24 rides on the back of the 5,282 foot-long snake for me. I'd get more, but I work virtually all-day every day the park is open; any time I have before/after single shifts is pretty much spent getting rides on D-Back, which isn't that often. Of course, this weekend should be good for me. With shifts starting at 3:30 (and Math & Science Day on Friday), that should be more than enough time to get a ton of rides on it (I estimate 10 rides per hour on the single rider line, maybe more).

Yeah, but you don't freeze half to death when you're in one of those Dryers.
-
Yeah, I would love for them to get one of those new-fangled body dryer things like at Dollywood at the exit of Splash Battle: And have it at the exit off White Water Canyon to help dry you off quickly. Perhaps it would even be used for the kids getting off that Wild Thornberry's ride due to the elephant with the really itchy trigger finger.

The Crypt so much potential. So little time...

Yes, because a Tilt-A-Whirl would be the perfect replacement for a Giant Top Spin... -
Questions for the KI experts (morning ERT, etc.)
RingMaster replied to Thrillrider's topic in Trip Reports
As did I; I believe I was actually two people behind you in the single rider line that day. But 5 minutes versus 45 minutes... -RingMaster, who was able to get nine rides on Diamondback within the span of 2-and-a-half hours (as well as two rides on Beast and one on Crypt) on Sunday. -
More often than not, they start hiring/interviewing mid-August.

...there are SO many old props the park could auction off but just decide to leave rusting away in the Boneyard. Namely all the old props that used to reside in the Paramount Story I wonder how much money they could raise just for auctioning off the Enterprise starship or Forrest's bench...

That absolutely drives me insane. I work at Speedway and we have 7 large trash cans, 2 HUGE dumpsters, and 2 ashtray/trash cans outside. What do people do? They throw trash all over the ground, and empty their ash trays in the parking lot! My number 1 peeve is when people throw trash AT a trash can, watch it bounce off the trash can, and keep walking. It's enough to make me want to choke them. I've actually reached over, grabbed the trash, thrown it in the can, and said to them, "The trash can is RIGHT THERE." I will completely clean the lot, go back the next day and it's trashed again. There's roughly over 900 trash cans in the park. Guests somehow only bother to use 300 of them. And it's bad enough to have someone deface park property through the use of graffiti. It's worse when said offender BRAGS about it outside the park. The incident in question was back around 2006 on a Kings Dominion fansite (PKDPlace) to where one of the posters had made a new topic in which he shows off some of his "works of art" (such as sticking gum on trees and etching obscenities on the wooden queue rails of Grizzly) to other forum members. Needless to say, after 30 pages of arguing and telling him what an idiot he was, they finally decided to close the topic and have his information forwarded to the park so that he was banned from the Dominion. I believe the reason for why it took so long was this was around the same time the Flight of Fear fiasco began (pointless bickering between members and numerous attempts to hop the fence and take pictures of what was going on).

Very doubtful that a Haunt location would be in that spot considering Urgent Scare is right next door (Action Theater), and we've all seen what happens when multiple houses are within the same area.*cough*X-Base Alley*cough*

What a Great Day to be a Kings Island Fan!

I agree with the Carrot Top thing, but Marty's Party is definitely a good show. You should check it out. I agree with Ryan even though I've only seen the first 20 seconds of the show; it's definitely worth watching. It reminds me more of Pee Wee's Playhouse more than Carrot Top. Down Home Country is also a good show. I'm not a fan of country music yet I enjoyed it. -
Just remember to try not to disturb the snake pit as you make your way up the steep incline...

Realistically, how many Diamondback Opening Day rides do you expect?

A warning to those living in the vicinity of Kings Island and plan on visiting said park on the 18th of April: A new breed of snake (deriving from the Crotalus adamanteus of the Southeastern United States) has been let loose among the confines of a local amusement park in Cincinnati, OH, and is the harbinger of a deadly new virus within its venom, one that is all but impossible to get rid of. Any attempts to rid the body of the venom will be futile. Once one has been bitten, all hope is lost. Symptoms include (but not limited to): -rapid heart rate increases -inescapable feelings of weightlessness -panic-induced euphoria (screaming, crying, laughter are common ailments) Any sharp pains, rattling, or vibrations are nonexistent when first bitten (and instead of a quiet hissing, the snake emits a loud roar when it attacks), but the toxins in the venom kick in after the victim escapes. Just like its eyes, the venom of said snake causes a trance-like state to where the victim is drawn back to the predator for multiple attacks; one strike is never enough. In extreme cases, prey who have fallen victim to the snake's attack have been diagnosed with the disease bolligeri mabillardis. This disease causes said prey to be drawn to creatures of a similar nature that reside across the continent; accounts of bolligeri mabillardis have been taken from locations such as Northern Ohio, Texas, Virginia, New Jersey, Illinois, Georgia and parts of Canada. Thus this warning is given out: Once you provoke the snake, prepare for a gut-wrenching experience unlike anything you have ever witnessed before. For those who have already been bitten (or who have contracted bolligeri mabillardis from the other creatures).....well, you were already warned now, weren't you? ...yeah, I got bored, so I wrote that up there. -

I know your post is Not Much, too. .....just had to. *quickie edit: I'm replying to your 5:31 post, not your 5:28 post.* -
How do you know this? Spending too much time at the park.

I know I arrived late to the party (the cops arrived to crash it as soon as I came), but: ^ THIS is why they stopped teaching Ebonics in the classrooms in the 90s. EDIT: It just dawned on me that I may actually know the person behind those posts. *shudder*

Prolly nothing major; I'd assume that the one on the right is the actual entrance to the queue. But I was just curious. -
.....that no one uses. It was built so that people didn't have to walk all the way to the restroom by Outback Shack if they were by the wavepool. The only problem is that the restroom by the Shack is like a friggin MAGNET; people still go up there from the pool, even though they know there's one right next to the wave/bodyboard pools. Oh, and by the way, the most crowded/popular restrooms in the park are: - Front Gate Restrooms inside the park (especially women's) - Restrooms opposite Outer Hank's (both sides) - Restrooms opposite Rivertown LaRosa's - Little Girls Restroom in Nick Universe (explained in previous post of mine) - Bathhouse restrooms (both sides) - Restrooms next to Outback Shack (particularly women's)
