  1. I know this is a probably going to be a rather unpopular opinion, but I don’t think Kings Island should get an RMC Hybrid or an RMC Wooden Coaster. As more an more of these coasters get built, they all start to feel the same in my opinion. They all have the same elements and similar forces, and they are all very similar to one another, the one exception being Lightning Rod. RMC said in an IAPPA interview that they want to do more ground up Hybrid coasters instead of wooden coasters, and I don’t see Kings Island getting a ground-up hybrid when Steel Vengeance is in the same state. Ours would almost certainly have to be worse than Cedar Point’s or people would come to Kings Island instead. Also, because all RMC’s have the same elements and the same general feel these days (again, in my opinion), people would think our RMC is too similar to Steel Vengeance which is three hours away. I do, however, like the idea of a 200-foot record-breaking wooden coaster, but I think they should go with a different manufacturer. Something like an Intamin pre-fab would be amazing as there is only one in the United States and none of these have been built in over a decade, so Intamin could easily have new innovations to put on a new ride. In my option, however, I would absolutely love to have a new GCI as I absolutely love Mystic Timbers among others. They are smooth, fast-paced, and intense. Some may say there are not capable of building a 200-foot wooden rollercoaster, but GCI has had some really cool innovations lately which includes their all-new train design to allow for tighter transitions and the first-ever ejector airtime on GCI’s as if there was not any already. These new trains can also handle inversions and launches, and GCI has models with these elements incorporated. It will be something different because instead of parks going back and forth to see who has the best RMC, Kings Island can work with GCI and do their own thing. I attached a picture of the latest dueling GCI model and an existing large-scale GCI coaster in China which is their largest ever. Also, for all we know, Cedar Fair may never work with RMC again, or at least not anytime soon because the last three coasters they added in 2018 all experienced major problems and downtime. If downtime and maintenance problems is why Cedar Fair does not work with Intamin anymore, then I could see them taking a break from RMC as well. And it is not like it was a problem, but everything is fixed now. Steel Vengeance has terrible capacity with it rarely running all three trains and having lengthy loading times due to the cell phone problem. There is a reason why most RMC’s only have two trains, and Kings Island needs at least three trains for it to eat through lines. It is also worth noting that the three parks that received RMC’s in 2018 in the chain did not see jumps in attendance but instead actually saw decreases in attendance to start off the year. The one park the got something different that year, Knott’s Berry Farm, saw a jump in attendance with their Gerstlauer. I would not be surprised if it is a long time before we see more RMC’s in the Cedar Fair chain. GCI and Cedar Fair have a strong relationship after all of these years, so I see them as being the best candidate. https://rcdb.com/9039.htm#p=35941
  2. I have heard that an new Antique Autos ride will be replacing Dinosaurs Alive per Carowinds Connection, and the users on that site made it seem like it was almost confirmed. But I really have no idea where they got this information unfortunately.
  3. This is what we have so far. Things may change, but this is all we have from the park as of now. I am personally hoping for a big ORION sign near the news truck because Cedar Fair always has the most detailed and ascetically pleasing entrance signs!
  4. I am still wondering what happened to that guy who broke his non-disclosure agreement and leaked the layout! LOL!
  5. I think he means all types of drawings and digital drawings. Paint.net would probably work.
  6. I have heard this too. I heard they allow more "give" than previous B&M vest restraints.
  7. Thanks! I thought the fog was cool too especially because it is right above the Little Miami River back there. The picture just wasn’t clear enough to show all of the work that was going on in greater detail, but I am glad you liked it! Here are some more photos of the fog! LOL!
  8. Took this with my phone yesterday. I know it is not that good! LOL! The supports definitely look more of a light grey than white in my opinion.
  9. Wait a second! Are you telling me there is more than one Six Flags? - Literally every GP with a Six Flags as their home park! LOL!
  10. I honestly don’t think this coaster is ever going to see the light of day. It is too ambitious like Son of Beast, and we all know how that mess ended up!
  11. I second this! I have no idea as well...
  12. I found this on Instagram! This would look amazing as a new front entrance to go along with Orion. I am not sure where this is from though...
  13. I would take a B&M floorless any day! They would probably have the next generation floorless trains with vest restraints which would be fine by me. Kings Island could easily smash records with something like a floorless too as none of those records have been broken in a long time. Or we could always get that B&M Surf Coaster or whatever that is supposed to be!
  14. Auto correct... Before anyone says anything about King Kong! LOL!
  15. I noticed the fountains were not working on the antique cars also when I went on Friday. I also noticed that the fountain by Viking Fury was not working, and I think I only ever saw that working one time this season.
  16. LOL! This guy has no idea what he is saying. He would prefer a 300 foot tall rollercoaster with a 287 foot drop. The drop is all I am concerned about tbh... you feel the drop way more than the height. I put a ride in a certain category based off the ride experience and elements is has. Technically, Goliath at La Ronde is not 200 feet tall nor does it have a 200 foot drop, but it has the elements of a hyper. If it feels like a hyper, I call it a hyper. Orion has giga-like elements, and it will feel like a giga therefore I call it a giga if the 300 foot drop is not enough to already call it one. Giga is a made-up term anyways, so there really is no solid definition of what one is.
  17. Technically if this giga wanted to break any real records, it would have either have to be taller than 367 feet and faster than 112 MPH. Those are the records of Red Force which is the current tallest and fastest giga coaster. Or they could make it the longest giga, but Steel Dragon 2000 is so long, that ours would have to be super long as well. These records would be incredibly hard for Kings Island to beat, and I could see B&M not willing to make a coaster that tall. Breaking those records would also be very expensive. I know, I know, people are going to say that Carowinds still advertises Fury 325 as the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster, but I don’t see Kings Island “lying” about a newly built coaster because people would accuse them of lying about its records. Also, for those who say Red Force does not count as a giga coaster, Kings Island counted it as one of the seven gigas in the world when they announced Orion, so they would definitely not be able to pull that off. The park could have broken North American records, though, but those are not nearly as interesting.
  18. Let me guess... it is an Intamin Blitz? LOL! I would love that!
  19. They repurposed the old Firehawk entrance building. Also, can I mention, the news truck before the queue, should be a WCPO van with a picture of John Matarese in the window.
