Well, I hate to admit it, but the Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point has given me more rides than any other coaster. The first full year it was open, I was able to ride 18 times in a row without getting off. This was during the first week of June, and back then, schools were still in session. During those 18 rides, most of the time I was the only person on the train! My mother, who was watching me ride, was getting ill just imagining what the ride felt like. Now, you must remember - the only other coaster in the park was the Blue Streak and the advertisement for the CCMR stated that you should "warm up on the Blue Streak before attempting a ride on the CCMR". SO - there was reason to fear this new ride and there was reason to get ill watching it go through its circuit. Later in my teaching days, I felt that the CCMR was so docile, I graded final semester tests while riding when I went with my 8th graders. How times change......

Sad. Very sad.

All of this divulging of stuff ahead of the official announcement is like opening all your gifts a few days before December 25th. Plus - when something official does get released, it could be a tad different or a lot different. Just because Tom, Dick or Harry can make a video of a coaster with their computer doesn't mean squat to me, nor should it to you. Quite frankly, I'm sick of it. There - that's my "official" words.

Pretty soon, there's gonna be a park just for rides nobody on KIC likes. We'll call it Bi*ch City. Instead of a complaint Department, there will be a Compliment Booth - and you can go there to tell the pretty girl that you had a simply wonderful ride on....whatever. Of course, this will leave our beloved park completely vacant because once anyone from KIC complains about a ride, it gets removed and sent to the new park. What a way to make extra bucks for Cedar Fair. And - they can take all of those games that award basketballs to the new park. Everyone there is complaining about things anyway, so let them be the ones to get the headaches from the sounds of bouncing balls. 2016 - I can't wait!

Yawn.

Just a few words..... I love this ride, although due to current size and swelling, I cannot ride it. They should make a Son of Monster - you know....bigger than daddy, faster and taller than daddy....maybe even having a loop!....there are so many possibilities!
-
Very nice! Thank you so much (from a person who can't go this year).

Funny, but isn't that foot thing the same color as Rougarou ?

I would attend. I'd need my motorized scooter, but I'd be there. I wonder if they make snow tires for that thing?

My bad. I just remember the comment about spinning stuff 'cause it relates to me! It's getting so that I can't even look at the rides that spin! Thank you for correcting me.
-
As Terp said - no spinning!

In the past, when owned by various groups, King's Island received many prototype rides. Cedar Fair has not had good luck with these kinds of things - so my thinking is that our park will get something which will have a new twist on an old theme. That being said, if a concept has proven itself, there is no end to the different possibilities the ride designers can create. I will be happy with whatever comes our way, with the more creative and innovate being most highly favored!

I vote for a wooden coaster - doesn't have to be the tallest or fastest, just fun - and have high capacity (therefore, lengthy!)

^ Ah!
-
Why the modification (and headrests)?
-
Why? I say bring back the old Beast trains and to hell with the headrests!
-
Thank you, Don!
-
I would like to have more "landscaping" on both sides of Beast's track length. I think it needs to be "buried" more than it is currently. There's way too much stuff seen when you're on the ride - and you don't have the same experience the ride once offered when first built.

Also looking for... * New ride to replace the sinking one * something built with the green Intamin track that was seen heading to the park some time ago * Camper village Don spoke of last year

A refurbished Shake, Rattle & Roll should be in the announcements. New Flying Eagle's would be a very pleasant addition!
