Yep. I`d say they are power washing the track, to remove dirt and any pieces of loose paint so that the new paint has a clean surface to adhere to so that it won`t flake off after a couple months or a few years.

They HAVE TO power wash that track - need to get the "Cleveland" off of it! (hey, I was born there so I can comment if I wish!)

Are the rails going to be a different color? Maybe they are only painting the hard to reach area's before they install it. I have no idea.

How come it seems to me that they are only painting the ends of the track.

There is only one small section of one piece of track painted. I think they did that so they could see what it looked like before committing to anything.

Look at the new construction pics, they are more then just one piece of track starting to be painted red. That is what his question is referring too.
