I wouldn’t be surprised if Carnivale doesn’t make a return for the 2024 season. I bought the tasting card and wasn’t impressed with the 2023 season’s food lineup. Im guessing a lot of people made the smarter decision and didn’t bother getting a tasting card at all. 

With Kings Dominion still getting Grand Carnivale I wonder if they'll just have three of the parks host the event with the three sets of floats. California's Great America appears to have its own New Orleans themed set of floats for its Carnivale at Orleans Place event.

What’s odd is that KD is doing it, Carowinds is not.

But I share in your sentiment. The food wasn’t as good last year as previous years. Plus if I recall the card was far more expensive. This was in addition to all of the other cuts that took place with GC last year. 
 

I love the opening ceremony and the parade, but having them as essentially two Al la carte events, it loses its allure compared to when GC was a full blown event.

I’m guessing KD sells those tasting cards like hotcakes given how awesome their food is, and they don’t skimp either. I can’t speak the same for Carowinds, and KI isn’t much better than Carowinds. IMHO.

Heck-there are so many streamers STILL left in the trees that the park was too lazy to remove, if they cancel the event, we can just look up and pretend it’s still happening.

Or just convince ourselves that we missed the parade. 

To be fair, I don’t think laziness is the reason why some streamers are still around.

I try to not be too harsh, but when they are on trees that got new lights, or buildings that had decor changes 2x (haunt and WintefFest) it might not be lazy, but it certainly wasn’t thorough. All in fun anyway.
