With the change to floor-less trains, is the clocked speed of Rougarou expected to be faster, slower, or the same as when it was Mantis? Also, will any trim brakes be removed? I was always under the impression they were installed to ease G forces on the rider's legs.

Backyard Ball.... a place behind the park where parents take their little ones to cry. .a chapel-like building on picnic grounds, usually used for weddings where the ceremony makes you weepy. the VERY FIRST outdoor area, in back of the park. where couples can go to make-out during their visit to said park. ......Cedar Fair's version of Bocce. -

As far as I'm concerned, make an area strictly for bouncing basketballs - and they can call it whatever they want - and get a trademark for it, too! Then, keep those f**king balls out of the park and out of my way before they cause a migraine or, worse yet, a fall! -
Hey - it's FUN

I should ask... Is there a "Fast Boo Pass" I can buy to get all the boos out of the way quickly so I can ride the coasters?
-
To me, it's just yet another way to make an extra buck. I don't think the haunt is for kids - and parents ught to know better. I don't want to get booed, so i stay away.

Work Begins on Mantis' Transformation

True - I don't. Matter of fact, I feel as if someone is pulling the floor out from under me! -
Work Begins on Mantis' Transformation
Hank replied to Hank's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I am correct - It is still Mantis, therefore "work begins on Mantis' transformation" - in order to make it Rougarou. -
In today's Toledo Blade.... http://www.toledoblade.com/Retail/2014/10/02/Coaster-painters-have-close-brush-with-Rougarou.html

Maybe it was that noise a coaster makes when it's sinking?

vintage KI parking signs at Cinci Comic Expo last weekend
Hank replied to jandyb79's topic in Kings Island
Maybe I'm wrong, but I seem to remember different ones that were in color - one in particular was Penelope Pit-stop. Am I dreaming this, r am I right> If so, I'd like to find out about one of those. -
Well, they painted Top Gun and called it Flight Deck. They painted it again and call it The Bat. Same trains, same ride experience (unless you think the paint makes it smoother...which brings to mind.....if a coaster is re-tracked, is it the same coaster?....it has a different ride experience.....so, if the trains are changed - as in The Beast and now on Mantis - I will rely on Terp's infinite, and finite, wisdom). My answer......Terp, I'm waiting!

So what woodie at Kings Island would you want to get an RMC treatment?

Thank you for clarifying. -

They are new coasters. What are you trying to get at? I don't understand. -

Until people get tired of it - hence, calling it a fad. When something becomes so routine, it also becomes stale. Like I said, put fun into new coasters and you can't go wrong. -

RMC can have Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown.......and all the Dippin' Dot carts, too! IF (and I know that "if" really doesn't apply here because NO ONE at Cedar Fair is that stupid) any work were to be done in the way of modifications to any of our woodies, the general public would just go along with it - like lambs to the slaughter. Only people like us would be upset. I firmly believe that this RMC treatment stuff is just a fad, like stand-ups, floor-less, suspended, and other one-trick-pony coasters. Add fun (and I don't mean FUN) to a design and you'll have a winner. (This is strictly my opinion, even though I'm right this time) -
Opinions, opinions, opinions. We have been down this very road before - many times.
