Hopefully PKI does the new campground like CP's Light House Point. Absolutely amazing camping facility, plus the view is great. We can only hope it is done right and not like a KOA. After all we can go to a KOA almost anywhere, but the upscale camping with cabins and all is really a unique experience.

Lighthouse Point is a nice facility, but the cabins need to be either bigger or the price reduced. They are great in July & August when the weather is warm, but in May, June and September when you have to be in the cabin due to cooler weather the cabin is too cramped.

You can get a large room at Hotel Breakers for the same price as a cabin at Lighthouse Point.

Dang i was hoping there would be a new campground for 06. but all well i guess I got to wait another year. But I know they will be getting a new campground . they even sent out surveys about it, and plus i use to camp every year and the campground was always busy. A lot of people camped there. Its a heck of a lot cheaper than a motel. Plus you get a free ride to and from the park.

  • 3 weeks later...

I posted it back in October about a new CG for 2007, but someone thought I was on drugs. Nothing for 2006... But with Seibert gone, and the CBS fiasco, who knows what will happen. I know for sure that 2006 is the first year that our group will not be at PKI, but at CP. ( 45-60 people)None of us bought PKI Season passes this year, the first time since SP were available. Our trip in June has been my family tradition every year since 1987. When th CG is ready, we will be back.

He said it at the Boomerang Bay tour 2003.

Yea I was at that tour also and was told there would be boardwalk and less concreate in the waterpark, and you won't be able to see from one end to the other, and 3 years later were still burning our feet on the concreate.

I know i've been away from the web site for awhile but where did Siebert go to ?

Siebert is now working with Schlitterbahn parks as their manager of communications. It was a promotion for him. He left in the middle of December. Although, Maureen Kaiser, Siebert`s partner in crime is still around. Although, Siebert will be missed at PKI.

I doubt Siebert`s leaving the park will have much of an effect on the park. The more imporant thing that will affect the park is who becomes the new owners after CBS sells the parks.

Well you have to think about this logically, concrete gets warm but doesnt burn your feet, would you rather have asphalt? And I bet theres not boardwalk because then youd have to much liability of splinters of wood coming off and possibly injuring people.
