  1. Not fair, PCW! Not fair! ...................................... Oh well.....at least we still get Nick Universe next year.... ...................................... Hey! Maybe we'll get MI:SS in 2007, too! There's always hope...
  2. Oh, sorry! Scroll down to the bottom and click on FREE. Then scroll down to the bottom again. Chancs ar you'll get what they call a reservation ticket. After that's finished, click where it says DOWNLOAD on circus_of_horrors_3d or something like that. And there you go!
  3. Sorry for the double post, but I got the video fixed. This time, you can play it on Windows Media Player, which makes it much easier to download and watch. Once again it's on Rapidshare, so here is the link: Circus of Horrors 3D
  4. Yeah. If you mean that black kid that had the camera and was trying to get the creepers to scare the girls, then yeah. 8:30-Headless Hollow Joining up with some new Rides friends of mine, we hopped on the train for a quick trip to the "Western Woods." Suddenly, though not surprisingly, the train apparently "broke down", leaving us to walk back to the main park-through the woods! I won't spoil the rest, but, trust me, this is one amazing ride! 8:45-Fear Street Nights Our next trip was to Coney Maul (where all of the creepers were) and to the last new maze, Fear Street. The facade for this had completely changed within the past few weekends, from a dark and foreboding mansion to a homely and unkempt single-family home. However, this proved to be quite an understatement, as we came to face-to-face with some nasty residents who didn't want us to leave. It pretty much was the original House of Darkness with some re-theming to R.L. Stine's Fear Street books. 9:10-Maze of Madness Hands down, this is my favorite maze of this year so far. There's no need to explain this maze in detail without giving out three simple items it is comprised of-chain-link fencing, mirrors, and strobe lights. Not to mention the fog and crazed lunatics running rampant through the place. Almost everyone in our group (seven was our entire group, though we had split up after Headless Hollow) had gotten scared good or got lost in here. More later. If not sooner.
  5. I believe originally, while waiting for the movie, there was a turntable that spun around revealing objects on the other side of the wall. Right now it is where the PT characters are located at in the Theater. At least that's what I think it is. I could be, and probably am, wrong.... -The RingMaster
  6. Actually, I was filming in one of the houses and a manager came in and instructed me to stop. I had heard from a member of entertainment that you were allowed to film so long as you don't use a flash or a light, but apparently that's not true. Were you at the Fear Street maze? Because that's what happened to me. Except she asked if I had a media badge, which I didn't and I didn't know that I was supposed to have one, so I said no, and she gave me an evil look and said that I couldn't film without a badge. So maybe it was just her, because I never had any other problems with the other ushers, and I do remember having trouble with that same person last year. So I can bring my camera in tomorrow and film, but just don't have any of my lights on? I already know that I have to turn the camera light off; it's just that I thought yesterday was the only day to film FearFest.
  7. ^It was great, even though there was hardly anyone there to begin with. I managed to get through all of the mazes except Massacre Manor. Speaking of which, I have a video of the Circus of Horrors 3D from last night. The video is pretty crappy considering I couldn't use my camera light, but it's good nonetheless. You'll need QuickTime to watch it. Here's a link to download it: Circus of Horrors 3D EDIT: I just tryed downloading this on my comp at home, and apparently, the file is corrupt. So I'll have to wait until Monday to get it fixed. Sorry.
  8. 7:45 Got dropped off at the bus stop and had to walk all the way to the front gate from the main road. I noticed that there were hardly any people here to begin with, probably from them not handing out enough tickets. The Eiffel Tower looked cool lit up, though. 8:00 I had just handed my ticket in and walked into International Street, which was DEAD. I guess everyone was already in the back of the park. As I made my way to the back, I ran into some old friends from Rides/ECO, namely Willie, Brandon, Brittany (IJ:ST), and Sarah (ECO). It was then that I joined some of the Rides crew members as we headed for the new area-Curse of Sleepy Hollow. 8:10-cornSTALKERS Already, I could see the fog rising from the floral clock, and screams had filled the air. I had seen Massacre Manor already from last year (originally Sleepy Hollow Horror), so it wasn't surprising. What WAS surprising, though, was walking through the new cornSTALKERS maze. The fog and darkness really helped keep a vast majority of the costumed characters well-hidden, especially one laying underneath a wagon, which got me and another girl pretty good. From there we headed for the train, and Headless Hollow. I'll have more soon when I get a chance to write. C U l8r. -The RingMaster
  9. 6:00, in front of the Nick Store (that way, you'll know it's me 'cause no one ever waits for people there). I'm going to sneak my camera in so I can get Fear Street and Massacre in, and hopefully re-film cornSTALKERS and Headless Hollow. -The RingMaster
  10. Bodda, you could have told me you were going, too. Oh well, I just spent my time ovr there with some friends from Rides/ECO. I was only able to get footage of cornSTALKERS, Headless Hollow and the Circus, but the Circus is the only one that turned out good. Hopefully, I'll get the videos up and running by this afternoon (I'll be working on it during my lab). Sorry. PS: Nic pics, Bodda! They look awesome! We should set up a PKIC get-together either tomorrow or next weekend. Who's up for it?
  11. Actually, cornSTALKERS mixes with the Curse of Sleepy Hollow theme as the scare zone in Rivertown. The main part of cornSTALKERS is the path in between Int. Street and Rivertown along Rvt. Lake; numerous scarecrows and drop boxes line that path, and it looks really neat (it'll look even better at night!). Guests headed for Headless Hollow aboard the train will exit at the Pumpkin Patch area (relatively close by the main park). They then will walk a little ways down and cross the train tracks over onto WWC's exit. On any given day when WWC is open, you'll see a large open space to the north of the observation deck. That is the entrance to Headless Hollow for FearFest. They will be having two trains (probably with only two or three cars) as the drop-off point is very early in the train ride. That's all I know for right now; you'll just have to wait until l8r to get more updates on FearFest '05!
  12. Says here in the Cincy Post artcile that the SpongeBob attraction "is somewhat a walk-through attraction." Is it just me, or is this a hint that there's more to the SpongeBob ride than Siebert and PKI are saying? "It will be typical of Disney or Universal type (theming) quality," he added. "Much more attention to detail, much more magic." Sarcasm: Yeah, that's what you said about IJ:ST. It also mentions that this Bikini Bottom attraction will replace the water maze, yet it sounds as if it'll take up more space than previously mentioned. Any guesses that the Nick Theater will be involved? Oh well, I have an hour and a half left before I leave for Dry Run. I'll chat l8r. -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  13. Hopefully, the third Friday in October. Depends of if I can get all the mazes on tape by next Saturday (not this upcoming Saturday). Should be able to get a vast majority of the mazes out of the way this weekend, though.
  14. Speaking of Dry Run Night, tonight is the first night in which I begin footage for SHRIEKshow, if anyone's wonderin (or if anyone actually cares). So I just want to kno who all is going to it tonight. In case you are, I'll be wearin a navy blue hoodie with dark green/black camera black for my camera (duh) if you want to say hi. So, lostgirl, I take it you are a part of Massacre Manor? If you are, how will I know which creepy monster thingy you are 'cause I want to say hi if and when I walk through MM. -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  15. That would be a pretty interesting site to see. If they can pull off Nick Universe with a high-quality caliber that can be seen in a Toon Lagoon or Suess Landing, then PKI can be called "Disney-esque." Here's a thought that you can chew on: Just realize that from 2001 to 2006 we have seen the most amount of family rides built by Paramount for Kings Island (save Tomb Raider and Delirium). All this can only mean one thing-PKI is saving up for something HUGE for thrill-seekers. Think about it-PKI realizs that, soon enough, someone will probably beat either The Beast or Son of Beast, but they don't want to place something big down right away. They need time to wait things out and watch to see what other companies are doing. In the meantime, the perfect opportunity to sit back and wait is to please the 2nd (though now 1st) demographic of park guests-families. Hence the original Nick Central of '01 and Boomerang Bay of '04 (Nick Universe is really the end result of liscesing issues with Hanna-Barbera). Now comes 2007-PKI's 35th anniversary, and the year that Coasterfest '07 (I'm not sure if that's the name for it) is hosted at Kings Island. Something tells me we could be seeing the either next generation of wooden/steel coaster hybrids or an even longer and more out-of-control wooden coaster than The Beast itself in 2007. There's a kind of fear in the forest breeze that says that a new monster could awake at any moment. Or maybe that's just me. I don't know; I'm just making it up as I go. -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  16. ^ They can't walk through the trough, there are wires along it that power the rapids that people can trip over. That's the only real reason as to why they can't let people walk through. -Only four more days until FearFest Dry Run! Thursday, September 29th
  17. Hauntguy's right-except that the train actually drops people off by the Pumpkin Patch area. They then walk a little ways down and cross the train tracks into Headless Hollow, which is White Water Canyon's exit. The strange thing is, though, for this attraction, they're using reservation tickets similar to IJ:ST in the pre-season. You'll go up to a kiosk (don't know where yet) and grab a ticket with a set time on it. Then, you take it to the train station to hop on. This, actually, is a good idea, because it will keep the lines for the train down a whole lot, mainly because as soon as you get off the train, you're pretty much walking through Headless Hollow as it is. I got to see them work during dress rehearsals along with them testing the fog machines around 5:00; a lot of the actors are in the wooded area behind the wooden fence along the bridge, with only a few on the bridge itself. Still, HH looks to be a great maze for FearFest 2005! One last thing, the WWC queue is well-hidden; the only thing you'll be able to see are the lights that make up the maze. Everything else is hidden behind the trees and the fog enveloping them. If you think walking through Rivertown in the dark now is scary, wait till FearFest actually begins, when the Headless Horseman starts lurking around! -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  18. Still.... This Avatar coaster sounds like a cool concept, as it's supposedly a first-of-its-kind coaster (then again, so was IJ:ST). I just hope its got some neat indoor/outdoor elements and will be similar to Adventure Express. Now THAT would be cool. The RingMaster gives his regards...
  19. ^Hopefully, the Avatar coaster will include free-spinning cars and it'll be longer and have more elements like IJ:ST. Still, I don't care. We get two new family coasters in two years, and they're both high-quality attractions (well, IJ is, not sure about Avatar). No point in complaining about that.
  20. Its true that Disney/Universal spend a lot more money on their attractions (and it shows) but I would be willing to bet that they have a lot more money than Paramount Parks to begin with. Yes, PKI could do more with the themeing they have and will have, and they shouldn't compare their attractions to Disney's, but they're working on it. Hopefully they will continue to improve and actually keep up their current themeing (Top Gun, Adventure Express, Fight of Fear, Tomb Raider, Scooby Doo, Italian Job, general park themeing, International Street, etc.) ^CK's rite; they do have a lot more money than we do. I just hope thy change their minds about the avatar ride and re-theme to something more people would enjoy and understand better (hence, SpongeBob's Boating School or even a Jimmy Neutron coaster!).
  21. I was actually wondering what was going to be Nick Theater's fate... So I guess this means we'll be seeing the characters walking around the new area instead of just staying in one spot then?
  22. ^ Either that or a much smaller hybrid of Drop Zone and Sling Shot combined. I've seen a ride like this at Six Flags Magic Mountain as a part of their Looney Tunes kiddie area, I just can't remember the name of the ride. Vortex: This is Paramount Parks we're talking about. When they say they put together "multi-million" dollar attraction, really they're scared to say that they're only shelling out 25-30 million dollars at the most (that's only an estimated guess, don't get mad at me if I'm wrong); that's why they don't specify how much they've literally spent. Unlike Disney or Universal, where they spend at least 60-75 million dollars on their rides. Most noticeably Revenge of the Mummy and the upcoming Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom. Also, only three out of the six are totally new (Phantom, Avatar coaster, and SpongeBob FreeFall). The others are just r-themes (Dora's railway, SpongeBob walk-through, Blue's jump-around-the-house ride).
  23. I think that if they did re-theme WWC, they would elaborate more on the original CarWash idea, with all of the Nicktoons coming together. The name would be more like NickToons Canyon. Or they could re-theme Wild Thornberrys and give it the name NickToons Falls. Just imagine a massive Mount Rushmore mountain greeting kids into Universe from Rivertown, but with Tommy, SpongeBob, Timmy, and Dora as the faces on the front. It could then be like Splash Mountain at Disney, just Nickelodeon-style.
  24. No one ever confirmed that the Ghoster Coaster was leaving. Read the Cincy Post article at the top of page 2. one of them definitely mentions Ghoster Coaster leaving after this year, with the avatar coaster replacing it. The other new attraction is a new movie for Action FX Theater. That's all.
