Hank
I almost hate to bring it up again, but has there been any pictures or "sightings" of what is being done/what is already done to SOB? I'm talking track here, not trains.
BoddaH1994
The SOB area is a "no-go" area, which is why you haven't seen any photos of it on KIC yet. I'm not sure what to tell you about when you'll hear more, or what progress has been made.
tycoonrebel7188
If you look really hard in some of the Firehawk construction pics here on KIC, I think you can see the part of the track that broke last year through the trees. You obviously can't see the loop area though. lol
AintNutinElse2Do
All this HUSH-HUSH on SOB really has to make you think. I mean it's not a new coaster I don't get why we know so much about Firehawk and next to nothing on SOB. Unless.... unless they are making a radical change to the ride and not just the neutering. Think about it Dollywood has released a lot of details about Mystery Mine but even Dolly has said there's suprises they are keeping hush. So it just makes me think we all know what SOB was like and what it would be like if they just took out the loop and put a straight peice of track there. So it really makes me think that there is a BIG change being made. I for one am a little bothered I don't know what Sonny boy is up to
BoddaH1994
I think this whole SOB fiasco is seens as a little embarressing to the park, so that's why it's not out there so much.
AintNutinElse2Do
Well perhaps all this lack of info on SOB is possibly because of the embarassment it brought. I would like to keep a more optimistic approach and say that the lack of info on it means SOB version 1.5 will be at least 50% better than the previous, and the lack of info to me (at least hoping) means something we're not expecting. Cory Butcher
Im just curious here... Will SoB version 1.5 have good Customer Support?
Vortex
It would be nice if the park gave out more information with SOB. Letting people know its getting work done might get some rides to come back after what happened last year. Also It would be nice to know what type of trains will be used and put all the rumors to a rest.
Skywriter
Im just curious here... Will SoB version 1.5 have good Customer Support? lol. I just hope the fit the car to the right gauge or next there will be cars and people flying all around the park. . I cannot wait till it reopens i was next in line the day of the accident I saw the whole thing happen and was the last one of the uninjured to leave the sation I still wanted to ride it I was hoping it would reopen later. I know I stupid.
Hendrick
So, you were on the lift hill, or still in the station?
Tuskin
True, but then you should think about rumors in the point of view that they do cause a lot of interest and people want to know whats going on. Its a good way to get people excitied about things again! Specifically the sob that did not do so well
Guest TombraiderTy
Maybe they're keeping it hush hush and planning on adding a zero-g roll before the giant helixes!!! I know, I need to drop it, but a zero- g roll would fit there and it would still make the ride the only wooden roller coaster with an inversion. hauntguy
Also, why haven't we seen anymore fly overs? The weather is great... clear, sunny days! Why not? Maybe KI has a "bigger hold" on some members than we think? If it were me... and could fly a plane/helicopter... I would be flying over KI atleast once a week! That's just me though! -Hauntguy

tubaman
Im just curious here... Will SoB version 1.5 have good Customer Support? No same custom supporter, but the friction will be improved. (of course, I assume that you were making a NL reference. At least that's what I got out of it.)
AZ Kinda Guy
The SOB area is a "no-go" area Could have fooled me.
The Interpreter
The SOB area is a "no-go" area Could have fooled me. Ha. Judging from its lines, it has been a No-Go area for many park guests since right after the first (and only) time many rode it.
flightoffear1996
The park even went to covering up the pay for zoom lenses on top of the Effiel Tower.
Gordon Bombay
^Incorrect, Adam has apicture of the one zoom lense thing covered up, however the second one was not and eventually both could be used, one was just getting fixed. I was with Klockster when he took that picture.
flightoffear1996
Oh I thought it just conveniently broke.
Dalefan
Most dont even know what type of trains SOB would be using even if it was said on the news. They are just repairing it and took out the loop. No need to get carried away lol. Its lost its hype though the years and even with it better it will be hard for some riders to come back to it. Its just a bigger verson of The Beast since the loop is gone. With the hype Firehawk is getting SOB may seem just another coaster to some. Only reason they wont let people Near SOB is cause of the work being done. Its more then likely a insurance risk to let the unallowed over to it with the tools and cranes and stuff. I am sure OSHA would love to see people over by it who shouldnt be.
clbehymer
I am a huge beast fan and I really liked the SOB, but I didn't like the way that I felt after I got off of it. I have went to the park many times each year and I don't think that I have ridden SOB more than 5 times. Kind of like FoF when it had the OTSR. Coasterfan
I would still take SoB with FoF's old OTSRs over a ride on Mean Streak any day!
TOPGUN1993
Mean Streak is way better than Beast. It's real smooth in front seat.
Delirium13
If only one part of the train is smooth how long do the lines get for the front?
TOPGUN1993
I waited about 4 trains , on the last day of 2007 operation.
PKIVortex
I waited about 4 trains , on the last day of 2007 operation. Wow so if you ride Mean Streak on the last day of the season in 2007 in the front seat, you'll have a smooth ride. Thanks for using your Time Machine again TG. clbehymer
I would still take SoB with FoF's old OTSRs over a ride on Mean Streak any day! I totally agree! I have only ridden Mean Streak twice in all of the times that I have been to Cedar Point.
