it. jerry.gif

Who the hell named the campground a landmark???

And as Scooby Doo said, you will be visiting the construction tour tomorrow, hence you will be visiting the park. Familyman, I think Giggling Ghost owes you some money on that bet...

lol I think that Paramount parks has made tremendous improvements at PKI. Every year there is something new to look forward to. I have been a season pass holder for years! My wife thinks I am a big kid going to PKI tomorrow in freezing weather to see a bunch of dirt but I am a freak. I need therapy. Someone please help me. wacko.gif

Who the hell named the campground a landmark???

Kings Island my friend and the fans that follow the history of the park.

Ya think? KI not PKI named it a landmark why would PKI name it that when paramount is the one getting rid of it?

In the 90's... when Jellystone park was the theme of the campground many fans think Flyers was a classic ride and PKI threw it away just like the campground.

The 90's... Wow, how descriptive! Considering it was PKI for 8 of those 10 years, I doubt it. Let's see some proof that you aren't making up facts.

It was 1987- 1993 Ghost thats when yogi was the main theme to the campground.

Just because it was themed to Jellystone doesn't mean that it's a landmark. That's like saying because IJST is themed to Italian Job that it is a landmark.

nope henry bad...they were saying it was a landmark to the park and now everything that was put in when was built is being removed one by one bolt by bolt.

Its the end of the world as we know it! And I feel fine. Bla bla bla
