  1. Maths is hard in the morning but that only applies if you bought less than 10 gallons. A full 10 gallons would cost $29.99 which is cheaper.
  2. And gas isn’t sold that way anyway. It is $2.999 which is still less expensive.
  3. What timeframe was this at SFSTL? When I frequented from 2011-2014 they were the most impeccably cleaned restrooms I have ever seen. 10x better than anything at KI or CP. Since then I have only been a few times but never had any issues. Management and priorities change so sad to hear if things have fallen apart recently.
  4. Holy thread merge batmoderators! Good job!
  5. No, there is another CP thread on this. He waited in line while the ride was down, plus there were small but strong storm cells passing close by that caused weather delays.
  6. No matter what park you are at waiting in line while a coaster is down is a huge risk. While it is possible to come out ahead, more often than not it is a loosing proposition. You just never know how long it will be down and the park can’t tell you because they don’t know how long it will take to fix it. The golden rule of lines is “you move, you loose”. The vending machines are there to use as you pass by them. Not to go forwards or backwards in line. As an older person I just can’t be in a line for 2 hours so I feel your pain and sure wish the parks could develop a “virtual que” but such systems are complex and expensive for seasonal parks that operate on very thin margins. A trick I use for hydration is to wear cargo shorts and also carry a couple of the 16oz Mylar collapsible water bottles with sports caps in my pocket or clipped to my belt with a small carabiner. 32oz of water should keep me safe for long time even on a hot day. My bladder is another story so I just don’t do the monster lines and find something else to do.
  7. In the past CF has allowed you to upgrade from a regular/gold to a platinum by paying the price difference of the Platinum Pass at that time. They generally go up in price as the season progresses.
  8. Possibly it is a hybrid and a whole new class. A Gyper or Hypga perhaps. That way it can set ALL the world records to make the stats enthusiasts happy.
  9. Justin at CPFoodBlog has a recent post about doing this. He claims to save $400 on his family. Prudent to check and see if your financial institution has any fees for the currency conversion. Also if you do the payment plan you need to factor in currency conversion rate fluctuations.
  10. I swear this is not my fault. I have never even been to the Carolinas.
  11. Now you are asking a KI question in a CP thread. Do you ask your ELA teacher to solve quadratic equations? Wait, don’t answer that, I don’t want to know.
  12. No coaster is worth waiting 4 hours. I never wait in line for a down coaster, there are so many other great coasters to ride and just watch for when they start testing.
  13. I don’t know any official stats but I find MF to be one of the more reliable coasters in the park, even above the B&Ms. But yeah it goes down occasionally, like all coasters do. I can recall only one time when it was down all day so there is a really good chance you can a ride it today. What have you accomplished so far? (and dude, ask CP questions in a CP thread )
  14. Your answer was one post up from Malem’s. I know, it’s late
  15. Healthcare represents 13% of the total workforce in Ohio, 12% nationally. Think about that for a minute. Nearly 275,000 people in the Cincinnati metro area alone are eligible for free admission this weekend. That dwarfs first responders and military combined and they all get free admission this weekend PLUS lowest ticket prices of the season for friends and family.
  16. CF is already an owner and operator in the campground industry. Ever hear of Lighthouse Point? In fact they even expanded this season.
  17. @shizzzon Yea..No! This is when I say let’s just go home and play some Beat Saber!
  18. Not that announcements are very effective but it wouldn’t hurt to use someone other than the Peanuts Teacher for them.
  19. @MDMC01 Not exactly PaddleWheel but a “riverboat excursion”. Whatever they do it is no longer possible to do a complete circuit with all the STR/FF stuff and bridge. Have you done the quests with the actors in Forbidden Frontier? I think you would really like it. My boys spent a couple of hours with it and want to go back for some more. I don’t think CP is going to get any new coasters awhile, though I wouldn’t mind if they did.
  20. Just sent a PM regarding general ride strategy. What else do you need to know? Directions, where to eat, where to park? SOB has spent a lot of time there as well.
  21. I remember them saying they would never do that. But money talks, the customer is always right, never say never, yada, yada.
  22. If they were smart it could be per cap boost as well. Sell individual nicotine patches or lozenges for $5 in the gift shops. Not the gum, parks wised up and stopped selling gum awhile ago. I think I would rather walk through a cloud of cigar smoke than step on chewed gum that has been baking in the sun.
  23. But none of that is relevant to how long the lines will be for this ride opening year when nearly everyone in the park will want to ride it and multiple times if possible. My guess is 1.5 - 2.0 on a typical day as once a line approaches 2 hours most people won’t get in line and move one. Unless there are extenuating circumstances such as rain delay, dead park etc. I don’t see it getting much shorter than that especially with KI’s general FL+ policy of walk-on at all costs. Of course that policy has a lot of variance but in general that seems to be the case from my observations.
  24. Diamaondback and Banshee have nearly the same capacity. What were those lines like opening year? I would expect similar lines if the popularity is the same. I guess a lot will depend on FL+ policies as well.
