  1. With the basketball games they are double rimmed, which in essence, hit the rim it will miss 9-10 times, other games its just pure chance, goblet toss for example. they games arnt "rigged" persay, but they dont go out of there way to make it easy. There are nation wide commities these days that will go to parks around the nation sometimes with out prior warning to check games to see if they are rigged. if found rigged by these commities parks can face a fine -rctfreak-
  2. It usually depends on the day/weather. Saturdays, expect the park to be rather full. Nice weather the park will be rather full, raining and or rain threat will lessen crowds dramitacally. June-August are usually the busiest months because your in vacation season. -rctfreak-
  3. Well considering that in my top 10 coasters, of 135, Beast is 2, behind millennium force.....Vortex is not in the top 50 -rctfreak-
  4. I would be exceot that i will be out at blue ash on the 4th, and a warning to ever is going to KI on the4th, the crowds will be nuts, and trying to get out after the fireworks....well its just not happening quick, so dont be in a hurry to get home. -rctfreak-
  5. I wouldnt think they would have a reason for tearing it down....but i B&M invert would fit real nice there...... -rctfreak-
  6. The Flyers. the line usually is no more then 15 mintues, and if you know how to snap the cables its great fun. and when on the flyers topic, anyone know why the ride duration has shortened dramatically? -rctfreak-
  7. I would have been there but i was at Coaster Con all of this past week and TimbersFest the friday prior to the start of Coaster Con, I would have loved to be there, but oh well... one only has so much money
  8. I still think what KI needs to do is concentrate on there rides and attractions and get the waterpark later, but oh well...at least its all at one price -rctfreak-
  9. its real sad when something thats suspose to be fun and enjoyable like going to a amusement park turns into something like this. -rctfreak-
  10. The only thing that i have noticed them doing was that i have forgot it being there and tried to stand up before taking the seatbelt off, wasnt good. and that it slows down the loading process, i dont feel any more secure because of it. yet i am 5'7'' 130lbs so that might make a difference -rctfreak-
  11. you mean they dont put heat blankets over the track in the winter?! what my point was that is hasent been "taken care" of, hence rust and the such,
  12. UPDATE: here is my plan for tomarrow, i, along with a friend will arive at the park 9:50ish in which to get to The Vortex right at the rope drop, i will most likely be wearing my bright yellow American Coaster Enthusists shirt, (hard to miss a guy in yellow). our ridding plan is back seat for the smoothest ride, and saving as much pain as possiable. we are plaing on riding from 10-5 for sure then after that its rather up in the air, only stoping in that 10-5 time for luch and a bathroom stop when needed. we are thinking we can get anywhere from 5-7 rides a hour and our shooting for a grand total in the 40ish range for the day. if anyone wants to come out and take a ride or two with us thats 100% cool. -rctfreak-
  13. The track sitting out by SOB, which is correct, you can see it from the mid course brakes if you look right, have been sitting out there since the ride has been dismantled, so relise its been going through the 90+ summers plus close to 0 winters, the track is probally no better then scrap now, with the trains being inside of the FoF drum, which is the last place i know them being, they have a shot of being operatable in the future. The thing that KI really needed to do was to make sure 100% that is was sold before they tore it down, or atleast notify the general pulic prior to its last season. personally i would like to see KI re construct it, but thats just wishful thinking right now -rctfreak-
  14. Finally, seem about time now. red will be a interesting color for the sign, anyone know if that is going to be the final color or if its going to be painted/ concreated like the former sign? -rctfreak-
  15. The Beast no contest here, Son of Beast the seats for one are so gosh darn uncomfertable, about sitting with your knees up your nose, and before they added the padding i would have red marks and or bruises from smashing my thighs/knees against the metal. -rctfreak-

    KI VS PKI

I remember little of pre-paramount, just HB, but family parks can most defently hold there own out there, and are great parks, i mean look at Holiday World, two world class woodies, or Michigan's Adventure before Cedar Fair bought it out, Shivering Timbers, one of the best out-and-backs i have ever been on. No matter how much park chains try they cant and never will match the friendly family atmosphere of family owned parks -rctfreak-
  17. Anyone know? on Wednesday June 9th my friend and i are going to ride as close to all day as we can 10-10, minus a lunch stop and our youth groups bible study, which will tak out 5:30-7:30. so it would be cool to know if we would break a record in the process, and feel free to stop by for a ride or to. -rctfreak-
  18. Does anyone know the record for rides of Vortex in a day, 10am-10pm is? -rctfreak-
  19. I rode SOB the first day it opened, the only part that was considerably rough was the turn after the lift drop going into the first helix. since then its gotten considerably rougher, not only in that turn but everywhere. before they had that padding on the lapbars i have had bruises before from SOB. What they need to do is find out what they had for day 1 and things will be just great.

    PKI vs. CP

I have ridden the "420 foot statue" as you put it, and i will take it over anything KI has to offer, here would be something else, what does KI have to match Millennium Force? Mantis? Raptor? Wicked Twister? I have season passes to both parks -rctfreak-
  21. Plus KI has so much undeveloped land it just baffles me that they are taking out rides for new ones, if you have the land.....USE IT! -rctfreak-
  22. With the seatbelts if there is not a sensor to tell if a seatbelt has came undone the only way is if a ride op sees it on one of the cameras places on the lift, other then that a undone seatbelt wont close the blocks. What they need are the magnetic seatbelts that are magnetically locked into place during the ride, a la 7th Portal. With the seatbelts, its always a saftey comfert, fore example on Face/0ff, it always crooses my mind, if this restraint fails without the seatbelt i am meating the asphult really quick. -rctfreak-
  23. In CP's boneyard is things that were at one time in the park and have since then been kept in the so called "boneyard" you can see the old chairlifts they use to have, old picnic tables, boats off of Snake River Falls (there version of Congo Falls) and there rafts from there ride like White Water Canyon. Theres also random parts i am guessing are just parts that once were on different rides through out the park at one time or another, you can see it very clearly if you ride their train. -rctfreak-
  24. I would say no, but i have my reasons here, and I love chipotle, but think about this here, thinking they would sell the same sized burritos, i dont know about you but they take me a good while to get down, and wouldnt suggest ridding something after that, and also one knows what happens if a burrito goes throughs one system and its during a long line.....i'll leave it at that -rctfreak-
  25. Its interesting that KI hasnt officaly torn down those things, just shows that parks keep alot of things from years past, (see Cedar Point boneyard) -rctfreak
