how is that even an answer to that question? Maybe someone should ask what "On the map" means for tomorrow's 5@5

I actually normally do eat in the park. Even though it's expensive, it's nice to sit down in the park, and eat some good food while enjoying the park's atmosphere. I am crazy I know!
-
Well, the ride is pretty much pointless if it cannot have any water effects, that's what it was designed to have. Right now, you are sitting in an unthemed giant garage. No fog, not even half of the cool lights it once had, no theming, no nothing.

After seeing Firefall at Great America (which was installed after the CF take over) I would really just rather The Crypt be torn down, along with the deteriorating queue. And just start over and put in a regular Topspin, facing the midway outdoors, and theme it just like Firefall at Great America. Our current Crypt can't get most of it's effects back due to licensing, and moisture problems. The queue is falling apart. The ride cycle is boring. Our Crypt sucks. They should just start from scratch. Here is Firefall at Great America. This themeing was all done by Cedar Fair, no matter how surprising that may be! http://www.viddler.com/explore/Sacramento_Bee/videos/20/

Cedar Fair is definitely capable of theming. Check out Firefall at Great America. This was installed AFTER the Cedar Fair takeover. Cedar Fair themed all of this! It's just whether or not they take the initiative to theme a ride http://www.viddler.com/explore/Sacramento_Bee/videos/20/

Theme Park Jobs...
kjkjkj replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Wow. Could they be any more condescending? I would hardly say that most amusement park workers were stoners. Well, maybe a few are in in their spare time, but not while working! Some show performers are very talented, and go on to be famous. (Carmen Electra anyone?) I think this would be offensive to some amusement park workers! -
And,purple and orange suggested the name Beastie to you before?....
-
I hope so, but I was just pointing out that anything could happen. It would be horrible if it did, and it's unlikely it will. I just hope it never comes to that!
-
People were shocked when it happened there. Anything can happen.... I am not necessarily talking about right now, or what happens on 031610
-
I just hope Kings Island doesn't see a situation like Geauga Lake, not while I'm around anyway...
-
^ Thanks for putting the picture directly up, I couldn't get it to do it for some reason on my computer
-
I figured I would post this here, since this is sort of the Kings Island Facebook Update thread. The former FoC looks fantasic! My link
-
That was really informative! It's sad that design flaws inhibit the special effects, and the ride itself.
-
Just keep asking it. Maybe now that it's back to a general thing instead of to specific people who work at the park, it might finally get answered.
-
That was a nice video, it made me laugh. It's sad that they are gone though. On a side note, if you listen closely at about 5mins. they say they even went on Son of Beast that day!
-
That is interesting that they are bringing Sally in to do the retheme. I figured they would just take out all Scooby references, and just make it generic. I am excited to learn more about the former Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle
-
Once again, it was simply called "Ice Cream" when the area was known as Nick Universe. So it's not like this is another one of Cedar Fair's generic name changes. It was called that before they owned the park. However, when it was HB Land, it was known as Huckleberry Dairy
-
The real question is if Son of Beast will be included when we get the Kings Island website overhaul.
-
That's what it was called when it was Nick Universe....
-
Anything can happen I suppose. Just bringing up some points that this isn't the first KI slogan that could be used anywhere else LOL! That was hilarious
-
^ Exactly! I have a feeling they wouldn't be using the park's new slogan any time soon though. Some of the park's old slogans could have just as easily been placed with other businesses and still worked just the same. "America's Family Entertainment Center" could have been placed on any Amusement Park, or place for families to be entertained. "Let Yourself Go" could be placed on any buffet restaurant
-
I don't think "Kings Island: The Fun and Only" would work very well for any other business, unless that business included Kings Island in the name
-
That does look pretty nice! I have to admit. I didn't like the thought of PEANUTS invading Kings Island, at first. However, I always have liked Snoopy and Woodstock, but the other human characters were pretty boring. So now to my point. Now that I am starting to see that Planet Snoopy will be themed mostly toward snoopy and Woodstock, I am actually really starting to like this retheme! For some reason the Snowcone sign on the website kind of won me over. How can you look at that and not smile a little bit? and think that kids won't enjoy Snoopy and Woodstock?
-
I actually like the slogan now. I didn't love it when we first saw it a while ago, but now that I hear it, I actually like it a lot. It [the jingle posted on youtube] sounds kind of 80s-ish. It does make me picture sunny summer days, and the rides of Kings Island.

Yeah, the park probably makes a lot more money holding HH, but the church groups CHOOSING not to go, then the park not having HH at all, and having the church groups come to the park.
