Cedar Point Fast Lane 2020
SnakePlissken replied to fromkingstocedar's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Antique Cars was Fast Lane Plus last year too. -
But that means losing another Haunt location and I don't really want that either. Haunt is my favorite time of year.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean? Changing the length or where the que starts will not change how far you have to walk to board The Bat. It is also not possible to move The Bat closer to Wolfpack. So yes you could tear up the que and make it shorter but why?
-
I think the Bats insanely long que was a response to Vortex's que being too small when it opened and people standing halfway across the park to ride it

That park only has 4 really good coasters. 2 of which we have better versions of in our home state. Maybe soon 3. -

I'm in favor of replacing the Coke Freestyle Stand with an old fashioned Pepsi stand.

At Carowinds it will be the price of Plus but marketed as a savings somehow. They realized most people at that park are buying plus. -
I rode it last year on a 90 degree day and did not even get wet. That ride only gets you wet near the front.

I also read somewhere that Carowinds got rid of Plus completely but I can't really confirm that. -

Last year I had to email them. I wish they had that info on their website but sadly they don't. -

I really enjoyed both events. I just liked Coasterstock more. Also I felt that Coasterstock people were more friendly than Mania too. I just couldn't come up with a good way to say it. Editing this to say I didnt realize I was posting 2 in a row. I'm on mobile and dont see a way to delete posts. -

I have the shirt at home and can take a picture if you want. One of the Coasters listed on the shirt has a typo in it. -
I have rode 3 standups. Vortex at Carowinds this past summer, King Cobra and Mantis. I hate standups. Its my least favorite coaster model. Last time I rode King Cobra was likely 20 years ago and probably only once or twice a year. I do not remember it being great but I would have been under 20 years old too. If it was still around now I know my opinion would have probably changed. I now prefer intensity and airtime over anything else. 20 years ago I rarely rode Magnum simply because Millennium Force was taller and had a higher top speed. Mantis was terrible and as a floorless its much better but still a headbanger at times. Vortex reminded me why I hate standups so much after 15 + years of not riding any.

I agree the location was always dumb. It should have been near the at the time other 3 water rides. That being said the only place back there now is the old Tomb Raider Building and that is only okay to me if it does not mean losing another Haunt.
-
The worst coaster in the park is Invertigo. I dont care for Congo Falls much either. Its short and if you are not in the front you do not get very wet. Invertigo is on borrowed time considering many others like it are gone and its using Stinger trains.

Does anybody know if keyfobs are waterproof?
-
It should be a Space dock Bay instead of a shed...

Some of us were told during Coasterstock last summer that this winter was the red sides turn but seeing as its already Feb I'm not sure that is still happening.

Orion is the only new coaster in the whole chain for 2020. So that is why it sold out quick. The year Steel Vengeance opened Kings Dominion also got a coaster. Also consider the fact that usually Coastermania tickets go on sale first and this year they are waiting till April. Its just my opinion but Coasterstock is also the better event of the two. 2 days instead of one, 2 meals, drinks for both days vs no drinks at Cedar Point. Cedar Point doesn't throw in free photos or any walkbacks. Coastermania was about 35 dollars last year for one day and Coasterstock was about 45. Coasterstock also had the nicer shirt last year and no typos in it. At Coastermania processing isn't very good either. You all stand in a long line and it doesn't start until 30 minutes before the scheduled 7am ride time. You likely wont get through it before the 7am mark. I also think Cedar Points cap for their event is higher. Tony won't say what the cap is but it really felt like there was a lot more people at Coastermania than Coasterstock. -

What's in the Kings Island Theatre in 2020?
SnakePlissken replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
That depends on when in 2014 the contract started and when it ended in 2019. Seeing as the shows start at the end of May and run through the end of august/ sometimes Labor day, it would be over the 5 year mark. So its 6 seasons and over the 5 year mark. -

No Cirque this year? -
What video?

It was that way last year too. If you buy the gold at the right time of year its only $100 and gets you several extra months. On the same note why would anybody pay the $72 gate price plus $20 parking anymore or the 2 or 3 day passes? Over the years the passes have come down in price because the park knows it means people will spend more in park. I know I sure do.
