^ Which considering how they bought two - they would get two free! Although it isn't very thrilling - it is cheap. I think IJST coast 3 Mil total for theming and the coaster. So for that kind of an experience it is well worth it. They can buy four of them for less than half the price of Son of Beast!

Did he tell you too? I also heard it from the Lemon Chill guy. While we are on the topic - Dippin Dots guy told me that Flight of Fear is becoming an outdoor coaster next year - with the new MTV Soundwave theme.
-
Well if you didn't know - there are rumors that PKD will be getting an IJST for 2006. Also this was found on the Official Carowinds Website. Carowinds Site Check it out. So is it possible there will be FOUR IJST roller coasters out there? Why does Paramount think its so good that they need to clone it four times??? It really isn't that good. The only coasters there that are possibly less thrilling than IJST are Top Cat's Taxi Jam, Beastie, Scooby's Ghoster Coaster.

PKI once again adds first Weekend of Novemeber
Admiral Ackbar replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Kings Island
Were you those guys standing around in a circle taking fake shots every time that short guy said the word Reverend? I was there - I was wondering what was going on... -
I can't say but I do have my sources. It's true I tell ya!

PKI once again adds first Weekend of Novemeber
Admiral Ackbar replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Kings Island
I wonder if they will again do that last ride of the season on TEH B3AST like they did last year. Last year it was November 7th and all the Acers and general public could come and close out the season on the world's tallest fastest and longest moving sidewalk. -
In the past Lap Bars haven't worked well on Arrow CLCs. They tried putting a Magnum train on Corkscrew once... Bad idea! I once did see a roller coaster that goes through a loop type inversion with nothing but a seatbelt! I know you aren't going to believe me so I am including this link. It is a home made coaster called the Blue Flash. It looks small but its loop is like six G I think - and you have nothing but a lap belt! Not even a 5-point racing harness or anything! The Blue Flash Backyard Coaster Be sure and check out the video. In the loop, your head pretty much stays in one place and your body moves around it. Its gotta be the first Headline Roll ever!

I heard that in 2007 Vortex is getting retracked by Vekoma, and getting Vekoma floorless trains and a cable lift instead of a lift chain. Also it may get two new inversions!

Speaking of making things, would you happen to have a recipé for Fettucini Alfredo? I have been looking for one for sometime... I have just been busy for so long - with work and travel and recently getting ordained. Yes, that is right, Admiral Ackbar is now an Ordained Reverend.
-
Best post ever!!!! If someone were to explain to you why Vortex was down, would it make you feel better? Honestly when you ask the person at the front of the line - why is it shut down - do you want them to say oh someone fell out. I mean this never happened - but it is a machine. Stuff breaks. Cars need new tires, oil changes, new belts, etc. Coasters are the same way. Stuff wears out and it needs to be replaced! It isn't a big deal. So you see someone standing at the front of The Vortex line. Next time ask them - Is it closed because it is sinking, and drilling machines are on their way to drill down and pump concrete into the ground in an effort to firm it up?

I have to say that Delirium is alot like the Giant Frisbee at Nagashima Spaland. I went there on my Japan trip. I had quite a blast. Myself and Mrs Admiral rode it. It has the same paint scheme and everything.
-
Yes, I was there and it was indeed open. It was running with people on it. The guy at greeter said it had about a 45 minute line, so I passed it up... I'll hit it next week when it is not so busy... Let me say it sure was a sight for sore eyes!!!

According to COPPA you must be 13 years or older. You may join if you are under 13, but you must have your parents submit a COPPA release form to the administrators of the site. COPPA I believe is Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

I doubt that you have the equipment or know how to make such a part at all - let alone faster than HUSS. I think they are doing just fine, and that both companies are are working hard to get the ride back up in a timely manner.

Who holds their arms up on flight of fear?
Admiral Ackbar replied to YoungStud's topic in Kings Island
I used to hold them up - but there really isnt any point in it. It makes me tired. -
That is what you are supposed to do...

They do call it winterfest and not Christmasfest.
-
No they dont. Gemini has steel tack and wooden supports. Its still a hybrid coaster. Sure PKI and CP have steel hybrids with wooden supports and steel track. Has anyone been on Tiwisted Siter/ Tiwisted Tiwns? at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom? Its a okay coaster small and good. Indeed, being a former Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom employee, I have been on Twisted Twins. It is decent. It is great when both sides are running!

54 Million is the value of the park. The land and all improvements on the land. Sidewalks and roads, buildings, rides, plumbing, electric etc. Business wise, the park is worth a lot more because of its money making potential. That is just the value of the stuff on the park property.

I love it when the train comes back and people think the seat is empty because the person that was in it fell out - and they don't ride in that seat and wait till the next train.
-
Sounds *****in. I however will not be able to come - I will be in Missouri at the time for business.

First thing you do, as said earlier - is ask permission, as these photos are watermarked and are protected under a VALID copyright. Secondly - to put it on a website you use <img src="URL OF IMAGE" /> or if its a forum you use [img=URL OF IMAGE] The URL is the http://blah.blah.com/blah.jpg type address.

Back in the day, I was an operator at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. I have to say that it is very exhausting to check bars and operate roller coasters. I have worked in food service AND I have worked in rides operation. Rides Operation is a HELL OF A LOT HARDER than Food Service... The question is whether or not you can handle it!

Paramount's Kings Island is not responsible for any items left, lost, stolen or damaged while riding. You can pretty much take anything with you except for large stuffed animals and basketballs. On the coasters - including Flight of Fear - you can take your backpack or bag - and just put your feet through the shoulder straps. Flight of Fear is a little tricker if your bag is big - but it works. For ACErs like me - most of the rides easily accomodate Fanny Packs - from the light models, to the deluxe models with the drink carrier and camera holder. Also lockers are a good idea. You can put your stuff in there, and open and close them numerous times. If you win one of those giant gorillas right at 10:01 - you can take it up to the stroller rental place and check the item and pick it up later in the day. There is a nominal fee for it however.
