Am I the only one who thinks Flight of Fear gives some seriously underrated night rides?

I could very well see GCI coming in and do some partial retracking of the red side.

I know at Cedar Point, they were going to build a monster record-breaking 200 foot B&M floorless coaster, but they went with Maverick instead. This means that B&M is capable of exceeding 200 feet on a floorless coaster, and they could make something record-breaking for Kings Island. B&M could also maybe go for the North America inversion record with ten inversions or even incorporate a launch. I, personally see a record-breaking ten inversion B&M floorless coaster as a good replacement for Vortex and a good way to market the ride to the general public. Sigh... I really wanted to finally be able to enjoy an actual well-themed Halloween event at the park. The Snickers theming that Six Flags takes the time to incorporate into their event is miles ahead of Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt which is missing all of the high quality Snickers theming. Maybe some day though...

Now that Orion And Area 72 have been announced, do you think there will be any other small upgrades or changes to the park like what they did in 2019 with The Racer retracking, Beast’s trains repaint and footprints, Miami River Brewhouse, and the International Street Makeover? All of these were announced after the initial Antique Cars announcement, and they all came spaced out from one another. It seemed like they were announcing something new every month! Personally, for 2020, I actually could potentially see many new upgrades to the park. This could include more Racer retracking, maybe a new restaurant or additional Area 72 announcements (theming, Flight of Fear enhancements), and International Street Makeover Phase 2 as some people have said that the renovation last year was only Phase 1!

I think the rails were painted in 2009. I am not sure about the rest though.

I saw this and kind of laughed. This would be cool all right, but in reality, it was probably just a couple of employees messing around. Another example of employees trolling enthusiasts was when someone placed the old wood by the Son of Beast gravestone in the midst of all of the Son of Beast RMC rumors.

I respect everyone’s opinions, especially when they have so much information and supports to back it up. This whole potential buyout made me realize how lucky we all are to have Cedar Fair as the owner of Kings Island! I could never imagine having Six Flags running Kings Island!

I think Cedar Fair handles Winterfest really well! I don’t ever see Banshee and Diamondback running in the cold weather because that would damage the rides. Also, Winterfest is not about the rides, it is about the experience and the atmosphere. Kings Island and Cedar Fair have done a great job of making Kings Island’s Winterfest one of the best Christmas events around. I really enjoy it! I would not want Six Flags to touch Winterfest! Renaming it to Holiday in the Park would also take away the nostalgia factor that Winterfest has. People remember going to Winterfest as a kid, and now they are taking their kids and making new memories together as a family.

I agree! I honestly don’t want Kings Island’s pass rate lowered if that means a lower quality park. I rather have them remain higher than the current Six Flags parks and remain higher quality. Anyways, the current prices of Kings Island Gold Passes seem to be okay because many people are buying them.

I honestly just don’t want Kings Island’s name to be changed to anything else. Cedar Flags is not bad, but I see it as a possibility that if they merged it would become Six Flags - Cedar Fair with each of Six Flag’s and Cedar Fair’s current parks retaining the same names. Same company, two different sets of parks! There is no way in heck that they will own almost 30 parks and still have one $60 pass that gets you into each and every one. Some people are arguing for Six Flags to buy Cedar Fair, so they don’t have to spend the extra money on two passes. I slap myself on the face when I hear that. People familiar with Six Flags will want their park to be called Six Flags and people familiar with Cedar Fair parks will want their parks to not be named Six Flags! I for sure don’t want Kings Island to be a Six Flags! Nobody else does either!

*Holiday in the Park! LOL! But in all honesty, after what Cedar Fair has done with Winterfest, it would be so sad to see Six Flags come in and mess it all up! I love Winterfest!

I want to know why Flight of Fear is not open for Winterfest this year. It would be interesting to learn if it is just for construction or for different reasons.

It mentions a webcast of some sort with the CEO, so maybe, just maybe, some questions will be answered here. I am not saying that this is for sure, and I really don't know what this is exactly, so feel free to correct me if I am completely wrong.

Maybe Six Flags is just trying to sabotage Cedar Fair’s season pass sales? LOL!
