  1. Plus, if you notice, Cedar Point imports their workers from all over the country, just look at their nametags. Other than the international workers that Kings Island employs. Kings Island gets pretty much all of their workers from cincinnati/cincinnati suburbs, northern kentucky and dayton/dayton suburbs. All who live within driving distance. This has always worked for the park so there is no reason why they should change now.
  2. I think thats because they are registered names to paramount in general whether they are movies or rides.
  3. Well according to all the ki sites its a word
  4. They're pulling a Kennywood, and making, "The Revenge of The Bat"
  5. Is this supposed to be a gremlin?
  6. Wow, that was close, I'm glad I saved it when I did.
  7. Yea but in the sense that Cedar Fair is using it, it is a lone bull that runs away from the herd or something. I highly doubt Cedar Fair would make top gun, "maverick", in terms of the movie when they're wanting to de-paramountize the park.
  8. Absolutely not, that ride rides nothing like the beloved King Cobra. Shockwave will beat the crap out of you. Not to mention the layout is slightly different(Right turn instead of left:no tricktrack). Also I dont know how they did it, but somehow PKD took all the airtime that you would get on KC out of Shockwave. If you need a KC fix, you need to go to PCW and ride Skyrider. Amazing, never have I felt such nostalgia. Everything was there, the airtime, the tricktrack, and the smoothness. The only thing missing was the Eiffel Tower on your left as you go through the loop.
  9. Prolly high bandwith cause everyone wants to hear it, lol.
  10. I made a complete 3D rendering of Tomb Raider for a project of mine in school, moves and everything. http://media.putfile.com/Giant-TopSpin-By-Nick (requires Quicktime, recomend change size to 800)
  11. Too bad you cant save it on your computer--or can you... sneaky sneaky
  12. The Centurian and the shakespere guy are both missing. Its because they were both part of the video playback wasnt it jeff. I dont have them either. and
  13. I think this shuttle loop has the coolest supports
  14. What ever, to me they are second lifts when they are there. I have ridden The Racer when they were used and when without them we would not have made it to the station. Also I might add that last weekend the chains were inside the rollbacks. As for the Screamin demon, the ride was originally brown at the two breaking areas and the loop went from yellow to red to yellow. When the name was changed to "Demon" the ride as painted solid brown. The collor of the trains never changed. Screamin Demon^ Demon^ Then when the ride moved to Camden park as Thunderbolt Express it looked like: And ever since 1999 it has been rotting in place.
  15. Actually Michigans adventure put Shivering timbers in before Cedar Fair bought the park. Mamba was put in in 1998 and Cedar Fair didnt buy the park untill spring of 2004 which means the park had already decided to put in spinning dragons before Cedar Fair bought them, since the ride opened in spring of 2004. Steel Venom was called Superman Ultimate excape and was put in back when the park was Six Flags Ohio(before six flags worlds of adventure).
  16. Actually, each racer has a second lift on the second big hill that seems to run only in extremely cold weather and the beginning of the season. Look between the anti-rollbacks sometime and you may see the chain whether it is moving or not.
  17. The technical term is "mock seats." And i agree.
  18. The negativity here is out of control.
  19. I wouldn't mislead you, Adam. Sorry Ryan I didn't mean you. I meant Lion Sleeps Tonight. Hes all - were getting a tilt coaster! No were getting a dive machine! No were getting a jump 2 - heres a pic! (insert pic of topple tower). Like normally I'm not one to talk bad about PKIC members - but I have to say he doesnt have a clue what hes talking about. Like if Lion Sleeps Tonight said we were getting a HUSS ride - and KI took delivery of crates with the HUSS logo stamped on them - I STILL wouldn't believe it. What if a guy with a suit on sporting a hard hat that said "Huss" on it came up to you and said, "Sir, is this where we're installing the new ride? (pointing at the area behind The Beast) You know, the new ride for next year? Here, I have the contracts; do you know where I can get find Mr. Kinzel? I think he forgot to sign form 4B... " Then would you believe? I highly doubt that HUSS will be building any new rides for a while considering they just filed for bankruptcy. Though they will probably start a new company with all their old patents and designs, it will probably take some time.
  20. Every room has house lights, it was probably either an accident or someone was cleaning something.
  21. Jeff I know you're making those audios by yourself. Taking the backstage and prop room music and blending it with in ride sound affects. Personally I always considered trying to make the entire ride, effect by effect on top of the music. I've just never had the time, that and I cannot figure out how to splice the stereo in audacity. I do commend you on your efforts.
  22. Rides open late all the time, this is no different.
  23. Wow, a bit pesemistic aren't we.
