  1. Just consider yourself lucky you were spared and don't speak of it again.
  2. Defiantly? (my auto-correct does the same thing) So we will be seeing you at the Friday meet-up then?
  3. A recent post here claimed some KIC members could be reals jerks to park employees, you will have to let us know what your experience is.
  4. Here is some bar napkin math. Park gets 20,000 visitors on a typical Sunday? (just a guess). $40 average ticket price (SP holders clearly much less). So $800,000? If the company issues 20,000 $30 all day meal plan vouchers another $600,000. If the company has 20,000 employees + families + clients seems very doable even at double the cost. $200 or so per employee is not much in the scheme of things. A typical 1 day business training class is going to cost that much.
  5. From my reading of the FAQ, there is a $2.99 charge to switch plans. So I suppose you could, but is probably not what they intended. I would email the park from the website and ask. They normally are very fast in responding, sometimes within a couple of hours, but I had to wait a couple days just recently.
  6. I sent an email regarding to this issue to both CP and KI. KI responded last night. "Thank you for contacting Kings Island. If you purchase a Bring-A-Friend ticket, the person using it will be able to participate in Early Ride Time as long as they are accompanied by the valid 2017 gold/platinum season passholder." So that settles that for KI. As others have pointed out each park possibly has their own policy, so just don't assume this it the same at all CF parks. Best to call or better yet fire off a quick email a few days before you plan attending, if they don't state their policy on the website. Will update when CP responds.
  7. We were selling Scout Camp Cards in front of Walmart in STL a few years ago and these geese decided to make their nest in the planter. They would get all bossy with cars driving by holding up traffic. I don't understand how these creatures survived the evolutionary process. The SUV is going to survive every time.
  8. Screaming Eagle at SFSTL has always squealed really loudly especially on turns. Doesn't bother me much now but really did as kid.
  9. At a sailing club in Illinois I used to belong to they would string some fishing line bout 6-8 feet in the air along the the length of the docks and that seemed to keep the gulls and other flying critters off of them and the boats. Not sure exactly how it works but probably something similar.
  10. ^ Good to hear that. I bought the meal plan for myself anyway last week as I should be able to use it to some degree. May still need to supplement by bringing some food as it may still be hard to hit my protein/fat requirements. As I have said it is not about the money, except I don't want to have to buy two $10 entrees and throw 3/4 of it away just for a meal. Been very strict the past few weeks with measuring portions and tracking EVERYTHING in MyFitnessPal. The barcode scanner function makes it much easier now. Starting to see the scale moving again and hopefully my blood work keeps improving.
  11. I have never really noticed a dearth of people in any section of the park.
  12. Assuming you mean the season pass meal deal and not the one time all day meal plan. Ticket window would be best for purchasing, not even sure if you can buy it at a food stand. Yes it is good for Halloween as well. Welcome to KIC!
  13. That is an excellent point. Also it helps alleviate some of the rush at the gate resulting in a better experience for the guests arriving closer to opening. Never been to the dry park morning ert, we always start at SC. Is all of I Street open?
  14. That's not cool. I would imagine that would create a problem of hoards of teenagers hanging around waiting for parents to pick them up.
  15. My rule on any water park is 80F with no wind and 85‘F with gusts over 10mph. It's just not pleasant for me any lower than that. I am sure your's are more in line with the park's.
  16. That's awesome. Fireworks like that are not cheap. KI probably could have comped Platinum passes and a fistful of FL+ to those dozen people and saved money.
  17. Logically yes. And welcome to KIC!
  18. You realize I mostly agreeing with you? LA Times is SFMM's hometown paper.
  19. Not matter how you dice it up that trip to the car at the end of a day at the park is the longest and hardest death march of the day.
