  1. I thought it was a tortilla factory. Was when I was there a few years back...

  2. I loved it, but as a tall person, it was a painful experience. Basically, you "stood" as you sat on a bicycle seat. It would "ride up" so to speak. Then they harness went over your shoulders, forcing you down. Yes, onto the seat even tighter. There's a joke to be made about all this, and my friends and I make it all the time...but this is a nice, courtesy, familial place, and I shan't make it here.

  3. One of the best things about it, too, was that you had no idea what was coming up when in line for it. The first time I rode it, I had no idea what kind of ride it was.

  4. Park Services is an underappreciated department. The sweeps are, in my opinion, among the most important staff in ensuring a good experience at the park, as there's nothing as bad as walking around in a dirty place IMO. And I am thankful for them that real life isn't like RollerCoaster Tycoon, where every other guest pukes after getting off the kiddie rides. I don't usually have sympathy for fictional characters, but man those RCT handymen have it rough.

  5. Earl of Sandwiches!!!!!! Hands down my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World resort.

  6. The new show in the KI Theater will be Ed Alonzo's Psycho Circus of Mayhem. Ed Alonzo played "Max" on the TV show Saved by the Bell and has won a plethora of prestigious magician awards.

  7. The mere thought that a FaceBook page could have even the slightest impact on the fate of the ride is laughable in the extreme. May as well write down one's desires on a small piece of toilet tissue and place it in an open gutter during a violent hail storm. And yes, someone knows.

  8. There's a slide in that pic? I can't get past the bottom right.

  10. THE_BEASTmaster, I am deeply sorry for my inaccessible link. I have corrected the issue, but to save you from scrolling back up, here is the link again. http://www.ksee24.co...-140604273.html As you have 160 more posts than I do, your words of "better luck next time" really inspire me to reach for the stars, as it were (although, I'd be unable to if I had ridden the roller coaster in question!), and I look forward to the day, with much anticipation, that I may have two dots under my Avatar as well. I just realized, once I post this, you'll only be up on me by 159! Look out!

  11. You really had to create a new username and profile to post this and announce it to the group? Somehow I'm assuming that the park already knows that you are an unhappy former employee (I'm sure you are not the first and won't be the last either) and would not write postive things about your employment experience. But even if they knew you and your real screen name, I'm doubting they were going to go out of there way to read this and then find a way to make life difficult for you - even if you'd written it under that name. You talk about Etiquette - maybe the better etiquette in this situation would have been to say nothing.

  12. It appears that this photo was taken at the exact second when she received her pink slip informing her that she would no longer be working at Phantom Theater and was being reassigned to some kind of outdoor job.

  13. To every person that has never worked for Kings Island, refrain from posting or replying to messages that will impact your employment with the park. For instance, do not say something like, "I heard this ride is being torn down or we are getting this new ride", if it has not been released by Kings Island's PR department. Do not give details or say anything that has been conveyed to you by your supervisors as it pertains to the Park's policies. We are monitored and people have lost their jobs for things they have posted. It is all detailed in your handbook and your employment paperwork that you are required to sign. The best way to handle this is to direct the people to call Kings Island guest services.

  15. I love this topic! Gives me something to look at during school when we aren't doing anything. Good stuff.

  16. I like the '74 picture better. I've always liked the red, white & blue paint job better than the all white. Plus, I like how you could get so close back then. Oh well, people are idiots and changes had to be made. Nothing we can do about that I suppose... I haven't said it in a while, but I'll say it again... Thanks for all the pics! Last week I was catching up on a lot of stuff at work so I was barely on here, but I appreciated all the updates!

  17. Noticed these a few days ago on a recent visit. May not be for anything noteworthy, but there looked to be a few more survey markers back in the trees.
