The Italian Job

Featured Replies

actually when the movie came out I thought it looked like the worst movie i would ever see and when they announced this ride I was very dissapointed but now after actually seeing it, I cant wait for the ride.

that is EXACTLY how i felt.

hahah yeah the move looked so stupid in the previews and it turned out to be one of the best movies ive ever seen

Yeah, it was an awsome movie. I love movies where bad guys win, ie...Italian Job, Oceans Eleven/Twelve, Swordfish, After the Sunset, etc

Is anyone else excited to see what this surprise is?

they should atleast add an armored car to the scenery to make it like the movie, i wonder what the surprise is going to be, maybe something to do with the motorcylists who chased them through the subway in the movie. They could make it seem like gun shots are going off around you in the tunnel.

I saw this movie but werent the people that were trying to steel that money back good guys?

As much as I wanted the Addams Family Coaster..I still would love to see it at PKI,I think I will love this stunt track as long as I have enough leg room.

Yea, the movie never really has good guys in it, since the group we follow is trying to steal back something they stole that got stolen from them. In other words, there is bad guys and more bad guys. The more bad guys steal the stolen gold from the bad guys because of a traitor. So the bad guys spend the movie trying to find a way to get their gold back from the traitor (the more bad guy). In the end, the bad guys get their gold back, and the more bad guys end up dead.... sooo, even though there are technically "bad guys," during the movie you are sitting there hoping they get the gold bag, as if you are thinking they are good guys...

Did they have any of those "hollywood special effects" going on yet?

They had some of the special effects running last Friday the 25th around 8pm. I was training a class in PKIU and when i got out I could hear the police car sirens running I didn't go check it out cause I had to leave but I never heard any explosions or anything else.

Rumor has it that they ran the helicopter too...

Thanks for clearing that up.

It's kind of like the movie Blow. Johnny Depp is the hero of the movie, who is actually a criminal. I think it puts an interesting twist on the plots.

When I went into the park on Friday ( The media event day ) I heard the sirens so I figured I would go around and have a look at it running. The helicopter was working and the explosions were also working. The cop cars seemed to be a bit out of sync with the cars, but I am sure they will fix that. The ride looks awesome and I can't wait to ride it. There are some really cool effects and I think KI did a good thing by getting this ride.

Was walking by the entrance to the ride today and overheard a ride-op telling a guest that the ride may be open as early as next week for the public to ride...if not next week, later this month.

This is just a rumor...something that I overheard. I can't guarantee accuracy. And yes, I know media day is the 19th. I'm sure this rumor, if true, is just talk of a soft opening.
