  1. They could've at least came up with Nickelodeon Studios, KI. Seeing as how PKI is all about the best of Hollywood Entertainment. I'm surprised they aren't adding more movie props to their parks; it would make sense seeing movie memorabilia at a "movie park."
  2. Who here actually voted for Crash Course Boating School to be built for next year's Nick Central Expansion? Skippy: No, they don't read the survey comments. Hordes of people have asked for more heavily-themed rides, not to mention an Addams Family Coaster and FOF being re-themed to Soundwave, yet Paramount Parks has the mindset of Six Flags-guests don't care about darkrides; they want coasters. Yeah, I'm still rooting for PKI, but it wouldn't surprise me to see all of the Paramount Parks sold to Disney or Universal the way PP is treating them.
  3. ^That stinks. I was hoping for the Crash Course Boating School, not some walk-through! I thought SpongeBob was the most popular character on Nick, not Avatar? I was at least expecting this new coaster to be themed to the Fairly OddParents. Oh, well. I'm gonna be ****ed if PKD or PGA gets the Crash Course Boating School ride for their Nick Central expansions and we don't. *SARCASM: PGA can have our IJ:ST in exchange for Crash Course Boating School. We don't want our Stunt Track any more. *
  4. ^Of course, that's pretty much a given... I'm crossing my fingers on a new flat for Coney Maul!!!
  5. The only NEW ride maybe the rumored new movie going in Action FX Theater next year.
  6. At least two of these rides will be built: SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School Nick CarWash Fairly OddCoaster Nick Space Surfer Since South Pie will be gone after this year (not sure about Ghoster Coaster, though), at least one of the three big rides will be built: SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School Nick CarWash Fairly OddCoaster Rumors are spreading that Nick Theater and the Water Maze could go. If that is true, then one of the two water-themed rides will be built (to make up for the water maze loss): SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School Nick CarWash If only Nick Theater goes, then either of these two rides will be placed in its position: Nick CarWash Nick Space Surfer If SpongeBob 3D does not make a return next year, chances are that SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School will be one of the two rides built. With the sudden removal of the Flying Eagles/re-theme to Phantom Flyers for Carowinds, chances are that Nick Space Surfer will be one of the two rides built. Since SpongeBob is the #1 show on Nickelodeon, with Fairly OddParents pulling a close 2nd, chances are that SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School & Fairly OddCoaster will be built. Since a water-based theme is more prevalent in Nick Central as of now, chances are that SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School & Nick CarWash will be built. RingMaster's Guesses for 2006's Nick Central Expansion: SpongeBob SquarePants: Crash Course Boating School Nick CarWash These two ride ideas from the concept survey of last year sounded the most intriging to me. The ongoing rumor of the Antique Cars being modified for the CarWash also got me to chose it for one of the rides. Also, for me, the Space Surfer could just get re-painted and re-themed as a new flat for Coney Mall in the upcoming years.
  7. Don't worry. You'll be safe from the mud. Just not from what lurks inside the tunnel... Going through there is a completely different experience in daylight; you're just not used to seeing all the behind-the-scenes stuff (or how relatively thin the PsychoPath area really is in terms of width). One more thing-if you guys wanted to know about Headless Hollow and the train, here's a bit of info........ .......... .....Bring some hiking boots. You'll need 'em. -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  8. Maybe, maybe not... (but most likely, maybe... ) -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  9. The entire Rivertown area is the Curse of Sleepy Hollow. Massacre Manor is inside that white tent behind the Showplace Stage. cornSTALKERS is the path that connects Rivertown and International Street that goes around IJ:ST. I got a chance to peek inside both Massacre Manor and PsychoPath yesterday. It was pretty cool walking through PP during the daylight. Massacre Manor has remained unchanged (though it seemed more crowded due to finishing touches they have to work on), but it still looks gorgeous. PsychoPath has remained the same with a few updates. Namely the addtion of three new scenes. I can't flat-out tell you what they are up front (for the sake of one's job at a certain park...), but I will say this-epect to see some form of a little girl running through the woods; the doll remains are a dead giveaway. Oh, yeah, and at least ONE aspect of Curse of the Crypt from last year has made it into PsychoPath (or it appeared to be). It should be an obvious choice if you went through the Crypt last year, but can you figure it out? -The RingMaster gives his regards...
  10. The train is Headless Hollow. Unfortunately, telling you what actually happens will result in a paradox in the space time continuom. That, and the fact that it would ruin the whole experience. All I can say is that Maureen is right-you will absolutely LOVE HH, and it will be an experience you will NOT forget. cornSTALKERS, I think, is that path that leads past the Paradise Island stand up to Rivertown Pizza. I'm guessing because, today, they were setting up massive amounts of hay barrels and corn stalks along that path, most of it covering up that white fence that borders IJ:ST. As for Coney Maul (yes, that is the name of Coney's FearFest transformation), more decorations are going up, and one of the gardens in the middle of the path has been overrun by tarantulas and hanging skeletons! AHHHHHH! So apparently, the real "fun" begins at 6:00 on both Fridays and Saturdays, with the park opening up at 5:00 on Fridays. Can't wait, but I'll be working at the park again tomorrow, so, hopefully, I'll dig up some more info for everyone here. -The RingMaster gives his regards....
  11. The chainsaw-wielding madmen of the PsychoPath are a riot. During one of the dress rehearsal when we went through PP, one of them couldn't get his to work (mind you he was only a foot away from us). The funny part came when he started yelling at us with, "Don't worry! I'll get this thing started up, and, when I do, you're gonna get it!" Oh, yeah, this will be my second year, with last year working at FearFest being my first.
  12. Actually, the clown is from Knott's Berry Farm's Halloween Haunt in California. The maze in question is the Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns from Outer Space in 3D (or C3 from Outer Space 3D). Go to this website at the bottom for the Haunt 2004 coverage; you'll see what I mean when I say they are the best at what they do. Halloween Haunt 2004 Coverage
  13. cornSTALKERS all the way. I've got a thing for creepy scarecrow monster thingys. I'm also a fan of big hairy werewolf monsters and freakishly funny demented clown people thingys. So I'd also vote for the Circus. I'd also vote for Night of the Werewolf if there was an actual maze devoted entirely to werewolves. Can you say 'hot-yet-hairy Little Red Riding Wolf wearing a blood-red mini-skirt?' Yowza!!!
  14. ^I was rollin on the floor 'cause of that, Ackbar. Idiots-0. That was classic. Let me get back to breathing normally, now... Graffiti on wooden fence-roughly $250 to replace (estimate) Chewing gum on tree-roughly $325 to replace (estimate) Gloating about putting your name on park property-roughly $600 in vandalism fees (estimate) Official Dumbass Liscense-priceless (though an O.D.L. card costs roughly $17-estimate) There are some things stupidity can't buy. For everything else, there's common decency. *sorry bout the MasterCard-ripoff rant; I just had to put that in there*
  15. It's like all this is going over his head or something. Whoosh! "Just stop talking you are really getting on people's last straws. " ^ I second that motion. Maybe we ought to just delete this thread.
  16. Coming from a kid, I can understand why he's so psyched about writing his name all over park property. Any normal 11 or 12-year-old wouldn't understand the meaning and consequences of vandalism and graffiti. "Im sorry! I didn't know it was such a big deal!" Not much of an excuse. They have billboards specifically explaining the consequences of defacing park property, and all the park maps have a list of rules as soon as you open up the map. "I bet in one time in your life, YOU have disrespected your parents!" What does that have to do with writing graffiti on a ride? "blah blah blah... is all I hear..." That's liable to get you banned from the forums; watch what you post. *Sry about the 11/12-year-old reference; you just looked like you were roughly between those ages in the pic*
  17. Anyone remember last year's media preview night when all of Sleepy Hollow Horror's scareactors ran around Coney Maul 'cause their maze wasn't ready yet? It was hilarious seeing the Headless Horseman getting chased by his own victims! In a little less than two weeks, I'll be going to this year's media preview night as the start of my DVD project: ShriekShow! If you guys want, I can get some footage of fellow PKIC members in the middle of the madness Kings Island calls FearFest '05. I just have to figure out who all is going to come to the media preview. The set date is September 29th from 8pm to 10pm, I believe. Just respond to this or PM me so I can get a list of who will show up. Other than that, I am psyched for FearFest! This WILL be the best one yet!!!
  18. I highly doubt they'll build another hyper coaster after the mess with Son of Beast. They're more interested in family attractions, with a little bit of intense thrills put into the mix. That Screamin Swing idea is good, considering Kennywood is getting one next year...
  19. Not cool, dude. You think Firefall and Volcano were cheap? You think the upcoming Stunt Coaster will be cheap? I'm from Ohio and have never been to Kings Dominion, but I give them respect because they try their hardest to build and repair attractions that the guests like. And Firefall PKD is right; you can go to any state and find a large crowd of a**holes. But I don't think Firefall's theme is half-assed; I really like the fire and water effects and the number of flips on the ride. All the Paramount Parks have graffiti problems they have to deal with; they don't need guests "commenting" on how bad and cheap they are. If you don't like what they're doing, then by all means, go bug Six Flags; I'm sure they need all the help they can get. EDIT: I'm sorry about the hit on Six Flags; I just think they are really screwing themselves over, especially with the recent announcement of Six Flags Astroworld closing down forever.
  20. Is there any chance that the Nickelodeon Celebration Parade will start at PKI next year? Because I thought that it started in Carowinds this year to celebrate the new Nick Central expansion. Just a thought... I guess we can all just assume that at least one water-themed ride will be built next year (Crash Course Boating School v. Nick CarWash). I also think that we could get the Space Surfer next year, because there really isn't that much space to put two massive rides in HBL/Nick Central (at least not that I know of). Me personally? Either a combination of Crash Course Boating School and Nick CarWash, or Crash Course Boating School and Space Surfer. Why? SBSP 3D isn't coming back next year (still not sure of what will take its place), so another SpongeBob ride is the most logical idea. Plus, Space Surfer could be a good replacement for Flying Eagles leaving us for Carowinds (I still miss that ride ). But that's jut my idea. Okay, I'll shut up now....
  21. Torture Tower? More like Route 666. The line was 2 hours long an hour before it opened in '03. ^ And then having a four-hour wait when the ride actually opened. Do you think it could've been possible for them to re-theme IJ:ST to a new version of Route 666, or is it too new to be re-themed for FearFest this early? Now I just have to figure out where cornSTALKERS will be located at. I can't wait to come face-to-face with demented pumpkin/scarecrow monster thingys.
  22. Capacity would probably be a major concern for the designers if they actally wanted to pull off a train breaking down in the middle of nowhere. For one, they would have to have at least two trains running; one train is in the middle of the track and has "broken down", and the other train is in the station. Second, I think some of the train cars would have to be removed, leaving only one or two cars after the engine; too many people would be going through a regular maze like PsychoPath with a full train, unless they have a walkthrough fear zone like Back Lot Bloodbath or Slaughter Street at PCW's FearFest.
  23. I was right all along; cornSTALKERS is coming! Now the only question is where cornSTALKERS will be located at in Rivertown. I'm guessing it'll probably be behind Tomb Raider; there seems to be a lot of extra space back there for a maze of that caliber. I hope that all of Headless Hollow won't be on the train; I was kind of expecting guests to be dropped off at the second station by BB's entrance and then walk back to the main park in the Western Woods. If it was like that, it would sound more like a fear zone, like Slaughter Street at PCW's FearFest. But, I could be wrong (usually, that's always the case)...
  24. ^The fire effects rock at night b/c they light up the entire area along with the police cars.
  25. It's an OK ride right now, but once all of the effects kick in (and once they actually fix the ride), then it'll be better than it originally was. Really, the point of the ride is to test out those surf curves in the police scene and the stair effect in the subway. They're just not working to their fullest extent. I believe originally IJ:ST wasn't supposed to open until mid-June because of adding in all the extra effects, but they moved it up to mid-May because they wanted to prove how amazing the ride would be. Now they've screwed themselves over with the helicopter not working (it doesn't move up and down like it originally did), the on-board audio messed up (the speakers are too far back and absolutely no sound is coming out), and the stair effect not put in (it was supposed to be put in around July but never got around to it. To top that off, they had to re-work the beginning helix because it was somewhat unstable. Enough griping, it's an OK ride. Sure, it's got some kinks they need to work out (okay, a LOT of kinks), but it's a great family ride that everyone'll enjoy. I know I did. I just wish it would've lived up to the hype that PKI gave it.
