Having smoked about 30-40 briskits over the years, and very few to my satisfaction, it is really hard to get right. Cooking to a specific temp doesn't work as every cow is different and to low it is tough and to high it gets dry. My ribs and pork butt I feel are far superior to anything I have had at a restaurant, can't say the same for my brisket although it is still "descent" most of the time. There is some real skill involved, something KI food service is not likely to have on hand especially the skill to handle multiples and get them right. It would be awesome if they indeed build a Smokehouse on the dry park side if they give a go at spare ribs. However given their cost I wouldn't expect them on the meal plan and probably looking at $19 or so per plate. Not a fan of the "fries" they are serving, just not my style.

They are already addressing some of that this seasons as you cannot park in the CPS lot until 9:30 as and CPS ERT starts at 10:30. (Of course this won't stop @Malem as he will just sprint from the Marina gate and be front row, first train every time) Ryan and I just got back from CP and two front row rides on Maverick. This has the potential of edging out Maverick as my favorite coaster but has some pretty big shoes to fill. In addition the current restraints on Maverick are the most comfortable (for me) of ANY coaster I have ever been on steel or wood. (Even The Bat/Iron Dragon or Diamondback my second favorite.) They are going to have to rent some barges and park them in the bay to hold the que for this thing next season. Ryan is already asking me to get him a copy of Planet Coaster for his birthday. A little reluctant as I have bought RCT 1-3 for a few bucks on a Steam sale and he hasn't touched them. Great meeting Chris for the first time and seeing Pioanoman again!

All Season Fast Lane Available at Kings Island in 2018
King Ding Dong replied to VekomaRulz's topic in Kings Island
I don't know how it is implementated at other CF parks but one way to minimize transfers to others is if it is loaded on your gold/plat pass like the dinning/drink plan so it can't be used unless you have scanned into the park. Of course not a perfect solution but at least would require the holder to scan into the park. If a wireless device with a LCD screen that brings up your photo is used to scan your Pass then most abuse could be minimized. If my situation was different and I could generally only come on weekends (and for other reasons some of you are aware of) I would consider this but it certainly would limit any other entertainment options given the cost for a family of 3 or 4. We are already at about $1400 to outfit the family with Platinum passes, FunPix and 3 meal/drink plans. -
It might just be a perception thing but I find The Bat to be very intense, mostly due to all the positive Gs I suppose. It is one of the few that I really feel I need a sit down break after riding.

Yes, I need to. We were there for HitP last year but didn't ride the train if it was even operating. Probably been 15-20 years since I have been on it anyway. Couldn't make it in June due to my ankle and then St. Louis got to darn hot in July. These cool Ohio summers have spoiled me. -
Wow. Great the text isn't grey on black anymore!

Thanks for this. I grew up at this park from opening year when I was just a tot and to small for most rides and hod lots of aunts and uncles that took me every year. Forgot about it going through the maintenance shed back then. Don't think it does that now. -
I haven't looked on a mac or PC but IPad is showing no "like" or a heart. In fact posts are not even showing the names of users who liked them.

The problem with the current CF implementation I see is that it is very subjective and really depends on what the Station Guard decides what to do. In some cases the Guard allows everyone with a FL immediate station access no matter how many people and some actually throttle the FL line. There is no consistency.

^ Never been to MM but sounds like you bought the lowest level of Flash Pass. They run from Basic up to Platinum at SFSTL. Then of course there is the VIP Tour that CF parks have which is true front of the line access with the only requirement that you must ride another attraction before going back. MT>DB>MT>DB rinse repeat. I suspect the Gold VIP Tour will be popular at CP next year with Maverick>RMC Streak>Maverick>RMC Streak rinse repeat. Not abuse, those are the established rules. I can't marathon anything so it is not for me, but if I could sounds like a wise investment.

Precisely. I fail to grasp how marathoning Mystic Timbers all day with Fast Lane is any different that a 5 coaster marathon cycling between Diamondback, Mystic Timbers, The Beast, BLSC then back to Diamondback with Fast Lane. When you have 5 people doing this the effect is exactly the same except for those couple extra minutes travel time between coasters vs exit to entrance. We all know a few here who are famous for speed walking prowess so I posit the difference is negligible.
-
^ But how is that any different that 5 different people all going to different rides in series? The effect is the same, except the delta in travel time between different rides vs. same ride entrance/exits, which in some cases are very similar.

Oh and hopefully "Povel from Poland" is working MF. I wasn't going to ride as the belt was a good 5-8 inches short a couple of weeks ago for me, but he insisted I give it a try Tuesday night and by golly he put all his effort into it and got the thing to latch! Since it is just over the legs it wasn't uncomfortable at all. He went way above and beyond what I would expect for an op. And yes I did send a compliment through Guest Services,

Tagging off what Magenta said I don't think a Giga or any single coaster would draw me to KI over CP more often at least long term. Weather permitting we generally alternate between the two. RMC Streak may draw us to CP slightly more next season because it is new but probably just for the one season. In my book the lack of attention to food service and drink refill stations, especially early season, are what hurts KI more than perceived lack of thrills.

I have the WindSeeker Curse. Every time we walk up to the thing it is down or goes down. KI and CP doesn't matter. Last night we were about to board at CP and then they unloaded. Probably 10 attempts this season. Every. Time. We have probably had 12-15 rides on Dragster this season but can't get one on WindSeeker at either park.
