Funny rumors
I heard an April Fool's story several years ago that I-71, in front of King's Island, was going to be closed for half the day while workers moved the Eiffel Tower across the street to it's new location. (I guess they must have put it back where it used to be, eh?)

*VIDEO* Fox 19 Goes behind the Scenes of The Beast
I usually don't pay much attention, but I couldn't help notice the front sign on The Beast train did not say Paramount - it just said King's Island. Was it always like that?

Cleared land behind Son of Beast
It's probably for a Wal Mart!

POLL
The "drop" just before the end - gets me everytime!

Places to eat outside the park
There is a Perkin's Pancake House at I-71 and King's Mill Road. I highly reccomend it - especially the pancakes! (much much better than Bob Evans - and Perkin's coffee is better too). Like already said, there's a bunch of places there, or the next exit South. Anything your hearts desire.

What's Your Favorite Cedar Point Rollercoaster?
For a wood coaster, Blue Streak is tops - hands up or down. For a steel coaster, Magnum XL200 is my #1. All of the coasters at CP are good - even the lame ones, like the Mine Ride (Woodstok's Express is better!) and Mean Streak, which is a beautiful coaster to look at. If the Iron Dragon went as fast as PKI's Top Gun, if would be great. If you're thin and short, all the others are ok. But, if you're like me - 6'4" and 280 pounds, don't waste your money going to CP. You won't fit on anything - and I don't know why when I can ride everything at PKI and other parks without any problem whatsoever.

PKI History
The monorail ride was free the first few years,

2006 PKI Park Map - ?
Is that pdf park map working yet? I can't get either to download.

The Italian Job Turbo Coaster
I REALLY think that, since the Italian aspect is present in all forms of this ride, instead of getting splashed with water near the end of the ride, they should fill the pond with vino!!!! Let's keep the "thematic approach" as much as possible.

New Name for Beastie
According to the RCDB - check it out for yourselves - The Beastie is now called Fairly Odd Coaster.

Racer
A new coat of paint would be good for Racer. The original 3 color job was very neat. Maybe they could even try a new color combo - just for kicks.

The Bat Promotional Video
Watching the video - it all came back to me. WOW! I got to ride The Bat 3 times its opening year. (I will be 47 next week, so do more math! - and what a nice present for my B-day - this video) Anyway, I was old enough to make good reviews of things and this coaster was truly amazing. Yup, Top Gun is faster, but this had character. It's too bad that a few modifications could not have been made and the ride kept going.

your experience on IJST
I really enjoyed this ride. It is different than other rides - hard to put into words, but different. It was very fun, extremely smooth, well paced, and interesting to look at. The cars/trains are cute and roomy. My only complaint is that the ride is too short, but then all of the rides are too short, right?

SOB closed for the season?
On that note about TOGO and the King Cobra car, I wonder if the Taxi Jam train would work on SOB?

Action 180 Theater?
Yup - I got sick in there too! The "ride" in the baby buggy rolling down hill on a city street was cool and the short "ride" on the roller coaster was OK too! But when that crop dusting plane made turns, it really got to me. It WAS air-conditioned in there and you did sit on the floor, but it was a great idea. The movie was a bit blurry though.

RAPTORS CLONE!
A clone would be identical to the original. Look closely - it's a bit different than Raptor.

Reptar Pictures?
Polaroid is an INSTANT picture - develops in 60 seconds. Kodak cameras were known as INSTAMATICS - the film required developing in a lab. What I often wondered, since you pre-paid for the picture on the log ride - what happened if it didn't come out? Or if a bird flew in front of the camera when the shot was being taken? Or some chick flashed her "you know whats" on the down side of the hill? (there is a web site loaded with pictures of females flashing their "you know whats" on Splash Mountain at Disney - I believe the site is called Flash Mountain!)

Reptar Pictures?
Wild Thornberry's had a photo thing before any other ride at the park (when it was Kings Mill). They use to put a flag on your boat if you wanted a picture and the people at the photo booth would take a Polaroid of your log as it was coming down the hill. Anyone else remember that? And as far as the pads on Reptar, they move around to accomodate various sized people, such as myself. So, I'm not complaining!

8/25 No Lines
On my trip the first week of August, the Wednesday was a walk on day, but the Thursday had lines - not BAD lines, but lines. A park employee told me that usually Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are slower, and I guess I can understand that to a point. Anyway - that's my 2 cents.

Sleepy Hollow
I saw a big temporary tent fort the Nick parade stuff. Is this what you're talking about?

Screaming Demon
As a bit of trivia... I believe at one time the Screamin' Demon was either named or misprinted somewhere with the name Steamin' Demon. Then, they got rid of the adjective. Anyone else remember this? It might have even been printed on a park map - the ones they give you at the entrance.
