At CP with a Platinum Pass you can purchase FL+ for FL price in-park. But yeah, with the new Gold Pass up there most are expecting attendance to go up next season.

In my great and unmatched wisdom, I called it this morning.

The homing robot on the Mach 5 is technically not a drone and can send back video. Let’s get Spritle and a Chim-Chim to “borrow” it for us. She claims to be a former Tower Supervisor so knows they are not there, but doesn’t know where they are. She is also a teacher and I find that somewhat disturbing.

You should always take any corporate statement with a grain of salt, not limited to just KI. A statement is likely true at that exact point in time, but they are under no obligation to issue corrections to that statement as situations change. Also a statement not a deposition. Remember after Dino closed the park said there were no future plans to use that area. However not sure how that squares with the often touted on this forum 5 year planning timeframe for a coaster.

That is some effective marketing campaign they have going. I had to google what Takis were.

The couple of times I have experienced a long line on the causeway the problem has not been slow booth attendants but a traffic jam on the other side of the booths preventing people from pulling through. When the lot is full, people just don't know where to go. I have had major issues with the scanners at KI in the past but the last 2 years have been much better.

^ The ride might not be dangerous yet but if analysis showed it could become after another season then they needed to retire it. We will probably never the real reason until someone retires and writes a book about their career. Maybe sooner if it is replaced with something quickly.

That is going to some nifty trick considering those are stars. We will certainly need some major advances in air conditioning technology. A sun may be a nice place to visit but I sure wouldn’t want to live on one.

Thousands of years from now archeologists will marvel at this and attempt to find significance related to the the sun and speculate on alien influences.

Last year CP did restrict access to the CPS lot until 9:30 to cut back on early entry guests parking there but it appears they have not done so this year. There is additional CPS parking back by the old Sand Castle Suites area. IMO the front lot is sized correctly for the park as when it gets full the park is just jammed packed and really shouldn’t contain more guests anyway. If anything it is too big already. This all is really only and issue for Halloweekends and maybe a couple summer Saturdays. An expanded tollbooth and more parking personnel to guide traffic may help a some, but the major issue CP has is its inability to hire and retain enough staff at the compensation levels they want to provide especially in the fall. Until that issue can be solved finding a means to get even more guests efficiently into the park is just going to make the overall situation worse.

Yeah probably more like Nintendo’s standard note with each system update: On another note has anyone here tried Google Earth in VR? It really is fascinating being able to fly around a park and look at stuff in 3D from whatever perspective you want. It really would be incredible if in the future the park could set up a camera system with a live VR feed of a coaster construction. Possibly could even be technically accomplished now on some level with a few stand-off drones hovering a safe distance away.

Leave it to the IT guys to take the system down the day the lift hill is going to be topped. /s (hope this helps )

I recently had to start back up with asthma meds after being off for 8 years, the allergies are starting get back bad for me again. FA will store any meds for your husband, you just have to pick which one. Try and budget FL+ for Saturday or if you are considering a beach day do it then. If you can’t pull that off, Saturday would be good time for your daughter to do the quests at Forbidden Frontier. My boys spent several hours doing that.

July is when CP starts to get really busy but isn’t terrible most weekdays. 4 days should be plenty to get multiple rerides in and have some waterpark/beach time considering you will have 1 hour early entry with the PP. When we drive up for the day and want waterpark we typically get to CPS at 10:30 for early entry and then leave about 2 and chill in the car for an hour then head to the dry park. IMO CPS is not as good as SC@KI except for the Action River. Personally I would rather stay off-site and put that $200/night savings into FL+ for Saturday especially as you will have a PP and at CP you can get FL+ for FL price. After hearing how bad service has fallen this year at Breakers $300/night for dirty rooms would really cheese me off. (they can’t properly staff it). Having a close by room for naps would be nice however the car with AC is good enough for me. You will walk a lot more at CP than KI so make sure you family practices proper foot care and gets moleskin on any hotspots immediately. Carry some with you and know where the 2 First Aid stations are located. 4 days of 8-10 mile days is a lot.

No, but if it makes you feel any better they shut down access to CP an hour or so ago. Kind of glad we just never seem to have the time to a park in October anymore. The season just gets shorter and shorter for me.

I think that was in his book, which I have not read. What is difficult to measure however is its overall impact on the popularity of CP as a destination park. Without it would the public be as willing to spend $300/night on hotel rooms and make the costly travel arrangements? The fact that it remains certainly indicates management finds value keeping it despite the high maintenance costs.
