Decoding 2020
I have not been to Canada’s Wonderland to experience the new ride storage system, so I don’t full understand how it works, but if it is anything similar to how plain bins in the station work, it would be on the exit side of the station. When you board, let’s say Diamondback, you step over your seat to the exit side to put your items in the bin. I will probably have to research how Canada’s Wonderland’s system works to find out more about it before I can say for sure...

Someone may have pointed this out earlier (or I did), but for the sake of new conversation, Yukon Striker is the only rollercoaster in the Cedar Fair chain that has a water fountain in the station in order for people to dump out their drinks before placing them on the new ride storage bin system. Do you think that the reason there is a water fountain in the station is for the giga to have a similar ride storage bin system? I know Amusement Insiders pointed this out in a video long ago, but I was just thinking about it again today because I didn’t know if anyone had put more thought into it...

It would be sooooo cool if would could get a custom IMAscore soundtrack like we did for Mystic Timbers!

I misspoke, but thanks for correcting!

Thank you... unfortunately the warning has been extended until 2 AM! On the other hand, I wonder what a night ride on The Beast would feel like right about now...

The theme music is just as impressive!

Is it possible, based on the blueprints, that this new ride will have a storage system similar to Yukon Striker’s new overhead storage system? I don’t know if this has already been talked about, but I was just wondering about it!

I can’t think of anything of the top of my head, but I am looking forward to seeing your video!

RMC throughout Cedar Fair?
I just don’t see us getting a ground up RMC topper track or I-Box track coaster anytime soon because Cedar Point is super close and literally has that as their signature attraction. It also just came last year!

I hope the supports have good contrast to the blue track! I am not a fan of how the track color and support color on Leviathan look almost identical. However, I love Banshee’s color scheme with the blue/purple supports and the red/pink track (I am not sure those are the actual colors), but I am not a fan of Diamondback’s color scheme because the yellow has been faded for years. On the giga, I am personally hoping for white or black supports as I think those colors would look great!

Yeah, he zoomed in on some of the track, but the camera was so shaky that it was impossible to make out what any of the labels said in the video!

KI Trip Report - June 7
You also have to wonder how many people complain to guest services and on social media over worthless things, and often times they are the ones in the wrong. It would be hard for the park to implement a solid guest feedback program when most of the submissions would be spam or junk. All of the meaningful complaints would be buried in tons and tons of junk responses. I do think @fyrfyter had a solid complaint that the park could improve on and is helpful for the park to hear about, but I know there would be people who would abuse a feedback program. One of my relatives who worked at the park, in guest services, told me a story about a time when a man was so angry that he threw a pen holder at her, so she had to file an assault charge. Also, a man once demanded a refund because he got bird poop on his new car while it was in the parking lot. Those are the kinds of responses the park has to deal with constantly, and some of the good criticism is lost with piles of those dumb remarks.

MCT is guaranteed for Kings Island as the track labels match up with the labels on the blueprints!

I was about to comment about that, but you took the words right out of my mouth! Thanks for the good find! Now all we have to figure out is the colors for the supports!

Actually, from this photo, we can tell the bottom of the track will sport a different color! I am not sure if it will be grey like it is now, or if the bottom has yet to be painted! Unless it is just the glare! Edit: After studying the photo more in depth, I think that the track is just solid blue...

THE WATERMARK IS BLOCKING THE LABEL AND WRITING ON THE TRACK! EDIT: It may still not be clear enough to read!

I like your thoughts, but they make me feel like we need a completely separate thread for “The Coaster After the Giga!”

KI Trip Report - June 7
I honestly had the complete opposite food experience yesterday at the park. I went to Skyline Chili and ordered three of what I thought were chili and cheese coneys, but I was surprised to find that when I ate them, they had no hot dog inside. I went up and asked why there were no hot dogs, and I soon realized that I had ordered three chili and cheese “sandwiches” which is just chili and cheese in a hot dog bun. This is probably why my bill came out to be so cheap. Anyways, I kind of felt bad for asking, even though I asked politely, because I was the one who was wrong. I was about to apologize and be on my way, but the kind lady who was working took my plate of food and gave me three hot dogs at no extra cost. She took the extra step to make my experience better when she could have just told me that I was wrong and that there was nothing that she could do!

Having been at the park a couple times this season, I cannot even tell you how many GP have seen the clearing and think that a giga is coming! I have heard many people “bragging” to their friends that they know what is coming next year! I guess John Materese has done his job!

Is there any way to tell whether the spine of the track is painted a different color with what we have to work with right now?

Honestly, there are not many local news stations that go as far to get documents from the city and go to a rollercoaster manufacturing plant to put the latest buzz about an amusement park on the news...

I really don’t know if this helps, but you can clearly make out some blue track in this video around the 0:53 second mark!
