  1. Sorry, back on topic, as I asked before: "Did anyone get any pictures or footage of the IJST from either of the tours held this weekend and last weekend?
  2. ^Yes, I mean Tokyo DisneySea, its quit possibly the best theme park it the world The attention to detail is outstanding and being the most expensive Disney Park to date (quit possibly ever) I don't see anything matching it any time soon! Not to mention it was designed by my most favorite theme park designers in the world at Kirk Design Inc.
  3. You're absolutly right Ryan, IOA, or Universal for that matter, would never stoop to Disneys' level and create some cheap-ass carnival area like AK's Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama or CA's A Bug's Land Although, like I said in one of my posts that got deleted, IOA was outdone the day TDS opened!
  4. Thanks for clearing somethings up thejoker8388 but I still stand by what I said (it would make things more convenient) beast37, when you rode the IJST were the effects running? If so, how were they?
  5. I'm sorry but can someone please explain to me why my posts just keep disappearing? Maybe someone can pm me and explain how my post goes against the PKIC guidlines the next time they have the urge to delete/edit my post! On a second note, does anyone have pictures from either last weekends' or this weekends' tours? Whats the effects in the tunnel sequence, do you get wet? Thanks in advance!
  6. I will have to disagree with you on that my good sir! The Italian Job looks awsome and will be pretty decent, NOT CRAP, and it's unfair to compair the Italian Job to one of the greatest coasters of all time
  7. Actually, its not a photo, its an artisits renduring of The Racer on a souvineer postcard. Very interesting, nice find!
  8. Great find! I'm glad to see PKI get a mini-flash site for it's 2005 addition like the other Paramount Parks (a nice one at that). I like the recent trend Paramount Parks has been following with the addition these mini-flash sites showing off their latest additions
  9. I heard on The Secrets of WDW from the Trave Channel that each car has a computer 5x as powerful as the computers in airplanes
  10. They still have more work to be done, think about it (it comes close to rolling back without people). I'm still looking forward to more landscaping BTW, nice pics and vid (I like the new entrance sign and Greaters looks great, welcome Starbucks!)
  11. jmceowen I'm assuming you saw "R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse" because 03' was the year Bush Gardens Tampa Bay replaced Dolphin Theater with the Timbucktu Theater (4D Theater). I saw it, the show was pretty good (about on par with "Pirates", the show thejoker8388 was talking about) but the theater was exceptionally nice (and hugh) thejoker8388 Your in luck my friend as SimEx-Iwerks, the company that created PKI's Turboride system, worked with the creators of Back to the Future... The Ride and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, and created a new Turboride system that has the 4D effects in the seats and they call it 5D (how original) I sure wish PKI would upgrade their 3D side to 5D! On a subnote, has anyone seen "The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera" that used to reside at Universal Studio Florida? I think before PKI rids themselves of everything Hanna-Barbera they should put this show in the 2D side of the Paramount Action F/X Theater (why not go out with a bang?)
  12. "My wife just noticed on the back of our season passes for PKI. Fees for food, merchandise, games, pay per experience attractions, special events, concerts, and Winterfest are not included. Also this pass is not valid on events requiring a special admission fee such as Winterfest. So it sounds as if winterfest is definatly coming back. Sorry if this is old news, but it's new to me." -coastertigger, Coasterbuzz.com Can anyone confirm this?
  13. ^What I ment by that is they aren't advertising Meet the Nicktoons Live, Meet the Nicktoons, or the Scooby-Doo Meet & Greet. BTW, does anyone know if they will still have the Outdoor Live Extertainment at LT. Dan's now that they have HappyDays?
  14. ^Maybe where the flyers used to be or on the other side, either way they have plenty of room. Take notice to the lack of Nick-related shows this year PS: Can someone please move this topic to the PKI Central News section?
  15. PKI's 2005 show lineup has finally been revealed. Tuned In faithfully return to its home in the International Showplace after last years success to once again entertain PKI guests along with 3 new shows all themed to movies and television shows: Star Search Live, Happy Days, and School of Rock: Live in Concert! Click here to check em' out.
  16. I think if they don't plan on refurbishing The Paramount Story, then they should move all the props to along the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad to replace the long-gone oldwest theme that once was and turn it into something like the MGM and Universal backlot tour attractions. Hopefully something will be done with it to celebrate Paramount's upcoming "100th anniversary"
  17. Alrighty then, Alan Silvestri composed the ride music for ROTM (same guy who composed for the movie) and Andy Garfield composed the ride music for MIB:AA.
  18. Great job Rob Love your music, it really adds to the atmosphere of the ride! It looks like you even won an award for your work on Tomb Raider, congrats on that! Alien Seed, I think the rides at Universal Studios Florida use the same music composed for the movies, but here is a list of the composers on the back of my Islands of Adventure soundtrack: William Kidd, Tony Humecke, Chip Smith, Kurt Krause, Jonathan Green, William Ashford, William Morosi, Howard Drossin, Peter Lehman, Kenneth Thorne, and Michael Kibbe.
  19. Zero g Network now also has a photo update from the construction tour. Thanks for the great photos Dane and Ryan I hope they hide the ride with trees and what not! Oh yeah, Shaggs says "Grand opening for the Italian Job is set for May 19th."
  20. Well PkdPlace.com has added photos of Tomb Raider Firefall and I must say, "even without all the theming done this ride looks awsome!"
  21. WOW When I said eveyone would be surprised come opening day, I wasn't talking about myself. I can't beleive their using the fire water effect, looks so sweet my eyes could rot. Only wish PKI's version would use that effect.
  22. So anything new (refering to the other "surprises" appearing in the 2005 season)? Also Dane, will there be a photo update of the IJST and Happy Days Diner?
  23. I get it, you're saying the rides appearance is dull (due to the theming not being done) and not that it will be a dull ride. Don't worry, I'm sure when its done it'll offer plenty of eyecandy! kong fu guy, please make your posts a litte more clear so we can avoid missunderstandings like this Thanks!
  24. We've had a Travel Channel special all this week! So far the only thing I liked was Disney's Imagineers, the rest I've seen before. 25. This is what I thought, I'm sure we'll see the arrival of the remaining six cars sometime soon (including the white ones). I'm pretty sure the cars will still have opening doors (rideops most likely open them with a switch) and I'm definate the cars will use lap bars (as Premier is the king at making coasters with lapbars). Glad to see the helicopter with a machine gun under it (I wonder if fire will come out to simulate shooting at the cars), and the part with the police cars will be sweet by how close you are to the ground (so your not above the cars). Are they building a tarp over the bridge?
