I've seen the red benches behind Action FX Theater smashed in; toilets stuffed with toilet paper (and other gross stuff); signs that read "You will get wet on this ride" with the word "wet" scratched off, and every imaginable word in its place; and trash/food/traffic cones thrown into the bed of my pickup truck in the parking lot. You can have the nicest park with all the security and signs you want. There still will be those disrespectful few who just don't care!

I miss the 'tiques really badly! Not because I liked riding them, but because it was a pleasant, green patch of trees, and now the "urban" IJST theming is just such an eyesore!

that be SWEET!!! id call it Atom Buster!!!! I just wanted to make my triple-digit-bustin', 100th PKIC post be a meaningful and thought-provoking one; so I'll just say "23 Days 'til Opening Day, Baby! Woohoo!" "Atom Buster", eh? Hmm... Sounds cool.... POST 100....yay!

Ooooh, that brought up a scary thought: What if a tornado hit while riding on Vortex/Beast/FoF/AE/TG/F/O or SOB? (Off Topic) Or, maybe not off-topic 'cause that'd make a cool Action FX feature! I know 'Twister' was a Warner Bros. flick, but a tornado-hits-active-coaster attraction would be, well, kinda neato! ...I need coffee. 99th post!

Whew! From what I know about SF, I'd be sad if they ever got their hands on PKI.

You might be a PKI addict if you... You look out your kitchen window at the WLW antenna and think, "Man, that'd make an awesome first drop for a coaster!"

Funnier still is how giddy 'Peter' is about making $5 to cover for the bear-costume guy at the end. "I'll do anything for $5!" What'll $5 get you at PKI these days?

I want one of those nice Vekoma Boosterbike coasters, winding through the wooded terrain surrounding the park.

I agree that IJST looks SORELY out of place in the 'Tiques' once-pastoral footprint. That's plain ugly! Sure, Kings Island may not be Disney-Caliber, but they can still fit Mickey's freakin' "Magic Kingdom" in PKI's parking lot! Once you pass through the front gate of our beloved park, the fountains, Eiffel Tower and bombastic music ALWAYS set the mood for an awesome time, unlike any in the world (well, except PKD), period! ...and where's the official word on Vortex's days being numbered?!? I wonder if the old Kings Island Resort is big enough to bulldoze and replace with a nice campground? (That way, we can sleep with LIVE insects, just like the good old days). That GWL is going to add to PKI's mystique as just an awesome place.

Top Gun/Nug Pot!

After hearing that there'd be Zamperla rides in NU, I thought the 'Avatar' flying coaster would be a Zamperla Volare coaster (not a Kite Flyer, which I thought was probably the Danny Phantom rig). Anyone heard anything?

So, what would a 600'+ coaster be called? Quantum Coaster? CosmoCoaster?

Hopefully someone whose primary focus for revenue-generating is in family entertainment! This may sound ridiculous, but I hope it's picked up by people who happen to be PKI fans. I'd like to see Kings Island become the benchmark, flagship park by which all other parks are compared (including the Disney parks).

I'd enact positive incentives that would encourage better behavior among potentially rowdy guests. I'd open up "hidden" areas to more visible security so as to discourage vandalism, fighting, line-jumping, etc. I'd put the lights back on top of International Street, and I'd use the Winterfest lighting scheme (sans the 'tree' lights) on the Tower (and replace the ugly strobe light with the more aesthetic red glowing beacon). I'd install another bank of lockers. I'd hire a company to develop an inexpensive toilet-paper dispenser that would emit a loud shriek anytime someone tries to take enough paper to stuff the commodes by The Vortex!

EDIT: Yeah, a Colt's-Themed Wild Mouse (to illustrate the '05 season). Talk about a heartbreaker!
