Did CDBB change its name?

No leaks, it's just hard to get a park map when they're not open yet.

It is clear that the transition from PKI to just KI is going to have several speed bumps along the way, which is why it is going to be a slow transition to say the least. No doubt that certain things will not retain the movie names, especially if it's not a major attraction and/or Nickelodeon branded. Most likely we will begin to see references to areas of the park or attractions referred to as other things before an all out rebranding. CDBB will likely be no exception. If I had to guess, it will be "Boomerang Bay" by all accounts, but you probably won't see too many changes in that area of the park this year.

Cedar Fair, is likely still analyzing what they want to do with all the branded attractions, and how they can possibly utilize them to the best of their potential. I think it is no secret that Nickelodeon is a highly popular brand that Cedar Fair would probably not want to loose. The Paramount brands are not, IMO, as critical to pull people into the park as what Nick is.

I also hope they remove the posters from the side of the Paramount theatre. They have been there for years.

When I first started working at the park in 1995, those things were up there. They are so worn with age. I agree that these things need to come down now. Along with the NAME..."P" who must not be named Theatre.

Just think... after you're done swimming you can relax on Chairy or even connect the dots in the Magic Screen.

I hope that KI will re-name CDBB as Crocodile Kyle's Boomerang Bay. And I hope that all over those posters of Crocodile Dundee will be replaced with posters of Crocodile Kyle. He is a character, played by a local public access TV producer, that appeared in the programs "Taste of Thailand" and "Entertainers in the Tri-State".

Have a great day!

If they don't keep the rights to use the Crocodile Dundee's name, the other Crocodile name is WAY too similar, and would just invite a lawsuit from Viacom. Something Cedar Fair doesn't need right now...especially since they may sooner or later be meeting in court anyway on some son of a beastly matter....
