  1. Give it a few more years and you'll start to hear brain/marbles rattles!
  2. HOWEVER.....that doesn't mean that another coaster company couldn't come up with a similar "twist" on things. My guess would be a new coaster similar to Six Flag's Batman The Ride - only bigger. Besides, room is scarce at the Point!
  3. According to the Six Flags announcements, RMC is EXCLUSIVE to Six Flags. That is not to say it will hold true forever, but that's what the ads say.
  4. Ah, yes - the return of Winterfest!
  5. I also heard that WindSeeker quit looking for breezes, so it's going, too!
  6. I just never got into upsidedown stuff. I can't feel anything so to me it's a waste of money spent to twist track - money that could have been used to give other experiences on a coaster....taller lift hill, longer ride, more air time hills, etc.
  7. I'll take a good woodie any day!

  8. I think RMC is old news anymore. Once you've been flipped, it's all the same. Besides - all of the great feelings that a wooden coaster gives are gone. The S&S thing (Batman The Ride) looks interesting. I wondered how they were going to give the idea some length, but they did. The 360 degree circle thingys are great - the thrill of these cannot be duplicated by other current rides, so until then, they have an earned spot in the amusement business. Haunted houses, such as the one being built, will have a finite lifespan - unlike the old-style fun houses which never go out of style. Once new technology is developed, and this happens quite fast, the new stuff will be out-dated and seem pong-ish. And just how many more water parks can the country sustain? The market is flooded (no pun intended) and something is gonna fold-up soon.
  9. Even if this story was true and BG built such a thing, it STILL wouldn't satisfy 90% of the people on this site.
  10. Yes, but after you ask, she says yes, and it's all downhill and twisty after that!
  11. I would think popping the question would REALLY be difficult on Firehawk. Now, as far as "other" things popping, I've heard of this happening on Viking Fury and Diamondback (but I don't think those were necessarily marriage proposals!)
  12. What I want to know - and I want facts - Six Flags says the ride stopped as it was designed to, for safety reasons. Are there brakes along the circuit, or is that just an answer given by the park to pacify the media and us?
  13. I like it - Call the new "partnership" Seven Flags. Of course, the last flag should be green for "GO" (except on the rides that are always down - then, maybe, yellow? And checkered flags at the end of the day when you're leaving!)
  14. Being serious.... There could be lots of new things happening in the coaster world in the coming years. Sit back, wait and see.
  15. ^ Tell Fairiewench - she likes haunts!
  16. There are some things in life not worth a prayer - Shoot the Rapids comes to mind! "You will draw water, joyfully, from the springs of salvation" (Isaiah 12:3) "I am not a crook" (Richard M. Nixon) "Hey, you gotta eat" (Richard Kinzel)
  17. ^ I don't have the right letters after my name, even though I've always been right here!
  18. Hey - they could replace all the "boos" with midget wrestling animatronics - even use Red Gold ketchup, doctored-up, for the blood! THEN add your booze and voila - instant new hit attraction that beats Pirates of the Caribbean any day!
  19. Returning to topic... This type of ride, should it be a full circuit thing, would require a few lift hills as the weight of the train is different with each boat load and, with the various other hills needed to keep the cars flipping, there would not be enough space to have the track long enough to do the expected outcome justice - therefore requiring extra lift hills to keep the train going. Another example of what I'm getting at are the Arrow suspended coasters. There's not a whole lot of ride between lift hills because that's as far as it can go (for the times).
  20. I don't usually comment on things like this, but I will go with The Beast because it has been around a lot longer than most of the others and it will be around a lot longer than most of the others.
  21. I seem to recall a wooden post of ABC gum somewhere in The Beast's queue - or was it in the queue for the Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point? Or was it at both?
  22. Can we bring our own gum into the park with us AND are we allowed to chew it in the parking lot? Or must we buy special Cedar Fair gum - possibly Red Gold brand? Hey - a new idea...ketchup flavored gum! What will they think of next? Blue "fake" ice cream?
  23. ^ I know - I was just yankin' chains.
  24. I hope it returns, refurbished in such a way that it no longer goes around in a circle - so that I can actually ride it! (I puke on rides that go in circles)
  25. I never said Don was REQUIRED to do anything! He just usually makes a post about things when the speculation starts to run wild. Maybe he wants us to roll with it. Or shake.....or rattle....
