May 14, 200719 yr Sweet! I was hoping he would have one of those concerts around here. I would have thought that season pass holders would get more than just a $10 discount.
May 15, 200719 yr Author I, too am looking forward to this! Not only do I like listening to Sean, but also country music, and Montgomery Gentry is a great act! Apparently Mark Levin "GET OFF THE PHONE, YOU BIG DOPE" is supposed to be there too. And yes, the great cause, that allows children of fallen soldiers to get a college education! If you can't attend the concert, you can still donate to the Freedom Alliance. And if you happen to be in another part of the country, there will be four other Freedom Concerts this summer: Dallas, San Diego, Atlanta, and Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.
May 16, 200719 yr Great find & post!!!!! I do not do country however I would go see this. I think I will!!!! Will be like the glory days of timberwolf back in the 80's, you can have a beer while you watch the concert! I knew taking all those vitamins would make my past come back or is it back to haunt me?...LMAOOOOOOO
May 16, 200719 yr How funny. I love Country but have such a disdain for Sean Hannity that I can't see going to an event with his name attached.
May 16, 200719 yr How funny. I love Country but have such a disdain for Sean Hannity that I can't see going to an event with his name attached. I'm so glad you said that
May 16, 200719 yr Yeah, I was debating if I was going to say anything at all regarding the topic. But, I really could not stay silent about it. I tend to think the forum should not be political in nature, but that radio jock just is sooooo incredibly divicive.
May 16, 200719 yr Well, that and buying a bunch of stuff from his advertisers, who make all this possible!
May 16, 200719 yr How funny. I love Country but have such a disdain for Sean Hannity that I can't see going to an event with his name attached. How funny. I like Sean Hannity but have such a disdain for country music that I can't see me going to this event. Just teasing you woofer. Even if you dont like hannity, you may like the music and it goes to a good cause people of all political walks of life can support.
May 17, 200719 yr Author Obviously, I never intended this to be a political thread, and so far it pretty much isn't. You could say that Sean Hannity is controversial, just as Paramount (and related owners) were to Kings Island. I hope we can see several KIC'ers at this event, whether you like: Hannity, country music, or supporting the troops (and families)... one or two of them, or all three! Ronny: Come on and admit it - you love Brad Paisley! (j/k)

May 17, 200719 yr yeah, I Agree with combatstupendous...personally I love all three aspects of the concert. But we all should go if we have the extra 60 dollars around and like Country music, and would like to support the troops' children. That is what this is about, touching lives and taking in a concert. Since when did politics have a greater moral grasp on us than our faith or our philosophy? If you like country and want to support the troops you should attend, regardless of political convictions. I just don't understand why we must allow politics and hatred or disdain to keep us from achieving greater goals. If some of you dont remember racism kept us from goals in the past. And yes I will say it, it seems that politics has become the new racism, IMO. Hope to see you guys there, I love MG and will more than likely be there! P.S. if Combs, Clinton, Obama, Peloski promoted the concert like Hannity is I WOULD go see it as it is a great cause. See you there guys!
May 22, 200719 yr Is Sean Hannity going to sing and/or play any instruments? If he has any musical talent, he can augment his ratings among younger viewers.
May 22, 200719 yr Viewers? Do you realize Sean is perhaps better known for his radio show? What about his younger LISTENERS? --The Interpreter, who wonders
May 22, 200719 yr P.S. if Combs, Clinton, Obama, Peloski promoted the concert like Hannity is I WOULD go see it as it is a great cause. See you there guys! Wouldn't a more appropriate foil to Hannity be Al Franken, Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, or one of the other liberal talk show hosts? After all, Sean Hannity is not an elected official or any where near third in line to the Presidency. Yes, politics have become amazingly devisive over the last several years. Unfortunately, extremist talk radio (on both the left and the right) does everything they can to keep those fires stoked in the interest of ratings. I often wonder if people even believe some of the outrageous things they say on those shows. (For example, I have a hard time believing that Ann Coulter could really be filled with that much hate...most of it has to be for ratings and to sell books. ) The Anne Frank quote keeps coming back to me, and I like to think it to be true..."despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart"

Here, Here.... I think I owe you a beer when I'm up.
May 22, 200719 yr I think you owe me one too when you come up, since you never came last year Lord, now ya sound like my mother! <G>
May 22, 200719 yr Heck, some people even go down to his part of the country and don't see him...and he doesn't even owe them a beer...(cough!)
May 23, 200719 yr Heck, some people even go down to his part of the country and don't see him...and he doesn't even owe them a beer...(cough!) Yup, that would be an open invite to the board regulars. Hit SFOG and show ya all Atlanta Has to Offer.

Rather insulting to put Ghandi in the same sentence with the likes of Ann Coulter. I'd say that her/his 10 minutes of fame is just about over.
June 10, 200719 yr Not to mention that these days much of what passes for country IS rock and much of what passes for rock is Southern Rock aka country.
June 10, 200719 yr I'll have to agree. I think that country now with the dash of rock mixed in with it is kind of inferior to country of the past like Hank Williams or Johnny Cash.
