I hope this is an anniversary coaster but I doubt it is. We haven’t had any teasing at all. I have no idea what this will be but we will see around 4:30 ET!

Introducing Defiance, a new Gerstlauer eurofighter going to Glenwood Caverns! This coaster will be, um…situated on a mountain!!!!!! It has three inversions, them being an inverting top hat, a banana roll, and a zero g roll into the breaks. It will have a 102.3 degree drop and the rest of the ride is only the two inversions, making it super short. And yes, this is the record breaking Gerstlauer that was speculated to go to Cedar Point This vid gives a better description. Thoughts?

Thats a hard one lol. Wicked twister has the launch and the hang time but Invertigo has the rip your face off intensity. I think I’d go with wicked twister. I’m one of the fewer people who actually enjoys Invertigo I guess lol.

I haven’t ridden much coasters at cp but I can already tell you that SteVe is in the Mount Rushmore of Ohio. My list: SteVe, top thrill dragster, Maverick, Orion I like aggressive rides and millennium force is fun, but I don’t find it very intense.

Well yeah that’s what I’m talking about. The very small scale kiddie rides like the carousel might not do much. But anything larger will play a number on him. Makes me think that’s the problem.

Just a quick question, do you happen to have any vision problems? My dad has some minor vision problems but its to the point where it makes him sick on any sort of ride, even the Woodstock flyers. So does the sickness start with dizziness or vertigo or anything vision related?

That’s awesome. Hopefully this thing comes to life. Also, discovery kingdom being relocated? Like to a different location?

I will say this has nothing to do with the manufacturer. It is the carnival runners fault. All their fault. They probably didn’t take the proper precautions to keep the ride running properly. That is absolutely horrible though, feel real bad for the people involved but happy that everyone is safe.

I rode it about 5 days ago and the front is better than the back IMO. Great airtime down that first drop. Also great airtime on the speed hill, camelback, off axis hill, and transition into breaks. I greyed out on the helix. Overall, 10 out of 10. Fantastic ride, my number 2.

No not at KI lol. That happened at school. I’m just saying if that can happen at school, it can happen anywhere. And yes I know they have security and metal detectors, but you won’t believe some terrible fights that happen.

Well I still think they should do the policy. I know I have the freedom to grow and learn, but last year we had this problem with a kid trying to attack one of my siblings with a knife a couple of separate times. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding this again, but I am all for this policy because teen violence really is getting worse.

Penalized? No, I’m not being half forced to say this lol. I just really do think a chaperone policy should be set in place. I’m just stating that this is a real problem these days.

I really do think they should do chaperoning. I feel strange saying this being a minor, but for the safety of children it really does need to happen. And yes, kids really have gotten that bad. It’s really sad to see some of my childhood friends doing stuff that makes me sick to my stomach even thinking about it. Depressing note now aside, KI also should have the security to keep an eye on this stuff so I would be surprised if this does happen lol. But I really do think that this chaperone policy should be a thing.

This really is a problem. I went to SFOT this spring and the park was on high security and we had no idea why. I was in line for Mr. Freeze when a security guard was scanning everyone’s faces and then immediately a nasty fight broke out. We were around at least three of these. When we left the park I was watching YouTube and found a news video saying the night before there was a fight that resulted in a shooting that injured one person. They didn’t even shut the park down. I’m glad that these restrictions are being put in place, even if they might not work out as planned.

I know it means more than a new coaster, I’m just saying Kings Island is a big enough park to get a large scale gerstlauer. I doubt we will get the 2022 gerstlauer, it’s just a very minor possibility. I could see this being a gas line replacement over a new coaster lol

The construction that was speculated to be a new entrance or new gas lines or something like that. Plus I saw this video where someone is seeing these markers that were used for Orion in another area of the park. To be honest, it’s possible that the 2022 Gerstlauer will be KI’s. I know they haven’t started any teasing but there has been some construction going on. Just a thought.

Well we all know that Cedar Fair has its favorite children, and it’s favorite children don’t have the need for a Launch coaster. That’s really all premier does, and if the favored parks don’t need an LIM/LSM, why work with them?
