January 20, 200719 yr that pizza in the picture looks done just right. as a connoisseur of fine pizza everywhere, it's pauls pizza in detroit, johnny's pizza on the south side of columbus, dina's pizza in cleveland, giovanni's in portsmouth, and i haven't found any pizza in cincinnati worth mentioning. any recommendations i will gladly try except chicago style. eating larosa's by the fountains is better than festhaus.

Someone else mentioned Johnny's pizza to me a few weeks ago, and how great it is. I've lived in Columbus for almost 20 years, and have never been there! I even live on the south side (well, German Village...) Where is the Johnny's in question? (I tried to look it up, but there are several "Johnny's" in Columbus, and I'm not sure which one is the great one...)

Johnny's Pizza, 1336 Parsons Ave Columbus, OH 43206-3643 (614) 443-4168
January 20, 200719 yr A trick with midway market is to go there about 2-3 and pay the lunch price, but during that time they start converting over to dinner and thus more food and dinner for the price of lunch. I did that the last time I was at CP. Not only did my group pay less, we also avoided a LONG line. The park was packed and stacked on the last Saturday of the season.
January 20, 200719 yr ^Chicago Pizza co. in Van Wert ohio is darn good, I usually go there on my way to Indiana and Marions pizza in dayton is worth mentioning.

January 20, 200719 yr ^Id take real New York pizza over anything Ohio has to offer. Exactly. Real Pizza is in New York, Chicago and even Philly.
January 20, 200719 yr I for one do not like Larosa's pizza. First off every time I walk by the one on International street it smells like Vomet, absolutely disgusting. Also, the crust is too floury, and almost pasty to taste, and there is too much crust, I really do not like it, Im with interpreter on this one. My Favorite pizza anywhere is Marion's Pizza in Dayton, Ohio which the pizza place is exactly 1.5 miles from my house Problem is, Marion's burnt down one month ago, and I am sad At least, they are rebuilding...absolutely gutted the place

January 20, 200719 yr Marions is great pizza I also have one in my city. I'm like 5 minutes from the one in Englewood.
January 20, 200719 yr No good pizza in West Virginia? Surely you jest! I'd drive hundreds of miles (and do) just to go here: http://www.dicarlospizza.com/ And it has the added benefit of being very, very inexpensive, available by the slice and incredibly delicious!
January 21, 200719 yr They now have a store in Tuttle Crossing in Columbus, too! And yes, it's pizza. Ya gotta be adventurous. HOT crust, cold toppings. Very, very different. And very, very good!
January 21, 200719 yr Ask some Guido in NY if that's Pizza. I'm certain you'd hear an earful. That Guido would say the same thing, or worse, about La Rosa's...
January 21, 200719 yr Ask some Guido in NY if that's Pizza. I'm certain you'd hear an earful. That Guido would say the same thing, or worse, about La Rosa's... I've actually heard it said about LaRosa's from Italian friends. I just have to tell them that Buddy LaRosa would not be happy with what the restaurants have become.
January 26, 200719 yr Macaroni's and Game Day Sports cafe at Cedar Point are awesome for the price, a nice warm cooked dine in meal for the price of cafeteria food at ki, hope we can get something like that, although when i'm at Cedar Point it's hard to resist leaving the park for lunch and eating at east of chicago pizza on the causeway, that pizza bar is awesome.
January 29, 200719 yr Hey Combat, i live just south of van wert in celina and we have aa East of Chicago here and it is very good.
January 29, 200719 yr ^Good to hear, thats the one I always pass by and eat at on my way to Indiana. Unfortuanently I dont go to Angola anymore and rarely pass through van wert on the way to indy or fort wayne. Great place though!

I'd drive hundreds of miles (and do) just to go here: http://www.dicarlospizza.com/ And it has the added benefit of being very, very inexpensive, available by the slice and incredibly delicious! If you ever are in Inwood WV ('bout an hour outside DC) then you HAVE to go to Kings NY Pizza. Seriously. And that's all I have to say about that. Well, Kings is 6 hours away from me, but when we visit my family up in the Eastern Panhandle, Kings is a must do for us.
January 29, 200719 yr East of Chicago is the best food decision at Cedar Point! Every time we go we leave the park about 5:00 for a dinner break and then go back for one last go-around at the Point! I'd love to see PKI open up something nice in terms of a restaurant. IR was alwas a nice option, and I wouldn't even mind seeing a Johnny Rockets or something. . . maybe in place of Happy Days??
January 31, 200719 yr I emailed east of chicago once and told them it would be great to see them open a location in cincinnati, they replied saying thanks for the compliment, but we have no plans I get tired of the fast food pizzas around here, that stuff always taste so good, I also miss Mr. Gatti's
