  1. Simple concept, but that can still be hard for some people to follow. Especially how simple directions given repeatedly can go so un-noticed...
  2. Tomb Raider opens at 10 AM just like all of the other rides, with a few exceptions (WWC comes to mind).
  3. I know someone who rode TRTR 30 times in a row. It's crazy, isn't it?
  4. Awesome update. It seems to me that the show will be bigger and brighter than before... literally. Maybe it's the photos, but the lighting seems to pack quite a punch this year. Very, very cool.
  5. Third timer for me. This should be a lot of fun.
  6. I believe construction began in fall of 2001 and ended sometime near the premiere date of April 5th, 2002.
  7. Turborides are meant to be different from other motion simulators. Back to the Future and Star Tours are both enclosed, Turborides are more of the theatre type. No simulator is going to be perfect. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages. With motion seats such as those by Iwerks and Technifex, you're able to implement other effects to create a 4 or 5D ride. You typically don't see that being used in Enclosed rides, such as those by Thompson or Doron. Personally, I like Action Theater. If the film is done right and the movements are good, it's done its job for me. (I.E. James Bond)
  8. Delirium? The ride just went/ is under major repair. What makes you think they'd run it in winter?
  9. It's pretty obvious what the announcement is...
  10. There hasn't been a show in the Nickelodeon Theater for the past couple of seasons, which is sad, because it's a neat lil facility which apparently is better used as a meet 'n' greet spot.
  11. There's also an understanding when you download any media from any composer or artist who has their work listed under ASCAP or any other organizations.
  12. Do you have the drum loop? I'm sure a lot of people do... I think a basic rundown of what you can find out there is: - Antechamber - Preshow Backing - Ride Show - Drums Backing Then there are the simultaneous effects tracks. The only track I know of for FOF that you can find is a 5 minute clip from the preshow video with the Outer Limits name. Although I'm pretty sure if you look hard enough, you can find more. Just keep looking.
  13. They did. E Team Skydivers were present for the media preview as well as Nights of Fire. They're based in Mason.
  14. Very sad indeed, Bill. But, I liked the show.
  15. That's what he's talking about, Surfer's Paradise. Boomerang Bay has a Double FlowRider and a Mega-RetroRider.
  16. My fav. was Action FX Theater, when 007 was there.
  17. If I'm not mistaken, around $10 million. Personally, I think it's worth the cost; It's something fresh and new. I just hope they keep up with the themeing.
  18. I'm guessing they distribute them as you pass through the area.
  19. To the question at hand, it seems there is a difference in where the breaking section is on the giant drop and gyro drop rides. On the giant drops, such as Pit Fall, they seem to have a longer drop portion, with the breaking section closer to the ground. Gyro drops seem to have a shorter drop, with the breaking section earlier in the drop. Both may have relatively close specs, but it's all in the design and execution of the thrill.
