February 25, 200422 yr Really hosently I would say none at least not for awhile do to the main fact that all the older rides are still great rides and delvier us thrills without high maintance
February 26, 200422 yr Glassblower shop, All Star Cafe, International Restraunt, and Octoberfest Gardens. Are random shops that have seen their time in the park and have passed on. Althow, anything is possible... :cowboy:
February 26, 200422 yr I would hate for the glassblower shop to go. Although I have never bought anything from there, I like to stroll through at the end of the night before I head home.
February 26, 200422 yr I think that in the broad scheme of things no rides will be removed to soon but I do have a top 3. Vortex Congo Falls Some Of the Water Works Attractions
February 26, 200422 yr First of all, I don`t think Vortex is going anywhere anytime soon as they just repainted it for the 2002 season.. Secondly, I don`t forsee Congo going anywhere either as it is such a high capacity ride with 20 guests per boat. I have never seen that ride with its entire queue full, even on the most busy days. Thridly, I don`t think any of the WaterWorks attractions are going anyhere. The park is adding Boomerang Bay and has/is refurbishing some of the older slides. So I highly doubt they plan to remove a water attraction in the near future. if they were going to remove a ride, they probably would have done so in this off season. This is because the water park is in disarray from the construction, so getting construction equipment in to remove the attraction and the need landscaping would not be a problem. in the grand scheme of things, all sections of the park will probably loose an attraction at some point, whether next year or in twenty.
February 26, 200422 yr I could see Congo Falls being taken out since its old and :censored: . If the park does take out the congo I would like to see it be replaced with something of the same time but bigger, better, and steeper like perlis plunge at knotts

If you read my post you would know that I said "In the BROAD SCHEME" meaning, not anytime soon lol.
February 27, 200422 yr Was there any warning before the KC was removed? I mean, did rumors circulate about its demise beforehand? I held a season pass that year, but wasn't too much into the park at the time, and just one day they were removing it... I know they announced the last day of PT, did they do the same with KC?
February 27, 200422 yr Nope, When you arrived at PKI on opening day 02 you saw SS being built and KC's lift and two bunny hills left. There was no precursor to its deconstruction.
February 28, 200422 yr I think Delirium will be the next thing to go. lol.. yeah because we all know what kind of a flop Delirium was.
February 28, 200422 yr I would hate for the glassblower shop to go. Although I have never bought anything from there, I like to stroll through at the end of the night before I head home. Sorry to say but i think that the Glass blower shop has been gone! The Demon
February 29, 200422 yr When did Glass blower go? I am quite sure that I visited it last year. Also, I think that Cyber Sez and the Magic Shop will be the next to go. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef :chef: Mod Edit: Please use a REASONABLE amount of smilies and don't overdue the punctuation. -BdH
February 29, 200422 yr i dont remember the glass blower shop being gone either. i remember walking throgh it in the 03 season and the person was glass blowing so i would like to know when it went.
February 29, 200422 yr Oh wait.....Sorry about that....I forgot that it had moved. My apologies! I forgot that it had moved from one end of I-street to the other. I am sorry Steve
March 2, 200422 yr The glassblower shop was there two years ago, I know for sure. I didn't go last year, so I can't say for sure. Chef, where's the Magic Shop and what do they sell?
March 2, 200422 yr I dont think the magic shop sells anything. Isnt it just a booth or shack along a pathway with a guy doing magic tricks inside?
March 2, 200422 yr I believe The King Kobra was advertised on online auction sites well before it was removed, so a few people had an idea it was on it's way out. BTW: I've started an online gallery of photos from Kings Island from days gone past. I'm looking for photos from missing rides, and nostalgia from the park. If you have some photos you would like to add, please contact me. You can view what I've put up so far at http://www.doomedthemovie.com/gallery/KI_History There are a couple shots of The Bat which I find to be the hardest shots to find, if ANYBODY has those, let me know, as well as old rides, shots of the park, especially from the 70's. - Robert E. Waring
March 2, 200422 yr ^ Ah, first of all, welcome to PKIC! Second of all, that is an excellent photo collection there. If you guys haven't checked it out yet, I recommend that you do so!
March 2, 200422 yr I dont think the magic shop sells anything. Isnt it just a booth or shack along a pathway with a guy doing magic tricks inside? The magic shop sells small items like card tricks and stuff like that.
March 2, 200422 yr ATTENTION: Mr. Waring and I have struck a deal and he will be contributing all these photos to PKIC.
