KIBeast Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Top 10 Amusement Parks How is it that MSN has dissed PKI like this? Surely, PKI should be in place of Carowinds. And, Disney World not even mentioned? Oh, I see. It was done by citysearch editors. Probably not accurate at all. Quote
Dane Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I would say so. What admusement park has won Best Childrens Play area for the past 3 years? Quote
King Bowser Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Heck ya! or people that know nothing about good parks. Quote
pkidude03 Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 At the bottom it said, "Our editors select these lists based on editorial content and user input." So it's not accurate.. I'm sure that list will change in the future. Folks at carowindsconnection.com forums were happy about that list.. lol! Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 The only respectable ones on there are Cedar Point, Carowinds, and Kennywood. Quote
Xx2cansamxX Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Carowinds isn't respectable. I guess you've never been there. Magic Kingdom belongs on the list as well. Quote
pkidude03 Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I went to Carowinds on the 9th & 10th of June and they have good rides and a good layout. The only bad things are that its only 100 or so acres and the staff is really rude! Oh! and they only stay open till 8pm. You can't hardly do any night riding there, which sux. I've been going to Carowinds since 1996 & I only live 3-4hrs away from it. I don't know if that list is updated or not. Quote
KIBeast Posted July 15, 2004 Author Posted July 15, 2004 Someone pointed out to me that MSN basically released the same one last year with just a few changes. Quote
Xx2cansamxX Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Yeah. They just throw a few parks on the list. One from each company. One Cedar Fair, One Paramount, One Six Flags, One Disney. Its a bunch of BS. Quote
Browntggrr Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I *heard* that this list was made up 3 years ago. It is a good possibilty MSN needed some "summertime vacation" information and dug it up. And on top of that, even putting AstroLand on the list is a slap for at least 30 different parks. It even mentions "Hurler" at Carowinds, and "Serial Thriller" at SF in Texas. Even a bigger joke! A poll like this should just be laughed at and considered humorous. Quote
