kingsislandfan1972 Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 With the new Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare attraction coming in 2026, how long do you think the wait times will be throughout the year? Considering it'll be a new attraction, I'm predicting over an hour. But do all of you think? Also those of you like myself who rode the original Phantom Theater for me it was late 90s early 2000s when I was just a kid, what were the wait times for the ride back then? For me it always felt like a walk-on and never saw much of a line, but I was a young kid at the time so I really dont remember a lot, does anybody else remember? Quote
Hawaiian Coasters 325 Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 I'm guessing opening weekend and probably on most weekends, the line will probably be similar to the final days of Boo Blasters where it spills out onto the midway and heads towards Peanuts Showplace. Quote
rexpostal Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 When? On Fridays and Saturdays in October? The opening day? A random weekday in May after daily operations begins? First thing in the morning? Minutes before closing? Right at lunch time? Seems like it could have different waits during the day every single day. Quote

I...am SteVe Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 I think it'll average over an hour over the course of the season. I'm curious if more queue space will be added. 1 Quote

Whether that would be extended queue space or a Phantom Theater character meet and greet area and/or PT museum (like the lobby of PT Encore). Quote
beastfan11 Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 The line will certainly be twice as long thanks to Paramount massacring the capacity by removing every other ride vehicle. All of that for Phantom to make a comeback. Ha. 1 Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 It depends on the configuration of the speed of the conveyor and how many buggies return to the ride. buggies: Right now we have seen photos of all the buggies from Boo Blasters moved to a new spot at TimberWolf. This leads me to one of two thoughts. I don’t believe they will be trashing them based on the concept art buggies looking the same with new colors. So second option, they are getting ready for modification work. Additionally I don’t see the park shelling out for 30 additional vehicles to return it to its previous capacity. Sorry, but I think they are gone forever. ride speed: Not sure what the speed is at the moment but from my time working at SDATHC I do recall the turntable/ride speed has 2 speeds. Speed 1 is normal ride, and 2 is super slow. In some cases the ride would stop if a delay in the station occurs. I hope KI figures a way to allow the seamless transition on and off the turntable platform that eliminates the overcrowding at the exit point and quicker loading to prevent turntable stops. These two factors make me believe we’re looking at a full indoor queue always at 45+ wait on most days. With FL I imagine the normal queue will reach 90+ minutes most summer days. I really would love to see KI extend the outdoor queue section. Also don’t underestimate indoor AC popularity. 3 Quote
