In case anyone was interested in the original logo for Mantis

Welcome aboard!

Very interesting find! Very interesting, indeed.

Look at all the pretty trees.... Tusk, who likes to be observant.

A bumblebee. Flying around on an inverted B&M themed to a bee, named Stinger. I'd think, you would be getting a call from the Columbus Blue Jackets to turn it into a hockey themed coaster showing their pride and joy mascot. Yup, you guessed it, "Stinger". Edit - well this was a pointless post. I overlooked, Jr for Birdy already brought up stinger and the Jackets. Whoops You guys are forgetting the old Cincinnati Stingers of the 1970's WHA...come on, men! I would adore a hockey-themed coaster, though. Anyway, I believe that this sign just opens up a whole new barrel of monkeys that could mean anything or nothing at all. I am excited, but I don't want to jump to conclusions. I like reading all of your ideas, however far-fetched or reasonable they may be. It's an interesting time at KI. I could never forget about the Cincinnati Stingers. I have played hockey, literally, my entire life. If one things for sure, its that I love me some hockey.

Funny thing, I was not trying to be rude, I was merely stating how I felt about the topic. This is a place of everyone's own personal opinions right?. The path would be extremely long and unforgiving. The pure fact of building a path to connect them makes no sense. If you had started off the conversation with "They will start building a path toward Firehawk" sure, that would make sense, but saying we would build the entire path from Action Zone to Firehawk is just ludicrousness. If you honestly think they would build enough attractions, restaurants, bathrooms, to make building the path worth it, well you probably should take up the profession of path building since you know entirely more than I do about what is/isnt pointless. You took my "path that leads to the same place another one can take you" a little overboard. Revert to #1 If the park was open year round, theoretically, we would have a higher income and more guests per year. That does not necessarily mean we would still build the path, but if the park had a higher income rate and more guest visits per year, your path of awesomeness would have a higher chance of already being built. In my personal opinion its just a pointless discussion that, as has been said many times by many people, has already been discussed. But what do I know.
-
This could be a good idea, if we had a park that was open year round. The fact that we don't makes this idea terrible. Whats the point in building a long, unforgiving, path that leads to the same place another one can take you, quite easily I might add. This is not the issue that should be at hand, this is a pointless discussion. As Terpy has said earlier:

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI
Tuskin replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Coming Attractions
I still, I have said this before, would love to see "Jurassic Park River Adventure" at Kings Island. That would take some work though.... -
The picture by international street does not look bad imo. I kinda like it. However, I agree with "beastfan11" in that, we have too much space to be trying to squeeze things into the park. Expanding Action Zone into the old SOB location is more ideal. Tusk - feeling good about being back.
-
The point is, it would cost a lot more money to tear down SOB than to leave it sitting in its current state. When you have nothing to put in its place it is kinda pointless to waste the money. The Reds are looking good for this season.

The loop was not wood. The loop was originally removed with the idea that the trains were too heavy because of the kind of trains they had to use for the loop. Removing the loop allowed for different trains to be used in the hope that the lighter weight trains would help relieve some of the stress on the ride.
-
If they tear it down, they could turn all that wood into thousands, upon millions, of toothpick box's and sell them off at the park. "Have your very own piece of what used to be the tallest, fastest wooden roller coaster in the world!! Only 9.99 per box"

Correct me if I am wrong Gordon, but didn't the pyro also come on and fall to the floor at the end of the ride as well? It has been quite a long time since any of us have rode Tomb Raider with all the effects working, but I, for some reason, have this nagging feeling that the spark pyro did come on a second time as the ride was finishing its cycle.

Nashville: new theme park?

Very interesting. -
I have to be honest with you, I would love for a ride the caliber of Jurassic Park the Ride at Universal Studios Orlando Florida. We do not have that many water rides in the park anymore. White Water Canyon, Congo Falls, Race for your Life Charlie Brown, I would like to see Congo Falls removed and them replace it with a upgraded version somewhere else in the park where they could make it a longer ride. I know that is a real stretch but hey, its a dream ride right?
-
Great pictures, I really enjoyed looking at them.
-
I am extremely glad to hear they did some work on the ride this year.

We need a like button. We have a "agree" and "disagree" button on the forums i moderate for the bluejackets. I would tend to think it would not take a lot of effort to add that here as well. Just sayin

Its a great place for anyone who enjoys trains. I personally love trains and have never had so much fun in such a relaxing way.

Dinosaurs Alive! is coming to Kings Island in 2011
Tuskin replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
The animatronics do not look that entertaining. I will probably go through it once and that will be plenty for me. The fact that they are spending a ton of money on revitalizing the park, and bring in 2 major attractions is amazing in itself. Even with the debt and economy issue it shows that they do care about bringing fun to whoever comes to the park. Small or big, both kids and adults have something to enjoy this year. Great for you Cedar Fair! -
I look forward to seeing said photos
