Well this is all good in thought, but lets see how well they put it into action. Hopefully they do actually try to stop line jumping, as it seems to be horrible at some of their parks.

I think more parks should be like Busch Gardens Williamsburg (yes I know its technically "europe" now but I think it sounds rather goofy) in their approach to the midway games. When I was there I found the peaceful pathways to be a bit of a relief, to say the least.

I must have hit T2 on a good day. I really did not find anything wrong with it. It was my first ride on a standard SLC clone, so I guess my opinion was rather bias, but I thought it was an interesting track design,

Headless Hollow is a good haunt if you hit it at the right time. If you are one of the first off the train and proceed straight to the entrance with few in front of you, you will probably have an excellent experience. It gets disappointing when the line backs up and the actors aren't able to scare people anymore.

Has anyone else here ridden Stealth at PGA and then Borg at Carowinds? I rode the later in its inaugural year at PC and Stealth in its last year at PGA. I noticed a huge difference. The capacity was better, the ride looked a lot better, the theming was in tip-top shape, and the location in the center of the park was impecable! I see a recurrance of this situation coming next year.

Flight of Fear is incredible when the mid-course brakes are off. Flying through those turns at the end of the course is nothing less than amazing.

Wow, I never would have imagined that Geauga Lake would be actually taking out X-Flight. I can't help remembering the whole Stealth/Borg deal in 2003/2004....Which, by the way, turned out very nicely for the park down South.

Yes indeed. I see Cedar Fair helping, not harming, Kings Island. I really don't think they will put KI on the "back burner", so to speak. With the addition of the Great Wolf Lodge, hopefully Kings Island will begin to develop as more of a vacation destination.

Hm, good observation. I looked at them when I was there this weekend, and I can see why you would have said that. They do look very similar.

Cedar Point has greater monetary gains simply because it is a vacation destination more than anything else. I live in Cincinnati, and I have more merchandise from Cedar Point than from Kings Island. I have several unique items from Kings Island that I have kept because they are historical, but I don't regularly purchase a simple souvenir from Kings Island. Cedar Point items are reminders of vacations, where Kings Island is generally accepted as a local place.

I doubt we'll see housing, as the park is in a relatively urban area. Cedar Point needs employee housing, as it is on a peninsula at the top of Ohio, with the nearest metropolitan areas being Cleveland and Toledo, each of which are a fair distance away from the park.

Geeze...there's alot of time between now and April. Is the 21st the definite opening date? That just seems rather late to me.

I don't know....If I was with a group of friends and they made this offer, I think we would do it. Lines at amusement park halloween events can get rather long.

Yes, Interpreter, the pizza at the Frontier Inn is quite tasty. I had a slice on my visit there about 2 weeks ago and I was more than satisfied. As for the pizza on the main midway in the front of the park, well, that's a whole different story.

Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm is probably my favorite wooden coaster to date. That ride never lets up from start to finish. Granted, I am yet to ride the Voyage, but I have to say that Ghostrider is awesome. It beats the heck out of you, but it's still incredible.

It can be argued that Superman does not hit 100 m.p.h. anymore... I have visited SFMM twice, two seasons apart, and it was very obvious that the 15-passenger car was not making it up nearly as high as it used to. I have seen pictures from late 1996-1997 that show the car almost to the top of the tower. It's a fun ride, nevertheless.

^Hmm..That's interesting, I never knew that they could do that. I always thought that they kept the same park map all season.

Only 7 days until opening day, I am so excited. This off season has been a long one.

That is one of the most obvious yet insightful remarks that I have heard in a while. I think that many public places do not take this fact into consideration, even though it is definetly a necessary precaution.

I voted for Rivertown, because the employees there always seem to be outgoing and friendly. Hopefully I can be a positive addition to that area this year!

Blue Streak is excellent! I never really used to ride it much, but now it is a must-ride for every trip to the Point. The classic airtime is awesome. It is also very smooth, and it gives a cool view of the lake, Raptor, etc.
