I still say getting rid of the basketballs would go a long way to fixing this problem.
-
Well, that too.

Uh, trying to stay within the TOS. Some former FBI guy is giving testimony on Capitol Hill at 10AM. Every network is carrying it and preempting regular programming. There are even apparently a bunch of bars opening for viewing parties.

Ouch. What's your prediction on Platinum. $260? Even more? Back on topic, it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow at the park with the media predicting a large TV viewing audience in the morning.

So how are the polar bears making the long trek to the park supposed to know they can't play?
-
How was this announced? Don't see anything on the website, nothing on Don's or KI Aquatic's Twitter.

57F and breezy. There must not be enough polar bears with the day off. -

There are also those big air pillows police use for jumpers or people in fires you see in movies like Leathal Weapon. Actually those would make for a great up charge attraction. -
Use of Kings Island all season cups at Cedar Point

^ I have no doubt they do, but nobody is making the souvenir cup holders clean their cups. Regarding the drink refil lines at Island Smokehouse, has anyone tried the paper cup option with those lines? The signs I saw Sunday were pretty specific to souvenir cup and the only time I went in there was for food so I didn't get a chance to test it. Should have asked. -
^ They really should, it would go a long way to rounding out the choices. At a minimum a "Smokehouse Express" (KI likes that word) fed from SC. Pork Butt is one of the few meats that keep very well sealed in a Cambro and is actually juicier 2 hours after it is finished cooking.

Use of Kings Island all season cups at Cedar Point

That's funny because earlier this season the attendant at the Coke refresh stand by Diamondback made me throw away my paper cup and get a new one due to "cross contamination". Had I been in a more feisty mood I would have asked her what she asked souvenir cups holders to do. -

^ Last year my "Home Park" was KI but I renewed my passes on the CP site this year. Interestingly I have had similar issues with the drink plan at KI but not at CP. our combined issues indicate there is some issue using the plan at a non-home park. I as well I have never been denied a cup, just employees getting confused and stating something was wrong. Also of note is when there is an issue at a register it is not with just my pass but my two boy's passes as well. -
How late are you allowed to enter the park?
King Ding Dong replied to Alfomar's topic in Kings Island
Flight of Fear and Firehawk tend to have some of the longest lines after MT, so if those are on your plans you may want to try to get to those after you have had your fill with MT. Unfortunately they are on the other side of the park. Others have more experience than I with getting there early but I would suggest getting to the parking lot toll booths no later than 9 so you have time to get through security/turnstiles and be ready for rope drop at 9:30. Hopefully with most schools out things will improve this week but food service has had some of the longest/slowest lines so far so plan accordingly. -

It is? I thought summer didn't start until June 21st this year. When did that change? -
Soak City does not appear to be short staffed in food service at all. Today all drink stands open and well staffed. Food stands all open and moving efficiently with reasonable wait times.

Lol. So there is this Chinese restaurant in St. Louis called The House of Wong. They answer the phone "You have reached the Wong number." Who says the Chinese don't have a sense of humor. Anywho, I have never eaten at those places you mention and prefer the wings I make at home to any I have ever had at a restaurant. We have the all season dinning plan so averaged out this meal costs us $3-$4. I personally would not spend $13 on 3 wings and a pile of generic food service fries and would rather eat out of my car or leave the park for meal if that was my only other choice. However the calculus changes if you are not a passholder and only visiting the park once or twice a season and your time there is valuable.

They do not have ribs. Today they had brisket out but it was not on the menu so no pricing displayed. I had a sample it is seemed decent. The smoked wings I tried today were good with a mid level hickory smoke flavor, I had them plain so I can't speak to the sauce but it appears to be Sweet Baby Rays. They appear to be finished off in a fryer so they are crispy without a breading. There are not 6 pieces to equal 3 wings and a super duper size scoop of fries to help fill you up with cheap carbs from lack of protein. Certainly among the better tasting food I have had in the park.

Is Soak City impacted at all? Thinking about taking the boys for a bit Sunday.

CoasterMania & HoliWood Nights 2017

I should actually look into buying it by the gallon. With 3 redheads in the house we go through a lot. -
Unfortunately it's not this simple. SFSTL had a similar problem a couple of years ago. Especially a problem for the waterpark because it took a couple of hours to get it all running again.

What? Like all of it? Roped off?

Respawn would be a bit more accurate. Tigers don't change their stripes.

They were doing that on Magnum a few weeks ago and there was actually a 15 minute wait.

Are they opening at 5PM or closed the entire day?
