BoddaH1994 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 With Cedar Fair purchasing Paramount Parks, it is possible that CP may want to build at KI to make it look more like CP. If KI were to get a big signature steel coaster, who would you want to manufacture it? Quote
Coasterfan Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Intamin! I absolutly love TTD and MF! I know a TTD type ride isn't a good investment at this point in time, but MF seems to be very reliable and incredibly smooth and just a wonderful ride experience over all. The T-bar is awsome to. Quote
Browntggrr Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 ^Intamin? T-Bar? Please tell me you forgot the . Quote
Skywriter Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 I would like to see a huge B&M Floorless. It would be awesome. Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 I think we need a steel coaster over 200 feet tall. I would like a B&M Hyper coaster. Then we could have a wooden and a steel coaster over 200 feet. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 Didn't B&M make a height limit on their rides? It's either 199.9 feet or 299.9 feet. Quote
felix Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Even before CP bought KI, I always stuck with the idea that all KI needed to be perfect to me would be for them to build a ride like Millenium Force but tuck it back behind The Racer so your flying back in the woods!. Other than that my second choice would have to a B&M Floorless. Quote
Cory Butcher Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 B&M- Better and Marvelous Not to mention, I have heard nothing but praise for B&M's integration of technology and ease of operation. As well as their customer support. B&M seems to have K*I*S*S down to a science! Quote
Ki Man Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 A crazy Intamin that has insane airtime, but can take advantage of KI's woods behind Racer and can go low to the ground....Or a B&M hyper would do. Quote
upstop Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 How about a B & M hyper twister in Rivertown through the valley behind Tomb raider and around White Water Canyon. or a s&s power tower at X-base Quote

corn4ahead Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I love intamin and b&m the same. However i am tired with the delayes and how unreliable intamin is. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Yea I heard somewhere that is B&M would never go over 300 feet. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 The only problem I have with B&M is that it seems as though a lot of their coasters are very compact. Local examples are of course Chang, Dominator, and Raptor. If we were to get a "signature" steel coaster, wouldn't you want something that's more of an out and back design? Personally, I'd want something that looked a lot more like Magnum than Raptor. Quote
Coasterfan Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 ^Intamin? T-Bar? Please tell me you forgot the . Yep, I love Intamin coasters and their hydraulic lap bars. And no, I didn't forget. There's a in there. Quote

Out and back? Yep. Fun? Yep. Unlike anything in any Cedar Fair park so far? Yep. Likely? The shadow knows. Quote

Some of B&M coasters may seem compact, but chances are the parks only gave them that much room to work with. I personally love the way Raptor sits in the park. It is a great spectator coaster. And the views from the SkyRide are excellent. Quote
fcbaseball Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I would really like to see an Intamin like Millenium Force that uses the terrain back behind Firehawk and FOF. I think that the ride could use a tall lift but unlike Millenium there would be more low to the ground maneuvers along with the airtime hills. IMO The Beast is most popular because of its natural setting and its using the layout of the land. (The fact that it is the longest wooden coaster in the world also helps ) I believe that if they could recreate this style of coaster it would be a great ride and would be that signature ride that is so important in today's amusement park . DropZone99 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I think Kings Island needs a B&M standup. One that would make it the tallest standup roller coaster in the world! Or with most inversions, or fastest. =] -Well really just a B&M standup! Quote
CoastersRZ Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 A stand up coaster? That is one ride that was really a fad that has long since passed. I don`t even find Mantis at Cedar Point to be an enjoyable ride. Too much force causes my legs to hurt on that ride. I would much rather have ridden King Cobra than Mantis any day. I HIGHLY doubt we see any stand up coasters built. At KI or any other park for that matter. Quote
trint2004 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I think a duelling hyper coaster would be great. Have it in the woods behind Firehawk. They could make it move and twist around each other in and out of trees and in and out of tonnels. Doesn't have to be the biggest or the fastest just make it fun and a ride the people wont be like did it once, not again. Quote

italianchef Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I voted for Vekoma, but not for any specific reason. I just like the name. Quote
PKIVortex Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Vekoma how could ya LOL. We already have too many Vekoma's in our Park. 3 now with Firehawk. LOL Quote
