  1. I rode Beast on average 5 times a visit this year. Mostly back seat. I would ride Racer 1 time and sometimes 0 per visit.
  2. Some of us were told by the bald man himself during Coasterstock that red side would be getting work done this winter.
  3. Looks like New Years Eve is changing a bit from Last Year at Kings Island. Gonna be more family friendly. Only running rides until 10pm instead of 1am. No mention of a bar and dance area in the International Restaurant either. I wonder if all the shops and restaurants close at 10pm too? If so there won't be much to do after 10 if you don't have a family.
  4. If you think that's bad, one of the shops on International had a tree all summer with leftovers for sale. I also don't like how this years Beast hot chocolate mugs are not nice glass mugs exclusive to Winterfest like last year. Its left over Beast 40 mugs leftover from summer.
  5. Seeing as this is a thread for 2018 reviews this should get locked. There is other ones for 2019.
  6. I think that trolley has fixed locations but I could be wrong. Every time I have caught it was near the Chick Fil A at 9:30pm.
  7. This was the second Saturday in a row I did not go due to rain. If it rains too much they are known to cancel shows and there is always the chance the park decides not to open or close early. Spring Summer and Fall yes go enjoy the rides. As long as there isn't lightning most of them run. This time of year I would think the rain would ruin the fun.
  8. If we are going down that road then you minus well go for broke. Add enough room to the premium Haunt for a themed Haunt dinner buffet like Night of the Living Fed. Also do what Kennywood and Knotts do. Dinner buffet comes with ERT of some kind. Editing this to say the Haunt should be a partial or all indoor log flume. The theme could be old ride gravestones and you will sit in a Vortex car log.
  9. Also interesting is I think last year the last ice skating session was 9:30pm which meant it ended after the 10pm close. But I could be mistaken on that.
  10. One of many reasons it sat was maybe due to potential lawsuits. Or the park suing the manufacturer. Or maybe they didn't know what to do with it.
  11. My pork was dryer than a popcorn fart but the ham and beef did taste really good. If DeltaFlyer was there at 8pm Friday then I was likely standing beside him at some point and did not even know it.
  12. I don't think the blue ice cream hot chocolate was offered last year. Coney BBQ has seasonal stuff that may or may not have been offered last year. Graeter"s has the blue ice cream hot chocolate and a smores hot chocolate I want to try.
  13. Half of the lift hill chaser lights were not working right for most of the season anyways. Maybe they just didn't bother to turn them on for Winterfest like they do Racer.
  14. I like the gift boxes and I liked the pedestals too. Makes me wonder if they could add pedestals of some sort back during the summer or something else new. Also I could have swore last year there was snow flakes blowing on International Street but maybe I'm crazy.
  15. I didn't know about the KIC meetup until it was happening and I was on the other side of the park at that time. I think I was watching Ice carving at the time.
  16. This was a complete letdown this year. I tried the Snow Day Buffet last night around 8pm. They were out of almost all the meat and lots of other food was either not on the buffet or they were slow to bring more out. Lots of people standing around with empty plates waiting on food to be brought around. I never did get to try the turkey. Staff tried to say there were only 2 chefs and they couldn't keep up with demand. Well last night wasn't that busy. If they could not make food fast enough and keep the buffet stocked last night then whats gonna happen on a really busy night. Even the desert bar was just one cookie tray. I likely won't ever do this again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
  17. I did see Grand Carnival listed for 2020 somewhere in the park today but no dates. Dates for everything will probably be released in February like they were last year. About the same time Coasterstock tickets go on sale.
  18. I use the single rider line and so if anything's over there I never see it. The poster is on the ride platform now where Arrow Staple Gun was. I know Arrow Staple Gun and one other were added for Winterfest 2017 then left up for the entire 2018 and 19 seasons.
  19. It wasn't there last year. Last year was Arrow staple gun and one other not there now.
  20. Christmas poster has been changed too. I posted a pic on page 8.
  21. I was on mobile when I said that and couldn't see your location info. I think the Lazarus headquarters was in Columbus and that store would be around 100 years old now and had like 10 floors. I think the building was Art Deco but I won't swear to it.
  22. You must be from Columbus too. I went to Lazarus every Christmas as a child during the 80's.
  23. I took advantage of the "Gold Pass" Deal in 2018. I bought my first Platinum ever at Kings Island and got in King's Island the rest of 2018 on my 2019 pass. In 2018 the offer didn't allow free visits to other parks like it is this year. So that part proves your point even more. I don't understand the Funpix thing. I thought that was extra. Are you saying new passholders got Funpix thrown in this year too? Also to beat them on their own deal you could just renew every other year and get the added bonus months. Would probably only work if it was an off year and you really didn't want to visit until August. Or if you filled your summer up with other non Cedar Fair parks.
