  1. I thought dividers were added with the headrest and individual lap bars in the 90s. The long brake shed used to act as a block section. It was quickly discovered that 4 trains didn't benefit capacity enough to continue operating all four. (Diminishing returns)
  2. For reference, Cedar Point didn't announce Top Thrill Dragster until the tower was built. Nothing says the announcement has to be before construction.
  3. Beast used to run 4 trains. It also held 40 passengers at one point. And the helix was modified because lateral forces are not enjoyable with seat dividers. Also, has GCI stated that they won't go past 12 cars on flyer trains?
  4. That'd be nice with all those air-time hills but I'd like them to make it a bit bigger than El ToroBut the layout we have is almost 1200ft shorter...
  5. I heard this: And yeah, those have been there as long as I can remember riding the train.
  6. Based on your description and my memory of the plans, you are talking about the abutment locations.
  7. Ideally, it would have access on both sides of the train station.XBase could expand towards the dinos if they relocate maintenance buildings.
  8. The best reason to expand over there is because you have two major attractions on that side of the train tracks.
  9. I am not putting much stock in 2 guys doing a coaster special out of their parents' basements. You do realize that one of them is highly educated in engineering and knows how to read technical drawings? The information they shared is available to anything willing to look for it.
  10. That's almost exactly why I wouldn't choose RMC over GCI. I love the look of traditional wooden coasters. I also don't rate inversions very highly, so that wouldn't be a selling point for me.Accessibility plans only need to be submitted for the loading station. They can probably wait to get those done.
  11. Tell that to the guys that work on Firechaser Express. Again, one ride is propelled by tires and one ride is propelled by electromagnets.... FTFY. Both systems are electrical. One is electric brush motors, the other is magnetic LIM/LSM motors.
  12. The plans submitted to Mason suggest a length of at least 3250 feet.
  13. Are you looking at wooden structure or steel structure?
  14. The idea that I failed to get across is that Banshee and The Bat come close to each other, close to the SoB station. You would need to thread the coaster through one of those two for that station to be useful, otherwise need to turn towards the parking lot.
  15. I think the scale is right. The abutment boxes seen on the plans may actually sit in the bank of the reservoir. The only place I think the train track may be an issue would be at the coaster station area. But, even that I'm not sure of. I think this ends up being like Banshee where we go up to the second story to board and just bridge over the train tracks for the queue. Maybe Don will get bored tonight and post his copies of the plans on here and clear this up. To stay within the tracks, either the scale is off or the location of the abutment is off. Using the scale we have to work with, the turnaround down past WWC within the train puts the "south" abutment in the middle of the reservoir.
  16. Yeah, you look to have it mostly cracked a while back. I'm still perplexed by the plans themselves as they seem to discount this layout. But this seems to fit, so it is what it is. Not only would the orientation need to be incorrect, the scale would need to be incorrect as well. Unless they are planning on altering the reservoir and train quite a bit more than we originally thought.
  17. A "Helix" or "Maverick" type ride would be great in The Vortex spot. I just worry about too many similarities to Stunt Track.
  18. Banshee and The Bat come really close to the SoB station. I'd be surprised if they used it for any rides.
  19. I'm curious about the orientation presented in the leak if you claim there are no Train interactions.
