And not all SUVs are gas guzzling, global warming contributors, see? It is easy being green.

If our cities and communities were built so that we wouldn't have to drive to do EVERYTHING, there would be less demand for gas, and possibly lower prices. This means being able to walk, ride a bike, or take transit to do things in the metro area, community, or your neighborhood. There was a plan in 2002 to build a light rail system in Greater Cincinnati, that would eventually include service to Kings Island... I guess gas prices weren't high enough to pass that plan.

It is just like smoking cigarettes. People would say when smokes got up to $2.00 dollars a pack they would quit, that never happens(usually).

Never! I've been once this year and plus I'm returning 3 more times for sure this season. It's about a 613 mile roundtrip for me which I believe is worth it.

Gas prices are crazy but it's something we need so why try and fight it? After that first ride on The Beast when you get in, you'll forget all about those gas prices!

For those that have enough money to cover their needs plus some luxury, true enough.

There are those who have to make choices with a limited income. Many of those will end up making fewer trips...or saving for one big one to Disneyworld or to visit relatives, instead of the relatively local trip to a Cedar Fair park.

As many analysts have noted, Mr. Kinzel at first thought high gas prices would help the Cedar Fair parks--people would go to their local park INSTEAD of a trip to, say, Disney. Last summer, his viewpoint seemed to change.

I think I will go less but it's not because of gas price. It will be because the Maxx Pass will be going to other parks.

It may stop others from going to the park, and if it don't, when they see the higher prices inside the park, they won't be happy.

Obviously gas prices didn't affect anyone today. I made the trip from Indy and got to ride backwards racer, FoF, The Beast, and Vortex all once and nothing else. It was the busiest I have ever seen it today. I'm sure there have been busier days, but I will be very reluctant to go to Kings Island on a Saturday ever again. I juat hope that next time, I will be able to ride more...especialy with gas prices so high......to keep it on topic.

First of all global warming is a joke .. its really not happening .. the earth is cooler now than it was 20 years ago, with all the regulations that they have now and days its kept the earth a lot cooler than its ever been. Hot spots happen, when one thing happens the world goes nutz and everything must change. Also the earth is due for an ice age, no not in our life time and not in our grandsons or daughters but its suppose to be happening soon. So thats my 2 cents on global warming but back to the original topic

I only live about 15 - 20 minutes from the park so gas prices dont really effect me going or not, and yes I drive a 18 miles to the gallon gas guzzler jeep wrangler

Gas prices don't effect my trips to KI... I live 10 minutes away! Gas-wise it's cheaper for me to go to KI than it is the zoo, Newport on the Levee, Museum Center, etc. Which is fine with me, there's more variety of things to do at KI than any of those other places!

I always wondered how the world would live through an ice age. I have no doubt that the human race would survive... but what would the world be like afterward? Would it just thaw out and return to how it was? Seems like there would be a lot of rebuilding to do, and all of today's knowledge would have to be passed down through it. Just a crazy concept.

Gas prices do suck but I wont let it get in the way of my time at Kings Island. I would just make sacrifices in other things that I spend money on I guess. Like eating lol lol , just kidding.

Global warming is happening. My sister lives in alaska-the glaciers are slushy. The polar bears are in trouble because the ice sheets are not as big as they used to be, and that affects their ability to hunt and survive. When I lived in Virginia sandbridge beach in virginia beach area was receding to the point the houses are partially sitting in the ocean. Look around other parts of the world-how can we deny climate change is not happening?

The thing is, even if you live a close distance to KI, gas prices still affect your trip.

Only because everything is more expensive due to higher gas prices. Food, building supplies, metal, and actually any type of commodity is affected by gas prices.

So even though the high gas price may not affect your actual gas tank, it is affected in other ways. Perhaps you decide not to get that one extra Coney Dog, or bottle of Aquafina, so that there is extra change in your pocket, it is still affected by gas prices.

Or in my case, I plan longer trips where my family will do many things (as a result use more vacation time) instead of taking short trips (i.e.: Single trip to DollyWood, HolidayWorld, KI and CP and then back home. As well as Hershey, Dorney, KD and BGW in one trip.) When a few years ago we would just do a quick weekend to Hershey and back home.

Just because climate is changing doesn't mean that it's a result of greenhouse gases, and furthermore, it doesn't necessarily even mean that greenhouse gases are the result of humans.
