chatterbox2525
My family and I were thinking of going over to PKI on Memorial Day weekend or 4th of July can anyone tell me how busy they are those weekends This is our first time having season passes and we thought that might be a good weekend but not if the park is packed. Thanks
flightoffear1996
Well based on last year Memorial Day was packed and July 4th the park wasn't very busy at all.
Gordon Bombay
I worked on the 4th last year and the park was actually very crowded, the same goes for the other nights of fire days. With the night of fire celebration going on there is usually quite a big crowd but theres a lot more to see and do, if you dont mind the crowds and the waits then it will be a blast and the patriotic tributes and fireworks shows are spectacular. flightoffear1996
I was at the park on the 4th and it wasn't bad at all. I didnt stay until night time though. But durning the day we walked on basiclly every single ride.
teenageninja
This is where the problem lies. July 4th wasn't too bad until late afternoon if I remember right and that's when it picked up big time, it was really packed at the end of the night. gburn07
Not to change the subject...but I found out that one to two weeks before the fourth of July the park was at the least crowded times. Did anyone else think that?
CoastersRZ
It all depends on what days of the week you go to the park, and how the weather is.
PKIVortex
Memorial Day Weekend normally is pretty crowded. July 4th like what was said, can't start out slow, but get busy buy late afternoon. But you have a pass so why not go anyway. Is these the only times your planning on coming to PKI in 06?
chatterbox2525
No we are planning to go several times this summer but those are long weekends so we thought that would be good. We are coming from 3 hour away. We may give it a try those weekends even if it is busy. Any good campgrounds close I wish Pki 's was open but it wont be so I will have to find another one close. Thanks for all the info.
Gordon Bombay
^Yes, theres a nother, cant remember the name, but its close, right on the river. PKI will be building a new one soon I believe.
BoddaH1994
If these are your only opportunities to visit the park this year, I'd consider going over a weekend that's not a holiday. Nothing special happens Memorial Day weekend, but it's usually crowded. 4th of July has the Nights of Fire, which is an amazing show, but you won't get much ride time in. It's really up to what you're looking for in your experience.
CoastersRZ
Yeah. You would be amazed at the amount of cars that pour into PKI`s parking lot just to watch the fireworks from the parking lot on Nights of Fire! And they still are charging for cars to get in. Not sure if they will do that this year since they are closing the park at ten, instead of midnight like they did last year. Lets just say that when i was up there, I didn`t go into the park, but there were cars parked well into the Deep South lot.

Like he said the parking lot is packed full, if you go during nights of fire get there early or you won't find a parking spot. Might I suggest the All American meal deal, if they have it this year. Great buffet and It's worth the money.$9.99 for all you can drink, hot dogs, chicken , burgers and side items and a red white and blue popcycle. The Interpreter
Based on the food prices I have seen so far this year at Paramount's Carowinds and Paramount's Kings Dominion, I wouldn't bet the farm that such a deal will be available this year at Kings Island. If it is, I bet it will cost far more than $9.99.
ohiomom28
I am hoping to take my son one weekend in May. Do you think it will be really busy? We are going to go early right when they open.
