Orange Car #2 - is that in reference to the best ride at PKI, Shake Rattle and Roll?

The fishtailing definately works. The mechanism is very similar to TOP GUN's swinging mechanism. Ride in white six and you will feel it. Learned that from PKINickRoedl who had me sit in White Six just cause I didn't believe that the fishtailing worked.

Yeah you're right, Di$ney has the righs to that. That is probably one of the reasons that Adventure Express isn't heavily themed like it could be. One cool thing I have noticed is that Adventure Express is the Express to Outpost Five right? Well on the side of the Son of Beast station, as seen from the Eiffel Tower - it says Outpost 5 and has that Biohazard symbol thingy.

Yeah I believe Vortex had a 45 minute to an hour wait as well. It was PACKED!

Uh I am pretty sure you can - because he did. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, because there are MANY MANY MANY MANY better rides out there than Beast. But still its a ride. Sometimes I get in the mood to ride it. But yeah I would rather ride other things at PKI than Beast - like FOF or Vortex or Beastie even. Beastie is VERY good! Especially in the back! It has something Beast doesnt... AIRTIME!

I disagree - alot of people think its cool to EXPERIENCE the movie. That is what is so great about IJST. It is more of an experience than it is a thrill ride. When I am at PKI I hear a lot of people who think it's neat cause it has cars and whoa thats real fire. Also you assume that because I am an ACEr that I want a 400 foot tall piece of **** like Top Thrill Dragster. You forget that my favorite roller coaster ever is smaller than Racer at PKI.

I remember there being a Vekoma Tilt Coaster on one of those surveys. Id really like to see that happen sometime...

Yeah last time I did the Walk on Weekend at SDATHC, there was a seperator standing there where the two lines would merge. They made me and Mrs Admiral and Baby Admiral wait a minute or two then we got in. They had to explain to the people we were jumping in front of that we were gold pass holders and it was one of the benefits of it. The people were like oh ok.

Well it could be chlorinated. Anaconda at PKD has a big lake on it - that is what I am talking about - something like that. Like have the whole ride over water. Now it wouldn't be practical for our TOP GUN - but I mean say PKD got a TOP GUN - since they don't have one. Then it would be cool for an Arrow Suspended like we have - with an Aircraft Carrier themed station complete with aircraft control tower and over water. I can dream can't I? Oh - and I thought of another tie in with our TOP GUN and the movie. When the coaster does that high banked turn over the station - that is Maverick and Goose "buzzing the tower"! I am sure someone else thought of that already - but it just occured to me...

Yeah I am still in denial. Only two weeks of weekly operation left at PKI. Then its just weekends. Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and PKI will both be closed soon. It is so sad. Its the post-season blues...

That is true. It could just be stunt track. And I was forgetting that 98% of the general public is pretty dumb - and probably half of the people that ride IJST and like it - have never seen the movie. They are totally oblivious to the fact that its theme is real, and they still like it. So maybe it will work out. Like Tomb Raider. It is another example. Alot of people who ride it have never seen the movies or played the games. They still like it. And like IJST, it is another ride that if you took away its themeing, and made it a giant Top Spin in a beige box - it would be so boring it would be depressing. IJST might work out in the long run. I don't know. I am just saying that I personally do not like it. I am not alone in this opinion, but I realize many more people do enjoy it. My main issue is that theming does not do it for me. It is hard for me to ride a ride that is totally carried by its theming and enjoy it. When I ride a roller coaster I look at the track - meaning I pretty much ignore the theming. Answer me this Combat Stupendous. If you took IJST - put plain FOF style trains on it and set it in the middle of a giant field of wheat - would you still like it as much? Do you agree that the ride is totally stupid without its theming? Without the Minis, and the Black&Whites and the Helicopter and the fire etc.

What about New Kids on the Block, or those rulers that you snap on your wrist and they become bracelets. How about Furby or the Macarena. Yeah stuff is popular when it first comes out. IJST will lose popularity. Just like these Livestrong wristband clones. Lance Armstrong had a good thing - but then theres ones now that say Princess and Spoiled and stuff like that on them. Its a fad. In a few months to a year - those will be long gone as well.

In five years IJST will not be NEARLY as popluar as it is now. It is such a hit and has such a long line cause its new and everyone wants to ride it. But once people get used to it - it will be a been there done that type deal. Sure people will still ride it alot, but the only days it will have LONG lines will be when the park is crowded, such as bring a friend free day. On normal days it will have fairly short lines. Right now the four busiest rides are FOF, IJST, TRTR and DZ. In two years it will go back to being FOF, TRTR and DZ - and the new coaster if there really is one. The thing that sucks about IJST is that it cannot be adapted to another theme. How long does Paramount think the movie Italian Job is going to stay in the public eye?
