  1. The program sometimes doesn't run properly - and that's usually when I'm on it, so it really becomes a personal thing - but that's my reason.
  2. Tomb Raider - it's so stupid!
  3. Oh - if they're gonna move Corkscrew to PKI, they might as well take Dragster too. Sounds silly? (So does moving the Corkscrew!)

    Racers

^ this is true. A REAL headchopper would be a track under a track. Racers ran under supports of the lift hill and others. They must use magic these days to keep the hills from falling, eh?

    Racers

I was on the backwards one when it was still forwards - many, many times. I even have 8mm film on-ride movies of it! Back then, they let you take a camera on anything - no laws or restrictions. And the head choppers were still in place near the final hills coming into the station.
  6. These days, with all the cut-backs and penny-pinching, I would't be surprised if you see a truck load or two of White-Out heading into the parking lots of Paramount parks near the end of the year! (just trying to spread a little humor this morning, ok?)

    Funny rumors

I heard an April Fool's story several years ago that I-71, in front of King's Island, was going to be closed for half the day while workers moved the Eiffel Tower across the street to it's new location. (I guess they must have put it back where it used to be, eh?)
  8. I usually don't pay much attention, but I couldn't help notice the front sign on The Beast train did not say Paramount - it just said King's Island. Was it always like that?

    POLL

The "drop" just before the end - gets me everytime!
  10. There is a Perkin's Pancake House at I-71 and King's Mill Road. I highly reccomend it - especially the pancakes! (much much better than Bob Evans - and Perkin's coffee is better too). Like already said, there's a bunch of places there, or the next exit South. Anything your hearts desire.
  11. For a wood coaster, Blue Streak is tops - hands up or down. For a steel coaster, Magnum XL200 is my #1. All of the coasters at CP are good - even the lame ones, like the Mine Ride (Woodstok's Express is better!) and Mean Streak, which is a beautiful coaster to look at. If the Iron Dragon went as fast as PKI's Top Gun, if would be great. If you're thin and short, all the others are ok. But, if you're like me - 6'4" and 280 pounds, don't waste your money going to CP. You won't fit on anything - and I don't know why when I can ride everything at PKI and other parks without any problem whatsoever.
  12. The monorail ride was free the first few years,
  13. Is that pdf park map working yet? I can't get either to download.
  14. I REALLY think that, since the Italian aspect is present in all forms of this ride, instead of getting splashed with water near the end of the ride, they should fill the pond with vino!!!! Let's keep the "thematic approach" as much as possible.
  15. According to the RCDB - check it out for yourselves - The Beastie is now called Fairly Odd Coaster.
  16. Drop Zone tower gets stuck on top with you on it! Lose whole day at PKI but collect own free PKI-opoly game at gift shop on way out of park late that night.

    POV for IJST

Are there any POV videos for IJST?
  18. Natural gas leak/your fart combination cause roof to come off of Flight of Fear, creating new outdoor ride. Collect $200 and recieve extra $200 sign-on bonus from park engineering department.

    Racer

A new coat of paint would be good for Racer. The original 3 color job was very neat. Maybe they could even try a new color combo - just for kicks.
  20. Watching the video - it all came back to me. WOW! I got to ride The Bat 3 times its opening year. (I will be 47 next week, so do more math! - and what a nice present for my B-day - this video) Anyway, I was old enough to make good reviews of things and this coaster was truly amazing. Yup, Top Gun is faster, but this had character. It's too bad that a few modifications could not have been made and the ride kept going.
  21. I really enjoyed this ride. It is different than other rides - hard to put into words, but different. It was very fun, extremely smooth, well paced, and interesting to look at. The cars/trains are cute and roomy. My only complaint is that the ride is too short, but then all of the rides are too short, right?
  22. On that note about TOGO and the King Cobra car, I wonder if the Taxi Jam train would work on SOB?
  23. Yup - I got sick in there too! The "ride" in the baby buggy rolling down hill on a city street was cool and the short "ride" on the roller coaster was OK too! But when that crop dusting plane made turns, it really got to me. It WAS air-conditioned in there and you did sit on the floor, but it was a great idea. The movie was a bit blurry though.
