  1. Wow! This early in the season too. Glad I wasn’t their
  2. I would assume they pay to have their name in the park, as for profit I would assume they would spit it with KI but with KI making most of the profit.
  3. Mystic Timbers was interesting when it came to advertisement. The ride itself was great but the shed made the whole thing “eh”. I though the shed was neat the first time I rode it but after that, it was bland. The best part of it is that you get to listen to an 80’s song while you wait. I honestly think that Mystic was very much over hyped. The shed and everything, just overhyped by the enthusiast community and the GP. Advertisements for the ride made it look slightly more intense than it actually was but that’s the norm with ad’s. So I think with a Mystic as a whole it was simply overhyped. The ad’s had nothing to do with it being hyped up.
  4. I second this. Although the color scheme that the top coasters has isn’t half bad. it’s Takabisha in Japan somewhere i think.
  5. Great explanation, they will eventually paint coasters, but there is usually more than a decade between paint jobs. For instance TTD got its first paint job in 2014(it’s a two year process though). So it got its first paint job 11 years after it opened, a reason that might explain why it got painted sooner than most coasters is the fact that it’s arguably the centerpiece of CP’s collection (by this I mean most eye catching or most looked at).
  6. I would support this @sixohdieselrage. What plane do you fly in? What is they fuel cost per flight hour? How long are you up in the air normally? Just curious. Also my 100th post! I’m really enjoying being a part on this wonderful community full of so many awesome people!
  7. Something like Riddlers Revenge would be neat, maybe with a brighter green. Credit:https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21213&start=20
  8. Here’s a picture I took of the Carowinds skyline. It would be neat if it looked like this.
  9. I agree with you. Someone who is a pass holder like most of us on this forum spends a lot more on the park than others. We buy drink plans and dining plans and lots of other extra things you don’t see a 1 day a year visitor buying. So they reward us for spending our money on them by letting regular ticket people bring their kids in for free? This just doesn’t sound right.
  10. I would Like to see this happening, just them sprucing up the spaceship and other small things in the que line. I would really like KI to keep the whole “X-Base” theme and FoF’s theming is a big part of that.
  11. I agree with this, especially when sitting down by potato works to eat something. The loud noise it makes at the bottom of the first hill is weird.
  12. One coaster that has a good “roar” is Raptor at CP. it’s iconic to the midway. I personally think Rougarou is overwhelmingly loud though.
  13. I’m not 100% sure that noise will be much of an issue with this ride. It will be tucked in the back corner of the park, the only issue would be its close proximity to Racer and WindSeeker and I believe that racer is a pretty loud ride compared to a B&M Giga. I agree with you @Zayzayd13 Fury is Very quiet for a coaster
  14. As sad as this would be, I could see many things going into the spot we’re Vortex currently is. I could see A Dive by B&M or maybe a compact floorless, also by B&M. I could also see an RMC Raptor going their as well.
  15. Let’s just hope that they keep Kennywood the way it is if the deal goes through.
  16. I’m dead sure their putting in a Super Looper *Im Kidding*
  17. *DISCLAIMER* I am not trying to bash any rollercoaster manufacturing company or people, this following contains mostly facts and a little bit of opinion. You may want to think before you say on stuff like this, hyper and Giga coasters give very different ride experiences. I’ve ridden Fury 325 and Millennium Force a number of times, I’ve also ridden several hyper coasters by B&M, and with many rides on Diamondback I can say with confidence that they give very different ride experiences. B&M Hyper coasters focus on floater and a little bit of ejector airtime (ejector being minimal). B&M Giga coasters focus on speed, turns, transitions and some airtime. This may be my opinion, but a Giga coasters has a very unmistakeable and powerful presence. The first time you see one, you can’t help but saying “Wow! Look at it”. It’s something that you almost can’t explain with words. While RMC creates great rides that are unlike anything in the industry, One of their best coasters is a little over 3 hours away at the Cedar Point and still brand new. While I do see a Ground up RMC is KI’s future, now is not the time. I also like what @goettablitz said, what’s so authentic about a RMC. Their are far more out there than Giga coasters. A quick google search proves the point that there are 14 operating RMC coasters in America, while only 4 Giga (two of witch are B&M) are in the USA, with some quick math done of the top of your head, you can pretty quickly figure out that RMC’s outnumber Giga’s about 3.5 to 1. So after we bring some facts and logic into this statement, we can say that Giga coasters are with out a doubt not the same thing as Hyper Coasters but with a hundred feet added on the top. And we can also say that Giga coasters are not only a lot more rare in the industry than RMC coasters, but Giga coasters are lots more authentic than RMC coasters based on numbers purely. Moral: Think before you post and welcome to KIC!
  18. Even though I am on the Giga band wagon, part of me wishes we would get a massive version of Maverick or a fast paced Copper Head Strike that uses the terrain to its advantage.
  19. @Magenta Lizard are you at the park right now? If so, how’s the crowd
  20. Finally got around to listening to it last night. It was neat!
  21. Makes me wonder if they replaced things elsewhere or had to do some work on a central system that has something to do sprinklers all over the park, not just in that building. They may of even had to replace a central system at some point, that just might explain the 7.3 million. But it would be a long shot that wouldn’t really make sense. It would make more sense if it was $73 grand or $7.3 grand
