The trims on The Beast are there to make maintenance affordable and to give guests a comfortable yet thrilling ride. The magnetic brakes may seem more abrupt, but the ride experience is about as (or even more thrilling than) it was 8 times out of 10 in the old skid brakes days. Yes, the days of brakeless or near brakeless rides are gone (those usually occurred on rainy days, if then), but the ride is a far safer ride now. You may as well pray to be showered with thousands of dollars of paper money on the lifthill...as that event is just about as likely as the trim brakes being removed from Beast.
