  1. It has been a couple of seasons since I went to Haunt and it was only once. What exactly is a scare zone? If it doesn’t require waiting in a 2 hour line that sounds like a winner to me.
  2. Candy works great for that. A King Sized Peanut Butter Cup gets me in the Fast Lane every time. /jk
  3. Actually phones falling out of back pockets was a big problem last year on Twisted Timbers at KD and helped lead to all the different restrictions. I don’t know why CP didn’t just provide free lockers for SV and keep the no phones policy or something else that doesn’t slow things down. Hopefully they will revisit the procedures in the off season.
  4. Depends on your body type. I love them but my 5’8” 105lb waif son gets his thighs crushed and isn’t a fan.
  5. ______ (( ____ \———— (( _____ ((_____ ((____ ---- / / (_((
  6. Who knew all those classes would lead to a job as sanitation engineer?
  7. Well they don’t do that at Zoombezi Bay, probably because they have lions, tigers and bears they could easily be fed to.
  8. Soak City needs an over 21 lazy river with alcohol like Crocktail Creek at Zoombezi Bay. Want to increase per caps? That is how it is done.
  9. @lifetimecoaster While most experienced park goers don’t use lockers often there are very valid reasons to need one. Photographers with an SLR, mixed weather days to store layers/rain gear, store prizes/souvenirs/ride photos, sunscreen, hats, contact cases, sunglasses when night hits, asthma inhalers, epipens etc. The souvenir bottles are certainly an issue. Some just have more needs than others. While we carry cheap throwaway ponchos on rainy days, there have been a couple of occasions I have purchased lockers especially early and late season when the temps can change drastically. Also most women and some men, wouldn’t be caught dead in cargo shorts, in part due to the ridiculous online shaming of them. @Hampshire24 Those Wranglers are popular and certainly a good choice. Another option that my boys and I use are the BSA shorts/trunks as they can go straight from waterpark to dry park without changing. No metal so waterslide safe, have a drawstring in addition to optional belt loops, one pocked has a dry bag on a teather which is great for your key fob and come in a much larger variety of sizes and about $22 as well.
  10. Yes, nobody gets to renter. (Without paying for an admission). I believe the rational is alcohol consumption in the parking lot (and other vices). I think most of us here begrudgingly accept that it is a necessary restriction. If you have any medically necessary items they can always be checked in at First Aid.
  11. @Maverick44 All Action Zone additions must include a staffed dedicated drink refill stand. Preferably a Freestyle.
  12. Agree theft is probably a big issue and also the labor required to have a cash handler traveling around collecting from each station.
  13. @MDMC01 Due to friends having promotional tickets that expired Labor Day Sunday last year we went to the dry park on Sunday and the beach Monday. I would have switched those days if we had a choice as Monday looked a lot better but I wasn’t unbearable. Both days were sunny and mid 80s.
  14. Although it wasn’t consistently enforced the CPS lot did not open until 9:30 so it wouldn’t get full with early entry guests and have room for waterpark parking. One could still park on the front lot and take the boardwalk to the resort entrance but many didn't realize that. Frequently one of the webcams pointed to the main midway and it was alway entertaining to watch the rope drop and half the crowd take off sprinting knowing they collapse by the time they hit the far Skyride station. I doubt even an Olympic medalist could sprint that far, but I bet @malemwould know how to pace himself correctly.
  15. Due to weather and boy’s busy summer schedules we only made it to KI once so far this season. Just received the PassPerks emails. Kiefer an I received 9.99 bring a friend benefits while Ryan got a front of the line pass. The sibling rivalry is just to strong and if I informed them of this absolutely nothing good would result.
  16. Wait for the “Kongs Island All Park Season Fast Lane+ Passhole” shirt. Darn auto-correct.
  17. I suspect they won’t let Gold Passholders through the gate into the impound area until after the Platinum Pass rope drop, at that point it will be easy to just check the passes for the few stragglers.
  18. The least they could do is give out some Platinum Back-of-the-Line Passes.
  19. Then go fix Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semi-trailer_truck
  20. Some digital bar napkin math here using google maps measurement and googling the average cost per square foot to resurface a parking lot. Lot: 4500’ x 850’ @ $1.59 per square foot is about $6M. Maybe that is what the “missing” 13’ is going towards.
  21. “Today” is one of those words that is kind of hard to define. Sort of like “Giga”
  22. If he were to as much as sneeze in the park today he would be committing a crime and kicked out. Considering it is closed and all.
  23. Issues like this pop up every now and then. It may or may not get straightened out completely but as long as you keep you cool and remain polite but persistent it is extremely unlikely you will be denied entry/meal/drink refill/whatever.
