@Voicetek Dynamic staffing is how these parks run just about everything so the best thing to do is just call park and ask. The half dozen times or so I have called about something has only taken a few minutes. They aren’t the cable company.

@FreedomPenguin The website is pretty clear that a 2020 Platinum pass is good for all parks in 2019. I suspect miscommunication between you and the associate. Speak with someone else or even call CP customer service to verify. No offense meant to KI Guest Services but I have found CP reps a bit more knowledgable. As LuvingKI said 2020 meal and drink plans are not good for 2019 and you will have to wait until next season for those. I go to CP once every week or two so feel free to ask any questions about it you have.

@FreedomPenguin I suggest you make a trip planning post as there are many members here that have made similar trips and could offer some good advice. I think you will get more responses and this thread can stay on topic. Can also search on the other parks and read some trip reports to get an idea how they compare to CP/KI.

Just like last year the park insisted they had no plans for the Dino area. It’s not happening “now”. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen ever.

That may be but do you think it is from a stat or visual perspective standpoint? How many people (other than some here) know off the top of their head how tall ET is? (I don’t). So why would they care if a coaster is taller than ET? From a visual perspective the I would think ET would appear taller from most if not all sightlines in and out of the park even if the lift hill was 350’ because ET is in the center and the lift hill is in the back and periphery of the park. I agree it has little to do with MF and CP. I just think as a business decision there was no justification to spend more money for a fleeting record given the regional target market. Could be wrong though.

I didn’t let my kids stay up for the announcement last night (Mean Daddy) so they were not super informed on Orion but did watch the POV this morning. What other park can claim “The World’s Shortest Giga”? Come on guys, this is a record that isn’t likely to be broken for many, many decades. If you go for the tallest the best you can hope for is a few years before you get knocked down. Orion will be a legend for a very long time.

Speaking of saving your passes to the app or wallet, this weird thing happened back in June at KI. Anybody else experience this? I asked at GS and they were dumbfounded as well. Now I could see this happening at a SIX park but FUN? The app devs must have been having some fun.

OMG KI still does that? This year I decided to make my boys responsible for their passes. Didn’t work out very well and each lost theirs at least 3-4 times. I swear one of them lost a pass nearly every trip. CP did not even attempt to charge me even once, just quickly handed us new passes. Maybe its just my handsome mug that got us special treatment.

Busy and spending much less time online mostly. Things are starting to get back to normal so hope to pop in more often. Lots to catch up on around here, but have occasionally done some lurking. I wonder if CF makes you purchase through your home park. Guess it wouldn’t hurt to try and make sure to let us know the results.

Someone needs to lawyer up a rational to make the all park FL an FSA eligible expense.

CP is also adding a Gold Pass with waterpark and parking for $99. But only 30 minutes of early entry instead 1 hour and no FL+ for FL price upgrade.
