I heard it was down because they were melting the steel into a new B&M. They are probably doing the same thing to Millenium Force. Maverick and Wicked Twisted are next! LOL!

They could have put the track right up behind the Flight of Fear building to intentionally hide it from people looking from the Eiffel Tower. I believe @collin.klopfstein, and I think the track was delivered. The park is probably just trying to hide it from public view until after the announcement.

I watched this video on the stock holders call, and it looks like Kings Island is one of Cedar Fair’s main growth parks along with Cedar Point, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Canada’s Wonderland. Also, apparently Kings Island was among those parks receiving the honorable mentions throughout the earnings call. That is always good to hear.

It would be LRT in this case. “Late Ride Time” I guess it really just depends on what the park feels like calling it.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg getting two Intamin launch coasters in potentially back-to-back years makes me wish even more that Cedar Fair still worked with them. I know @Maverick44 feels the same way!

I have always liked Airtime Thrills because he discusses things that other coaster channels never talk about. I think he deserves more subscribers imo. Also, Kings Island is definitely a “have” park!

I think they will deliver the packages to the news stations tomorrow and a public announcement date will soon follow. I doubt the park will try to line the arrival of the package with the contest winner up with the news station’s packages. For all we know, someone across the country could win this retweet contest, and mailing it could take forever.

If it is the 15th or 16th, the announcement date will probably be announced sometime this week. With Mystic Timbers, they set the date about nine days in advance, so I see them announcing the date very soon! Assuming it is the 15th, I could see them announcing the date tomorrow on their social media and sending teasers to local news stations. That would line up with the timeline of Mystic Timbers. The 15th is also a Thursday, so that matches up to!

Whatever they are doing, I want this to come to KI!

Maybe this is a hint... tape and teasers... hmm... maybe Don ran out of that magical tape on the teasers and needs more...

I would like that, but knowing Cedar Fair, they would probably leave out the vertical spike element in order for the ride to run three trains. Maybe Intamin could work something else in to allow the coaster to run three trains, but I am not sure. Pantheon can only run two trains of twenty people, and that is not enough for Kings Island, especially if it is situated at the front of the park. Nonetheless, even without a vertical spike, I am sure that any Intamin launch coaster that we got would be absolutely amazing!

Trust me, I don’t! But anyways, how many signatures do you think is the magic number before the park spills the beans? 2,000 or more?

Thank goodness, but a Vekoma SLC would still be better than anything Intamin has ever... never mind! LOL! I stopped myself @Maverick44! But in my honest opinion, I think the park needs a good Mack or Intamin launch coaster next, preferably Intamin.

I bet John Materese reads these forums, not to mention that @Hawaiian Coasters 325 provides him with information related to Kings Island, specifically the 2020 project. Who knows, maybe one of you is John Materese! Or am I secretly John Materese? I guess we’ll never know for sure.

I watched a similar video a while ago too, and it looks really cool! I will leave a link to the one I watched below, and they start talking about the switch track at 1:30.

Maybe they want to see how much people want them to announce the coaster! Maybe at 1,000 signatures, they will set an announcement date!

Only if Kings Island could get something like that. We don’t have very good launch coasters.

I wish they made a POV video. It looks like a great launch coaster, but I wish Busch Gardens did what Cedar Fair usually does with their new roller coaster announcements which includes multiple renderings, POV videos, and other animations.

So if the QR code on the fence leads directly to the Change.org petition, and since Chad Showalter wrote a blog post regarding the petition before any of us even knew about it, I think it was created by the park. Not to mention the born in 1972 in a small town outside of Cincinnati! Somebody may have already mentioned this though. I didn’t quite feel like reading through ten pages of this stuff! LOL!
